I have wondered why there has been no talk of expansion there. It seems ripe for growth. And with numbers like that it could actually help the smaller chapter since it's not like their chapter size is puny.
|
Alpha Delta Pi's Alpha Alpha chapter was there until 1985, but that doesn't mean that they/we should necessarily have first rights of colonization.
|
Looks like AOII was there until 2008. Maybe they have an agreement. Not that I have anything to do with it, but I'd take a pass there for us. No chapters in the state, never been on that campus. Looking more towards the SEC.

According to the AOII kappa lambda chapter's facebook page, the University of Calgary's recruitment is Sep 22 thru Oct.1

Just a note of thanks to everyone who has been providing data to be entered into the googledoc. Blank spaces make my OCD go kinda bonkers so I love love love when we have notations for every chapter at a school. Now, if I could be so bold as to make a request, MA and MI are sadly lacking in data. Anyone ready to do some stalking on our behalf?
And as a reminder, here's the link again: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...gid=2027436174 |
^^^ Most campuses in Michigan are still recruiting, so it's too early for much info.
Michigan State quota was 59 and Gamma Phi Beta has 67 new members. |

ETA: @DubaiSis: I'm sorry to hear that. I don't know what happened. I know the chapter was struggling a bit when I left, but I don't know what ultimately led to the chapter closing. I had a lot of friends in the chapter. Things have changed a lot since I was there... |
When I went through rush in 1981, Alpha Xi was the smallest chapter at Michigan...pre-RFM and the writing was on the wall that they wouldn't be able to hang on much longer, so no one wanted to join the "doomed" chapter. I thought the chapter had closed shortly thereafter, but the listing here says 2000, so I think there must have been a recolonization/reorg in there at some point. Our chapter at Michigan did that in the mid-90s, too, and it didn't work, either. And those weren't the only ones. RFM has really helped at Michigan.
