I never thought Iowa would beat Ohio State. I did think we had a legit shot at beating them......but had a big let down when our CB got suspended for the game. I knew we wouldn't have anyone to contain Ted Ginn Jr. Either way, we didn't get outplayed, rather beating ourselves....I can live with that.

I don't expect Ohio State to have a "let down" per se....I think that Michigan is genuinely better than them. All around, I think they are the best team in the country.

Fixed the above quote for you deltalum;) I agree with macallan25, Michigan will have no problem stopping Pittman and that run game and their secondary is good. They have good speed on defense that wasn't there in recent years. I think Michigan has a great chance to beat tOSU as long as they don't let Troy Smith play like Vince Young did in the 04 Rose Bowl vs Michigan.

Then again, they haven't beat OSU much in recent years and that will be one hostile crowd to deal with.

Thanks so much.

I've been around sports for too long to ever say, "(fill in the blank) is going to beat (fill in the blank).

I think Ohio State will beat Michigan this year.

I've been wrong before.

Same here, I would like to see "team A" beat "team B" but things don't always happen the way we want it to. I thought the tigers would finish 4th and my sox would win the central but we all know what happened there.

It isn't like Texas was playing especially well either. Also, the fact that this is over two weeks old is makes it kinda lame. In addition, the fact that you can't pick on someone your own size makes you lame.

Also, that poor boy. He's now been embarrassed on national TV. Personally, I think the picture shouldn't be distributed. Make fun of OU if you want, but the boy is young, and this is just cruel.

Not to mention illegal, if he didn't sign a photo release form, and isn't getting any royalities from his image....

I beg to differ.

shinerbock 10-18-2006 04:36 PM

And I thought Stoops was the biggest crybaby for OU.

macallan25 10-18-2006 06:42 PM

I'm thuroughly convinced that Stoops isn't nearly as good without his brother.

One of our GC lawyers will have to confirm this, but my understanding is that if you choose to go into a public place like a stadium where it is obvious an event is being televised, you give your (understood) permission for the use of your likeness, voice, etc.

I'm not an attorney but I do believe you are correct about that, DA.

I'm sure other die hard football fans can relate, but this is so my happy place:

I'm actually about 99.9% sure after directing TV sports and news for over thirty years. I've just learned not to say anything that's out of my field is 100% accurate.

I agree with you Delt'. And I would take it even farther. Next time one is in a big city, start looking for and counting cameras. I did that a few weeks ago and stopped at twenty in under one hour.
