Rap mogul P. Diddy is desperate to become the first black man to play legendary secret agent James Bond. The rapper has appeared on Broadway and secured a film role in the prequel "Carlito's Way: The Beginning," he feel he's qualified to play Bond and he's convinced that he would be strong competition for Bond wannabees Colin Farrell, Hugh Jackman, Clive Owen and Jude Law. Diddy says, "The world is ready for a black James Bond."

Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey have denied recent reports they're considering a divorce. They are furious that the tabloids printed a story claiming Lachey had cheated on his wife at a friend's bachelor party, insisting the marriage is stronger than ever.



Teen pop star Aaron Carter is expected to be called to the witness stand to discuss his friendship with Michael Jackson by prosecutors in Jackson's child molestation case. Prosecutors are very interested to find out why Jackson gave 16-year old Carter a $300,000 Rolls Royce.

Pop beauty Beyonce Knowles has leapt to the defense of her contract with fast food giants McDonald's - insisting she has always loved eating the chain's food. Some two weeks after starting an ambitious weight-loss regimen, 449-lb. American Idol champ Ruben Studdard has decided to ditch the diet, PEOPLE reports.

Studdard, 26, who had lost about 12 lbs., initially chose to follow a low-carb, low-cal, medically supervised meal plan and display the results on the TV show Extra. But "I didn't have time to go in every day to meet with a nurse like the diet required," says Studdard

I say no to Sean Diddy as James Bond. Not handsome enough. But I really can't think of a 40 or younger leading man type who is TALL. For some reason, I think of Bond as tall.

I think it is someone else. They did not say does not like BLACK women but women period.

P. Diddy as James Bond? HELL NO!! Diddy fix your mama's attire and wigeave and maybe can cast you as a supporting supporting actor but DEFINITELY not James Bond. And this is coming from someone who has never ever ever seen a James Bond flick.

If they are looking to darken James Bond I say go with Denzel!!

Another candidates could be ..Dennis Haybert (pres from 24)..he has the Bond like strut..not sure how he would do with the action scenes.

If the Bond has to be under 40 maybe Morris Chestnut or Boris Kodjoe...I can't actually see them in the part just want an excuse to look at them for 2 hours!:D

I also don't think its Wesley..its someone that has had money to keep the rumors off successfully for years...and I'm hard pressed to think of someone that "big"...

..my initial thought was Martin Lawrence...but I would't primarily label him as an actor.
