Girl, forget ripping off the diamond. I am surprised that they didn't cut your finger off to take the diamond and make your husband file for divorce! :D (my dad was born and raised in Alabama) PS I had a similar reaction when I was around my inlaws and I asked who was Maurice 'Rocket' Richard. (DH grew up in Montreal and he is a die hard hockey fan) They looked at me as if I had 3 heads |
Jill: We should have switched in-laws. I grew up partly in Minnesota and would attend North Star games (when they were in MN) so I know hockey.
I love Montreal BTW. Beautiful city. |

I had to look him up. I was expecting someone who cured cancer, not a football coach, but then again, I'm not from the south!

  Granted, my daddy was a Yankee and my mother from the South, but it was my daddy who had a heart attack during a football game, and wouldn't go to the hospital until halftime!! He was okay in my granddaddy's book!
Bear Bryant = minor god in most of the country. Anything less is akin to blasthemy! |

The first rule of University of Alabama Recruitment 2007 thread is - you must know of Bear Bryant. The second rule of University of Alabama Recruitment 2007 thread is - you DO NOT talk about not knowing of Bear Bryant.

I'm not from the south and even I know who Bear Bryant is....
Then again, I am a bit of a football geek.:D |
What pains me more is when people from the South (any southeastern state even) don't know who the Bear was. Aaargh!
|
I'm from the south, and I had no clue. I dont pay attention to sports. I didnt even bother googling it, I figured soemone would say something eventually about who he was. okay. football. big deal.
