LOL, I live in New Orleans, really I stay in Metaire, but who even knows the difference. Rent is cheap, and they are nice apartments. My one bedroom apartment is only $500. I have friends who only pay $650 for a two bedroom apartment. When I move back to Dallas, I am going to be in for a real shock.

SAY WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA:eek: :( :o  :( :o

Y'all know I am in Charlotte. My apartment retails for close to $900  but I got a deal when I moved in.

Since I share a house, I pay $575 out here in Lower Kollyfornia, utilities included. But it's not uncommon to have apartments renting for $2K and mortgages of $3K.

Maine man proposes topless coffee shop in city

MADISON, Maine (AP) — Tired of the same old Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts:D? The Madison Planning Board tonight takes up a man's application to open a topless coffee shop on Main Street.

Normand St. Michel says his plan to employ partially nude waitresses is intended to boost the establishment's chances of success. He says the idea is to do something different to attract coffee drinkers.

St. Michel says he also wants to run a clean business in which no alcohol will be sold.

Madison's code enforcement officer says he knows of no town ordinances that would bar such an operation. Robert Dunphy Jr. also said he doesn't think the interior of the coffee shop would be visible from the street.

We got eight of the Divine Nine in the area too. :) In addition we have an all night donut place, the Pita Pit (open until after the bars close) dollar wells drink nights, a chinese buffet, a jazz festival, and drag queen shows.

(we're only 1.5 hours away from a major city with an airport too)

I thought this meant that the actual coffee shop wouldn't have a roof. :o

 @ saggy boobs that might dip in your coffee cup. Eeeewwwww! But I guess they would discriminate against the saggy-boobed women anyway.

Social Worker Stole from Beggars to Buy BMW
Tue Feb 24,10:01 AM ET Add Oddly Enough - Reuters to My Yahoo!

BERLIN (Reuters) - A German social worker pocketed more than $163,800 in public funds intended for homeless people and war refugees and bought himself a brand new BMW with the money, a court said Tuesday.

The 39-year-old Berlin man was convicted of embezzlement and received a two-year suspended jail sentence. He was also told to repay the money.

"He wasn't exactly adhering to the Robin Hood principle," said a court spokesman, referring to the medieval legend who robbed the rich to give to the poor.

The defendant told Bild newspaper it had been easy for him to channel funds to his own account because he had clearance to issue individual payments of up to $1,890.

"It was an enormous temptation, just a computer click away," he told the newspaper.

Gambler Faces 'Indentured' Servitude?
1 hour, 41 minutes ago Add Oddly Enough - Reuters to My Yahoo!

BERLIN (Reuters) - A German man who failed to settle a gambling debt called police after his dentures were seized as collateral, police said on Thursday.

"He called us saying he was afraid he might have to live off liquid food for the next few days," said a police spokesman in the western city of Dortmund.

Police persuaded a 51-year-old local man to hand over the dentures after the owner promised to settle a 150 euro ($186.6) debt.

"He gave us a great big smile at getting them back," police said.
