You're right. The OTH recording Tyler Hilton and Bethany Joy Lenz did was right before Tim McGraw did his version. I thought they did a pretty good job with it.

And then I remember being at Nashville's Waikiki and it came on and I remember screaming, "What the fcuk is this crap?" to everyone in the bar.

But yay. Sanjaya. Don't let the door hit you on your way out.

Dial Idol was showing him as being in the bottom.. but then they haven't been all that accurate this season.

I wonder if Ryan Adams is pissed that they kept saying When the Stars Go Blue is a Tim McGraw song.

Just ask Dolly Parton what she thinks of Whitney and "I Will Always Love You". ;)

I have a chapter sister who didn't believe that it was actually a song pre-Tim McGraw.

I sent her the mp3s of Ryan Adams, Bono/Corrs, and OTH and even she agreed that those versions are way better.

OK, believe it or not, I need to know the answer of this question for WORK! I cannot find the answer on any AI Web sites.

Can any of you tell me what the air date is for this season's final competition show and the finale (reveal) show?

As I much as I disliked Sanjaya, I did begin to feel bad for him. The poor kid was BAWLING onstage! Of course I wanted to cry whenever the kid opened his mouth to sing, so I guess we're even ;)

Good point! Which is also one of the reasons we've rarely heard that song on idol.. I don't think Dolly has released the rights to it.

I love Tim McGraw and all but I hate his version of When the Stars Go Blue.
