And it was so subtle too! I normally don't read that part because I figure it's always the same. But here's to hoping.

I've said it before... book 6 needs to be out NOW!

The subtle change totally has me like . I want to know what it means!

I hope this is the right thread for this...

Amazon is funny. I just got this email.

BWAH! I didn't get one of those. But I did get the email they were referring to a LONG time ago.

LMAO!!!

That was an awesome email.

DELTAQTE 12-18-2004 04:12 PM

It's interesting that Hermione is older than Ron and Harry. I always thought she was the youngest.

Also the whole Neville and Luna thing. Did people really think they were going to get together?

And I laughed at what she said about the Ron/Hermione and Harry/Hermione people. I've always thought the author's intent was clearly Ron/Hermione.

has anyone else received emails saying that the release date should be publizied within the next 24 hours? I am a little suppicious about this email...although it is also listed on the leaky cauldron also...plus, yea!! the door is opened again...

DolphinChicaDDD 12-21-2004 12:19 AM

That was one of the roughest puzzles. Honestly, what is ron's least favorite sandwich??
I admit it, I cheated on this one.
This is the greatest early christmas present!! whoo-hoo!! I hope the date won't be until after finals in may...or else i won't get a chance to study.

ETA: Don't be suspicous about the emails...it came directly from Jo's study. By this time tomorrow, hopefully, my book will be pre-ordered from Barnes and Nobles. And hopefully they well be wonderful people again and upgrade shipping.

July 16!!!

CNN -- New Harry Potter on Sale in Summer

ShyViolet 12-21-2004 11:44 AM

YAY! I am so excited about this, I'm definitely pre-ordering my copy in the next couple of days. Actually two copies, one of the UK release and also one of the US release.
It's slightly shorter than the Order of the Phoenix, though, that's kind of interesting, as all the other books have gotten progressively longer.

Also, the first pictures from the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire have been released (Ron and Harry in their dress robes, and Harry and Hermione before the first task) and you can see them at veritaserum.com

~ShyViolet

ps - I'm so glad there are other people who like Harry Potter as much as I do! :)

DolphinChicaDDD 12-21-2004 12:45 PM

I JUST PRE-ORDERED MY COPY!!!!

I really am banking on BN upgrading shipping to FedEx like they did last time for everyone who ordered it so far in advance.

SO EXCITED!!!

Thankfully, it is after college is out and before my best friends wedding. Good thing I'm the Maid of Honor and can pick the date of the bachelorette party and wedding showers. I garuntee they will not be on July 16th!!

chideltjen 12-21-2004 12:54 PM

WooHoo! Lots going on that week too! (My bf's birthday is the 18th and friend's birthday is the 19th!) I wonder if they'll mind getting those as gifts. ;)

Okay... I usually preorder from Amazon, but the pre-order link isn't up yet. Just the email link. But at B&N, you CAN pre-order. I don't understand.

Also if you do pre-order, be careful with the pricing. I know of others that pre-ordered CDs and books when the price was still high but Amazon DIDN'T adjust the price to the current one when it was shipped. Lots of adjustments and reimbursements. So I may wait until June to pre-order.

And those pics from GOF got me all excited for the movie. 11 more months!

Thats why I'm all about BN. They adjusted the price last time.

But I doubt that the price will drop below 17.99

ETA:The pics are awesome as well; someone refresh my memory-when is that movie due out?

ETA: PRE-ORDERED! WOO HOO!

DWAlphaGam 12-21-2004 04:06 PM

Add me to the pre-ordered bandwagon! :D I'm so friggin' excited! "Harry Potter" is now written in huge letters on my calendar on July 16th, and I warned my boyfriend that he shouldn't expect to see me that weekend. (Although I finished OotP on the Saturday that I received it, so I probably won't be tied up for the entire weekend.) :p
