It's always a good day when SHEETCAKE posts.

You're the one who mentioned the name. I started re-reading the thread & immediately edited my post - because I would NOT have mentioned the name, especially had I remembered that there was only one NPC group at the time. For that matter, had the NPC group been ADPi in this scenario, I would probably still thought that that chapter shot themselves in the foot by not offering a bid to Corinna.

Sheesh.

I wouldn't have mentioned the name in the first place if y'all didn't start the shit talking. :)

As well as the "power struggles" for lack of a better term.

Of which too many of us, myself include, became involved with or within.

The changes that John instituted seem to have been of great help in
making this board a bit more civil.

Why do you think Gamma Phi shot itself in the foot by not offering her a bid? I don't think our chapter at UCSC has fallen apart since then. They can't offer a bid to EVERY girl that wants in. I'm sure other women on this board believe in their own org's right to selective membership, too.

In fact, her rejection from Gamma Phi might have been responsible for Kappa Kappa Gamma now being on that campus. After all, I don't think Gamma Phi liked being the only NPC on campus, and since there apparently was more demand from women than what one sorority could acommodate, the school opened itself up to a second NPC.

The whole thread is active; so why this post?
And given the round of current postings, perhaps I spoke too early.:(
Or too late.:)
And perhaps one needs to review the GC TOS page as well.

Are y'all saying that Gamma Phi Beta missed the boat on a good girl? I have a friend who is pursuing AI, I'l be sure and warn her.

And how is that relevant to this conversation?

And while I don't doubt for a second that Corina's a great person, I don't think it's fair to the Gamma Phis to make comments like "they really shot themselves in the foot by not offering her a bid" or "I still carry a vague grudge against that NPC group that didn't offer her a bid during rush!" because you only got to witness rush through HER point of view. Come on now.

The Gamma Phis at UCSC obviously had a reason for not offering her a bid (known only to them) and I just wish that the old timers would respect that and remember that instead of leaving comments about that group just because you miss that girl.

If Gamma Phi had extended her that bid, there wouldn't have NBO. Even though NBO doesn't exist anymore, we still have Corina's great thread about her long journey.

Things happen for a reason. Just sayin'.

Got to agree with OTW on this one. Some of the comments are a bit flabergasting to me.

You're either completely clueless about the recruitment process or you're being sarcastic. Are you even IN a NPC sorority?

EVERY sorority turns down great women every year in recruitment. There are always way more good girls out there than what we can take in.

I don't think she's in any sorority and I doubt she even has a friend going through the AI process. I think that she used to be "KDLady00" and she lied about being a Kappa Delta. :o

It isn't at all. Just the crazy ramblings of Brandi Rae, the banned KD perp once known as kdlady00. She's never been an initiated member of any sorority (other than in her own mind.) I sure hope for Gamma Phi Beta's sake that "friend" of Brandi's seeking AI is not actually Brandi herself.

I guess if we were really curious, we could get LucyKKG to explain the origins of Alpha Sigma Delta. She's a member of the chapter in question, right?

I'm actually wondering if any of the NBO girls (a freshman or sophomore) stuck around at UCSC long enough to get hooked up into ASD/KKG.

.....Kelly :)
