This software I have to work with has more bugs than an ant farm. And why am I the one who ends up finding them all? There are plenty of other people using the same software, but none of them have reported any bugs. That means I'm the one who gets to work with the help desk, which I think is somewhere in India, or possibly Mars. Which keeps me from my other work, which in turn makes me look less productive. Oy...

I hope you start feeling better, Lady Pi Phi! And Cluey... I'm with you there. I'm stuck at work for a few more hours, until I take this superhuge test that I'm not looking forward to at all. I hate Calculus!

My chest is still bothering me.
I feeling like puking. It was fine for a bit and now it's hurting again.
I don't know if I'm having an anxiety attack or it something else.

decadence 06-18-2004 02:31 PM

Probably indigestion. OR, a pulled muscle? In which case indigestion tablets or some , I dunno Ralgex sprayed on it or ibuleve gel would help.

Cardic arrest is incredibly unlikely (your arm isn't hurting etc and the chest pain would be more than bothering you).

If it gets worse have it looked at.

Not that I have any medical training whatsoever. I did while still @ high school work in a vet's for 2 weeks though; but that doesn't count.

Lady Pi Phi 06-18-2004 02:35 PM

I doubt it's indigestion because it's been hurting since morning, before I had anything to eat.

it's definitly not cardiac arrest, because I have no shooting pains in my arms, and it's on the wrong side of my chest.

I have no trouble breathing, and it doesn't hurt to take deep breathes. It's weird.

It could be a muscle spasm. Maybe it's the way I am sitting at my desk.

do you have asthma? could be an asthma attack--that's how mine are, severe chest pains, not wheezing.

Lady Pi Phi 06-18-2004 02:44 PM

No I don't have asthma. But I am a smoker. However, I'm not finding it hard to breath. I can take really deep breathes and it doesn't hurt at all.

I'm trying to quit smoking. I'm not a heavy smoker to begin with.
About a pack a week.

If it doesn't clear up by sunday or gets worse then I'll go see my doctor.

I've had weird chest pains like that. Only mine hurt when I DO take deep breaths. It's usually a sharp pain... but it only last for a minute or so. It's feels like a huge charlie horse in my chest... generally after or during a meal.

However, maybe it's just a muscle pain for you. However, I would get it checked out. I mentioned to a doctor that I had developed a bad cold and it felt like someone was sitting on my chest... but that was because I was sick. (Of course I got the phone calls from cardiologists wondering if I had angina... no no no...)

How is your health otherwise?

Lady Pi Phi 06-18-2004 02:49 PM

My health isn't all that great. Which is why I don't want to go to the doctor because she'll yell at me. I know what's she's going to say, my problem is I don't take her advice. I do need to quit smoking too, but I don't think that's what's causing my pain.
It could be an anxiety attack.
But like I said, if it doesn't clear up by sunday then I will go see my doctor.

My complaint: my landlord sucks.

She got the toilet fixed in the apt downstairs like 3 days ago because she is in the process of rerenting it (the toilet has been broken for 6 months and she never did anything with it). ANYWAY, the toilet is now sitting on our front porch with crap still in it!!!!!!! It is the most digusting thing EVER. Plus, the roaches are bad in Georgia enough without another place for them to hide. All of us in the house refuse to move the damn thing. ICK

decadence 06-18-2004 04:07 PM

 If it was me and it was left she'd be getting a note or call to say if SHE didn't move it within 24/48 hrs then I would move it. Right to her doorstep.

If I was being nice I might just threaten to report her to the Public Health dept. or whatever but either way she'd be moving it. :D

WCUgirl 06-18-2004 04:13 PM

I am getting so angry at this FREAKING power point presentation. WHY WON'T IT WORK PROPERLY? Just do what I tell you to!!!!

I have that sharp pain in the chest when i take deep breaths every once in awhile.....it sucks. Feels like someone is stabbing me in the lung.

swissmiss04 06-18-2004 06:28 PM

LPP, sounds like you have some minor chest wall inflammation, possibly due to smoking, allergies, illness, etc. For the next couple days take a double dose of ibuprofen or naproxen sodium and see how that does. If it doesn't work, get thee to a doctor. I struggled w/ horrible chest wall pain for months and the only thing that would temporarily knock it out is prescription strength Motrin. Do you have a fever??

Rudey 06-18-2004 06:30 PM

haha I love when people who aren't doctors give out medical advice.
