Ok well the reason that site carries those leggings is because they are quickly becoming the "sorority uniform" for fall and winter on many, many campuses, especially in Texas. Summer and Spring: Nike shorts and T-shrits with letters. Fall and Winter: funky leggings and T-shirts with letters. Sigh. Such is life.

OK, I would TOTALLY wear all those leggings....

IF I had my college body
With a giant black t-shirt or sweater fully covering my butt
And with flats or black Beatle boots - definitely not heels!!! Skanky!!
In other words, 80s style.

The thing I can't get with is the headbands like "Pink Pewter" girl is wearing. Oh and the flower wreath/tiara things. I thought this was just something the magazines were trying to make happen, but I saw an actual human wearing one last night, so I guess people are biting. Eeek.

Tiaras? Tiaras are coming into style? Does this mean that I can wear one on a night other than New Year's Eve?

I think she's talking the flower child type head band thingy...but, for a princess, a tiara is never out of style...

Griffins&Quills 08-17-2014 06:53 PM

Flower crowns are all over for bid day these days

AnchorAlumna 08-17-2014 07:06 PM

Dahlings, tiaras nevah go out of style!

Titchou 08-17-2014 07:49 PM

Absolutely! I have my collection on the center top shelf of my study bookcase!

Right next to your emergency pearls for when you have to clutch something in a hurry! :D

But speaking as a 20-year-old who's fairly fashion-conscious, I think the heels and leggings looks dumb together. I don't see anyone around Clemson wearing patterned leggings because A) they only look good on girls who have little tiny chicken legs or model legs and B) it is too damn hot right now for leggings. During the winter girls really only wear black leggings or black exercise leggings with colored accents! Some of those other clothes on that site were cute, though.

Oh Lord! I didn't post it because of the leggings. Lol! I don't like patterned leggings and pineapple is correct leggings are everywhere. Late fall and winter driving down University Ave. in Tuscaloosa and about half of the girls you see going to class are wearing them. I mostly meant the really cute tops and dress. I did like the little lace shorts as well.

Moved my DD in yesterday. Glad that's over. It had to be the hottest day of the year. Every girl on her floor is so cute. That coupled with a great roommate helps me know that this is going to be a great experience for all of us. 23 days until recruitment. I've got my mad dog 20/20 ready.

The mad dog reference has me rolling.

My Gamma Chi DD met with her PNM group for the first time today. They changed it up a bit from last year. I'm not sure about the details, but it seems that 1) instead of being grouped by dorm floor, it seems to be a more random allocation, and 2) instead of a group of 40-50 girls being assigned to a group of 2-3 GCs, each GC has about 15 girls for whom she is directly responsible.

Sounds like a move to give more support to the PNMs which is always a good thing.

Maybe her Gamma Chi has better things to do than meet with PNM's who skip the meetings?
