Vito, those are really good points, but do you think alternate universes are really possible? I was just saying that I don't believe aliens are visiting Earth via "speed". A wormhole is a possibility. I know this is going to sound kind of crazy, but I dunno. I mean, no matter how we move an object in space, it would have to move in three dimensions, based on common sense.. "length, width, and height coordinates. If you think about it, with these three numbers, we can actually locate pretty much any object in the universe. But a wormhole, would be some kind of fourth dimension. What I'm saying is nowhere in our universe (that we can see) do we see objects suddenly disappearing or drifting off into another universe. I'm not saying that what you're saying isn't possible, it's just that to me, if something like this exist at all, it would have to be smaller than an atom. Warp drive seems like it could be a possibility if we use quantum theory. But I don't see the possibility if we use Einstein's theory of special relativity, which is based on speed vs mass.

Actually a wormhole wouldn't be another direction, it is just the 4 dimensions we know being twisted out of shape. Also the work drive concept actually does obey relativity because the object itself isn't moving, but space time itself.

Well, it could be a 4th dimension, but at the same time it could also be another direction, too. Ya know what I mean? I mean, why wouldn't it be? What about through rotating black holes? That's the only time things seem to disappear in space (that we know of). Like I was saying earlier, nowhere in space that we can see, do things just disappear. How do we know that at the center of a rotating black hole there isn't some kind of tunnel that connects space-time to another universe or another point in our universe? I mean, travelling through a stationary black hole would be fatal, but rotating black holes have a ringlike singularity, so that it might be possible to pass through the ring onto the other side. I mean, think about it. A black hole is not a stagnant thing, it moves in time, which kind of ties into what you're saying about space time itself. In fact black holes drag space time and space with it similar to the way a drain hole drags sewage down into itself. The sewage is "moving" somewhere. Right? The way I picture a wormhole/black hole is, I picture them as a tube of rubber with two rims, one rim in our universe, and the other in a parallel universe. The lines running down the tube correspond to the distance from the center of the hole. The lines forming circles around the throat/tunnel of the tube correspond to different times. So, a circle near the opening rim corresponds to early time, and the circle around the throat/tunnel corresponds to a later time, or another part of the universe that could be millions of light years away through ordinary travel. It's just that as an object approaches the hole, the tube begins to stretch as if the two rims were being pulled apart. Ya know what I mean? It's just that not only are space and time being dragged into the hole, but the object is also being dragged through the hole, so actually, it would also be moving in another direction. Where it ends up, I don't see how anyone would know. That includes aliens. I mean, it's all specualtion pretty much.

Oh, and my Geek random for today is, I can't wait until Mr. gets here, because I just bought our movie tickets online. We're going to see the 11:45 late showing of Skyline, tonight. I'm SO exicted! :)

Ya know, I am SO done with ET movies. Skyline was so dumb. I mean, when are they going to get it right? The writers didn't even explain why the aliens were here. I wish they would get an astrophysicist to help with a movie like that. It's just that physics is everything. For aliens to be that big, they would have to be coming from a big planet. And if they want to make the aliens "appear" to be evil, the writers should hire a veterinarian to help with that.:):cool: Just by the way these aliens looked, I knew right from the start that the story writers didn't have an understanding of the scale law. I don't think there will ever be a really good ET movie where they invade Earth. I guess I'm just always disappointed because as a child, I've always been into and wondered would it be possible to build starships that could travel faster than the speed of light, to transport our bodies instantly through outer space, etc. Since I was a little girl, I've always been fascinated my these things. Like a lot of physicists and science geeks, when I was growing up, I was mesmerized by the possibility of time travel, ray guns, force fields, parallel universes and the like. It's just that anything science fiction was all a gigantic playground for my imagination. So, I think I'll just stick with Steven Spielberg ET movies. His are the closest things to something decent and believable. Skyline sucked.:mad:

So...I'm basically running on fumes right now. I got Assassin's Creed:Brotherhood at midnight; didn't get to bed until freaking 3 AM. I didn't touch the story, as I'm still playing AC1 and AC2, and just did the online multiplayer.

It. Freaking. ROCKS! I don't play much online but I see me putting countless hours into this. I only played one online mode but it was good times. You literally have to stay on your toes or you will be easily killed...frequently.

To anyone that gets it I have this tip...stay off the rooftops unless its necessary. I was easily taken out the first time I went up there. After that I just went up if I had to.

I love AC: Brotherhood, but I'm annoyed with the War Machine Missions...I'm not that dexterous and I seriously annoyed...but other than that...oh god, I loving it

I saw the screenshots. It's still not the same when NASCAR was available by EA sports. I like racing a full, 36 race season, with full laps. I don't think GT5 will be able to offer that. Plus, I've always thought Microsoft was always one step ahead of Sony with the XBox. I also think Forza Motorsport has always been one step ahead of Gran Turismo. I'm sticking with the XBox.

Speaking of games. I bought the add on to Forza Motorsport 3. As soon as I get back to Michigan, I'm going to download them, then I'll have all 500 cars.

The add on has the 458 Italia on it, and the Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera, too. Those are two of my favorite cars.
