:( thinking about the entire Simmons family. I love watching that show because of how close they are.

It is heartbreaking that this was overlooked, especially since Justine is 41 and any first pregnancy over 41 is monitored like crazy. :( :( :(

I thought of Jerry Springer when I heard the man who is tired of the reality show. For sure got Janet, Jermaine and Marah Carey. Marah maybe able to sing but she sure can't dance or perform live IMO.

Many people are saying that they only got one ultra, and that would have been too early to tell. I got three (and I thought that was standard), and I would have thought Run would have top OBs that would insist on three, and top insurance that would pay for 3.

Do they (The Simmons) have health insurance? It's something to think about, even with all the millions they have. I hope they do have coverage, but you never know. :(

I would expect BET to show something like this. I think MTV has more taste than that. When they had the special on Brandy, there weren't even in the acutally delivery room.

UB #1: Maybe Emmett or Mario Lopez?

UB #2: If Mimi doesn't want to work with Janet, that's her business. But JD shouldn't let that ruin their relationship. Besides, LA Reid had a lot to do with Mimi's comeback, which Janet doesn't have right now.

SoCalGirl 09-27-2006 08:40 PM

If Mtv addresses it at all I'm going to trust that they'll handle it in the most sensitive way that they can.

UB#1: I think it's too obvious to go with Dancing With the Stars. Since it said the celebrity could not be voted off I'd guess a celebrity judge. Like maybe "The Hoff". :p

UB#2: I wouldn't consider Janet "a non singer". Has Beyonce' refused to work with anyone that JayZ helped out?

Neosoulchild 09-27-2006 08:53 PM

I think the first one is Jerry Springer on Dancing With the Stars. Last week he even shook his head no when the hostess said to call and vote for him.

Hasn't the 2nd one already been discussed?

The weight issue involving Janet Jackson continues. What made her gain and lose close to 70 pounds? The producers of the movie Tennessee want Janet to stop telling people she gained weight for their movie. They claim the part did not call for the actress/singer to gain weight. The role is now going to Mariah Carey. The producers want Janet to reveal she gained weight due to stress (the wardrobe malfunction, poor sales of her last CD Damita Jo, family crisis with brother Michael’s trial, being the breadwinner for the entire Jackson family and stories of a hidden child). They say just stop blaming them!

I again with them. Janet has gain large amounts of weight before and it is usually during her time off. I don't know why she feels a need to lie about it. I would however love to know how she losses massive amounts of weight in such short periods of time. It's amazing how she does it.

This wasn't her first pregnancy. The two younger boys are hers biologically. Condolences to the Simmons family.:(

I would. Especially compared to Mariah and seeing her on Oprah on Monday. I've never been a big Janet fan. I do like the Control album and some of her songs. But this new album, thumbs down!!

You would think so but after the BET acquisition several years ago that made Bob Johnson a millionaire, MTV and BET are now owned by the same company. Ya never know...

I know we all already know what happened but this contains a statement from Rev Run:

Rev. Run's daughter dies at birth

Associated Press

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. - A daughter born to rap pioneer Joseph "Rev. Run" Simmons and his wife, Justine, died shortly after delivery last week, an MTV spokesman said Wednesday.

Simmons issued a statement through the network, which airs his reality show, "Run's House," saying his wife "is doing fine." He thanked his supporters for their prayers and condolences.

"On Sept. 26, 2006, Victoria Anne Simmons for some unknown reason chose to come early and unfortunately did not survive," his statement said. "We must accept whatever is there and once you accept unconditionally, then everything is beautiful. Every pain has a purifying effect. So whatever comes your way, just be thankful. We see life in death and believe in the celebration of life in death."

The baby was delivered at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, according to MTV spokesman Graham James.

Simmons, brother of hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons, has five children. He was a founding member of pioneering rap group Run-DMC.
