Let me know if you want tis walk/jog DVD thta I burned for Carla. It's easy and it's 30 mins that you can do in your own house if you aren't able to get out and do any walking.
I do it on Sunday instead of going to the gym along with a tae bo tape.

Way to Go!!!

:) :) :)

Yea Ideal08!!!!!!!!!!!!! Way to go Soror!!!!!!!!!:o :o :o

I know you feel great! WW and just doing what they do is a surefire way to get the job done.

I have dropped 16 lbs the last 10 weeks and can put most of my size 10's back on!!!! I have about 12-15 lbs to go, to get to the brickhouse size 8, I once knew!!

Congrats again!!

Kim, I would LOVE the dvd!!! Walking outside is my favorite, but it's gettin' too hot out. I joined the city rec so I could have a place to walk if it rains, but indoor walking is SO different from outdoor. It's so... FLAT. I've gotten used to the hills in Cinci and like how they intensify my workout. I'm SO bored when I walk on the indoor track; it makes the time drag. I'd rather stay home and use a dvd!!!

Soror Wonderful, girl, thanks for the congrats! :) I do feel great, but I felt down this week because I gained 2.4lbs. I stayed within my points, but I didn't exercise at all. I guess I'm not one of the people who can just drop weight by changing her eating habits. I was so sad I went to Burger King and got 8 chicken tenders and a 16oz cherry slushie. I THOROUGHLY enjoyed it. I wrote it down. And I kept myself from going to get swiss cake rolls and cookies. I was so ticked cuz I wanted to binge SO bad last week and didn't and then I STILL gained weight. I was just pissed. :( I'm over it now. I can't be mad at nobody but me cuz I was bein' lazy. So now I know what I gotta do.

I just feel like my weight will never start with a "1".:( But I am NOT giving up.

*sigh* I need to blog about this. I'm stressed, I have a 4-day weekend, and I'm goin' out on Sunday. I'ma wanna DRANK, y'all hear me? And I don't waste points on alcohol (I've had 28oz of wine TOTAL in the last 11 weeks). But I might spend all my flex points on drinks this Sunday.

Y'all pray I don't lose control. My period starts next week and I'm hungry and I'm stressed and I just honestly wanna eat everything.

One thing is for SURE: I AM NOT GAINING THIS WEIGHT BACK!!!!!!!!! I'm still 15lbs down... I just have to keep going. Just keep going, Monique...

Ideal you WILL get there!!! It's all in the mind.... I too am a Weight Watchers fan! Sometimes you can do EVERYTHING seemingly right and not lose the weight that week. Sometimes the weight loss lags behind and the following week it will fall off. For example, 2 weeks ago I gained a pound but then last week I lost 3 pounds (go figure!)...

So far I've lost 11.8 pounds with weight watchers! 5lbs. to go before I reach my lifetime goal... And the best part about it is that I'm confident about this weight loss because doing weight watchers helps you to Keep the weight off!

Ideal, you've already made amazing progress... So go 'head and do the damn thing... You can Do it! You CAN do it!!! :)

kiml122 06-30-2006 07:39 PM

Yo Ideal keep your head up, and trust you have weeks where you may have done everything that you were suppose to do but still gained...don't trip and don't fall off the wagon, and please watch that drinking...that is something that I really gave up once I made the decison to loose weight and keep it off.
I do drink sometimes, but not very often...but on the real...keep it up doing what you are doing, and you will get to where you want to be with your weight. It's true what they that you didn't put it on over night, so you can't take it off over night...for real keep you head up and keep following WW cuz it does work, and for real you will get there...I know you will.:D

Check your PM

Ideal girl keep doing you becuasee its working think of how much better you look in your clothes how much looser they are, I could care less about the number on a scale, its how you feel and you said you feel great! So keep it up, imagine how you felt 10lbs ago, and the 5 lbs before that, you have made amazing progress!!:o

I had to go on a special diet due to health problems and medications and find it pretty easy to follow, but does anyone else have issues with increasing their exercise routine? I have a goal of hitting the gym four days a week, but sometimes it takes everything I have to make it over there to rock out with my cardio.

I was considering getting a personal trainer so I have someone to be "accountable" to other than myself, and maybe get some different motivation. I'd ask a friend but they can be kind of flaky (and there is no way in hell I am going to do Dance Dance Revolution as a form of exercise).

Thanks for the encouragement, ladies! I had a BAD weekend. BAD!!! I won't even rehash it here, you can read about it in my not-so-fantastic journey. I didn't weigh-in last night, but I'm gonna face the music today. 4:45. NOT looking forward to it. Still haven't exercised, but gonna start today. I have belly dancing class and I DON'T wanna go. But I'm goin.

*sigh* I hate that this is a lifelong journey. I want to be done with this already. And I JUST started.

One day at a time...

I understand exactly what you mean, Ideal!

Since my last post I have gotten extremely active. I walk in my neighborhood for 2.5 miles and I've been extremely conscience of what goes in my mouth. I wanted the 4th to pass before I joined Weight Watchers. I think I'm going that route...for the 100th time!

Stay encouraged ladies!

Don't beat yourself, Ideal. We all fall short sometimes. What matters is that you dust yourself off and get back in the game before you lose all control. You'll be fine!

I've decided to document my weight loss journey in a blog. Here's the link: RD's Weight Loss Journal

monique - I read your blog and I find your journey extremely inspiring! don't give up - you have made so much progress and it's unrealistic to be perfect 100% of the time.

congratulations on your weight loss and good luck :)

Thanks Ideal08 for posting. While I didn't get to read your blog I know if it's anything like your post it's as inspiring as these ladies say. I posted earlier about my significant weight loss and am still on that "lifestyle" journey as well. I'm so close to ONEderland but for about two months or so my scale has been stuck. I know its due to the monotony and regularity of my routine. I read about the whole "Diet Clock" concept in some book. (It basically says that you can only really seriously be on a diet for about 12 weeks and then your body gets stuck. This book suggested that you after these 12 weeks you focus not on continuous weight loss but rather working to maintain that weight and the lifestyles.) I think that's where I am. However I'm ready to get off. And I didn't see how long it said to wait before you go back. I know where my pitfalls lie and I have some idea of what to do. This thread is truly inspiring. Ladies, let's DO IT!!

Checking in ...

I lost 6.6 lbs this week for a total of 74 on WW (one more for the star!) and 86 total.

I went shopping this weekend ... I bought 18s and 20s for the first time in about 15 years! I even bought some things from Old Navy! Wow!

I will be creating a web site very soon. Will keep everyone posted.
