I remember wishinhopin's thread from waaaay back and I really admired her tenacity. In fact, I still carry a vague grudge against that NPC group that didn't offer her a bid during rush! lol She was very passionate, hard-working and focused and really would have been an asset to the group. (I know people always say that, but this time it's true!)

I haven't been around long and I don't think he/she (I'm unsure which it is) is actually "gone"...but I like the posts from Sheetcake.

I don't know why you guys are saying "that NPC group" when you could just say "GAMMA PHI BETA" -- because we all know Gamma Phi Beta was the only NPC there until KKG came along. :rolleyes:

And while I don't doubt for a second that Corina's a great person, I don't think it's fair to the Gamma Phis to make comments like "they really shot themselves in the foot by not offering her a bid" or "I still carry a vague grudge against that NPC group that didn't offer her a bid during rush!" because you only got to witness rush through HER point of view. Come on now.

The Gamma Phis at UCSC obviously had a reason for not offering her a bid (known only to them) and I just wish that the old timers would respect that and remember that instead of leaving comments about that group just because you miss that girl.

If Gamma Phi had extended her that bid, there wouldn't have NBO. Even though NBO doesn't exist anymore, we still have Corina's great thread about her long journey.

I started re-reading the thread & immediately edited my post - because I would NOT have mentioned the name, especially had I remembered that there was only one NPC group at the time. For that matter, had the NPC group been ADPi in this scenario, I would probably still thought that that chapter shot themselves in the foot by not offering a bid to Corinna.
