If you behave in person like you are in this thread, I can't imagine anyone being truly interested in extending you a bid.

If you are depressed, truly (which does not mean avoiding class because you don't like the way you look), then you go to a doctor just like you would if you had diabetes, for instance. And if you don't help yourself you certainly have no right to expect sympathy or help from others.

i understand that. but it was just the choice i decided to make. and i did go to a doctor and help myself. not asking for sympathy. just understanding.

Sorry if this has been said, but I don't feel like reading through 22 pages of this.

Call the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life and speak to someone about it. If they do let you rush as a grade exception, expect heavy cuts anyways because you would definitely be considered a grade risk. I would not recommend telling anyone (OFSL or the girls rushing you) that you blame your bad grades on acne. While it could very well be the case, it's a concept that's a little difficult to explain without sounding a little crazy.

Study hard. Turn off the TV and tell your roommate to shut up. Laptop and food can be study aides if you discipline yourself, nut up and do the work. Reward every half hour (or however long is your intense attention span) of hard work with a ten minute laptop/food break. Or, find a quite corner of the library and stick to it. To me, the appeal of the library is that it's quiet and I can't socialize with people while trying to study (for the most part, if I don't want to). But, I'm not a better social life = better grades person. I find a balance and wouldn't really say the two have any correlation at all.

Good luck.

No, that's fine. You don't have to. There is a member on here from Bloomsburg. I'm not sure about the other schools. Okay, then here is my question: Are you looking at a "local" sorority, a "service" sorority (Gamma Sigma Sigma/ Omega Phi Alpha), or a "musical" sorority (Sigma Alpha Iota/ Tau Beta Sigma)? At least if you narrow that down, that also helps people to give you information.

A local sorority is different from a national "service" sorority and that is different from a musical sorority.

Bloomsburg (5 locals) - Theta Tau Omega, Delta Epsilon Beta, Chi Sigma Rho, Chi Theta Pi, and Phi Iota Chi
East Stroudsburg (1 local) - Lambda Iota
Millersville (2 locals) - Chi Alpha Tau and Sigma Phi Delta

Your posts indicate that your behavior is unlikely to change. For instance, your insistence that you will continue to let your social life and other trivial matters effect your grades is an indicator that a sorority is not for you.

In that case why are you behaving like such an assclown, then complaining about the reactions you get? Like I said before, you are either amusing yourself by making up various lies in an attempt to have social contact with strangers on the internet (which is not normal) or you are truly immature to an unusual degree (which is not normal). Either way I highly suggest someone that can help you learn how to interact socially in the real world as well as help you realize how to begin to behave like an adult.

Yes.

Bloom:
I thought that Theta Tau Omega at Bloom was disbanded by the school. I have two friends that are alums.
Chi Upsilon Sigma is a National Latina sorority

It would be a SUPER good idea to be done with this whole make-up-stories-on-the-internet-for-attention thing, IMO.

Just sayin'.
