I know the SAE House Mom at Ole Miss has a golf cart so she can hop around campus.

That golf cart is at National Headquarters in Peachtree City, GA, not the Auburn chapter. Peachtree City is like golf cart heaven; everyone who lives there owns one and drives it around town. This one has got to be the pinkest, though, and it's what every Phi Mu who visits seems to pose beside!

southernbelleQT 02-08-2008 07:38 PM

the golf cart belongs to their national hq. they (auburn phi mu's) dont have one! lol

and no that is not ashley tisdale lol...but i can see the resemblance (sp?)

Hmmm no offense to the Auburn Phi Mus, but those girls in the middle picture look like they hit the fake tanning salon a *little* too often :o

BabyPiNK_FL 02-10-2008 11:28 PM

They don't look that orange to me. That is one of our many Barbie chapters, and boy they look adorable.

I hate looking at this thread at work. I always end up laughing and then everyone around me knows I'm not working :(

This HAS to be the funniest thing I have ever seen! I AM an Auburn Phi Mu and heard about this blog and had to check if it was for real! And it is! Im resposible for putting the website together so I can assure you, Ashley Tisdale is not a member of our chapter (Sadly bc that would be a GREAT way to rush girls!) As for the fake tanning, one of them is from the beach so I can assure you its natural.

We may be known as a Barbie chapter, but I will take that as a compliment :)

YOU might think so. Not everyone thinks highly of Ms. Rhinoplasty.

I don't know: the kids these days love High School Musical. I don't get it and it makes me feel about 137 years old.

And to tell you the truth, I think AUBarbie was just being kind and joking; Ashley Tisdale probably wouldn't get a bid at Auburn Phi Mu. While the girls may look like Barbies, my experience with the couple I've known is that they have outstanding, non-bimbo like character. I can't say the same about what I've learned from Perez Hilton about Ms. Rhinoplasty, as you poetically put it.

I don't get HSM either. I tried, but I just can't.

Speaking from experience with my nieces -- my 13 year old just can't get enough of HSM. She has HSM stuff everywhere. Her 16 year old sister? Hates it. Don't know if that's how it is everywhere (younger teen vs. older teen).

I don't know what it is about this thread that makes me ill. It's probably the fake tans and the fact that I can't stand anything plastic.

Yeah, I always believe it's natural too. Right down to finding my friend with the "boat tan" had a tanning bed in her house.

I'm sorry, typically only people who gush over tanning are others that tan. It's fake, like false eyelashes and fake friends. "It looks fab" = "you will need Botox sooner than I". You may love it now, but it will catch up with you sooner, rather than later.

I was a lifeguard for years, and always had a deep tan. Luckily, I was smart enough to stop with the rays in my 20s. Many friends my age and younger have had "work" done on their faces already. My "work" comes in the form of a $20 wide-brimmed hat and lots of sunscreen.

Here's to natural, Miss Barbie!!!

AU"barbie"PhiMu 02-27-2008 08:19 PM

Wow, this is the last thing I am going to say about phi mu's at auburn being barbies. I was joking before about Ashley Tisdale. I actualy had no clue who she was until someone told me. And about the tanning, there are plenty of people with tans in this world, some of them are fake and some are real. I am all about natural, and glad that you wear sunscreen Benzgirl. But anyways, the girls in the picture are beautiful and that really has nothing to do with how tan they are or aren't.
People have taken what I said way to literally. It was only a joke.. I mean really, what are you going to say when people say you look like a barbie? Get mad?... it's not worth that. I was only kidding about tanning and being barbies. Our chapter is full of sweet girls that look nothing like barbies, don't have a tan, and know nothing about ashley tisdale. Haha, Thank you UGAalum for understanding what I was trying to do!

I'd take it as a compliment if someone said I didn't look like a Barbie, but that's just me. If it makes you happy keep on keepin' on. I'm secure in my appearance so I find compliments about my other qualities, attributes and achievements more important than what is physically obvious (my intimidating hotenss!). I find this thread to be ridiculous, and it was an awesome juxtaposition to the thread in the recruitment forum about full length photos for Texas recs.

I don't know who Ashley Tisdale is either.

Ouch! Not like a look like a Barbie, but what a mean stereotype!
