Sangaya is still freaking there? |

Sad but true. Scary isn't it? |

I don't know what the big deal with Sanjaya is. Sundace was worse, and I didn't see people making snide comments about his looks or voice then. Chris Sligh was also bad. He still made it to the top 10. Go figure. I'm also not a fan of Haley. She should be going home next week.
I'm loving Chris Richardson. If I voted for any contestant, I would vote for him. |

The issue isn't that Sanjaya is unnatractive (though some of us do think he's creepy looking), it's that he doesn't sing well. He should be auditioning for his high school musical, not be on American Idol. He has a decent voice, but it doesn't compare to many of the people who have already been voted off. |

I don't know anything about Chris's vocal background. I'm just going by what I hear. He's alright. He was just not that great. I believe Simon said the same thing as well. If I remember correctly, though, the judges thought Sanjaya had potential to be American Idol. They picked him for the top 20 out of thousands of people. I'm pretty sure they weren't thinking "high school musical" then. Otherwise, he would not have made it past hollywood week. I guess I'm just not understanding how everyone got on the let's hate on Sanjaya for the way America votes. I guess I feel kinda bad for him. Some of these comments are irrelevant to his vocal/stage performance i.e. "creepy" "weird" "freak" "making me sick." |

One has to wonder what Chris and Blake were thinking when they found out that they were grouped with Sanjaya?
Was it: "Holy shit -- we're in the Bottom 3 because Sanjaya's finally getting the boot tonight!" or "Freaking A, we're saved because Sanjaya's got the teenyboppers' vote!" |

And while they did put Sanjaya through to the top 24, since his very first round there they have said he wasn't strong enough to continue - but America keeps getting screwing up the vote. I also agree with Jen - I think he knows he should be going home, but that he's going to keep getting to stay and he's gotten a bit smug about it. Meanwhile, people like Stephanie and Gina, who want desperately to be there, are getting voted off. It's really turning people off I think (except the crazies who keep voting for him, obviously!!). |

I'm now thinking that it's the producers trying to get ratings:confused:

I'm getting memories of John Stevens and how long he was able to stay in competition because of these kids. |

I'm sure Sanjaya is getting votes from some teenage girls, but he's also getting votes from people who are tired of American Idol dictating everything on TV. The other networks won't schedule any of their priority shows against it, and since AI airs two, sometimes three, nights a week for MONTHS, good shows get pitted against each other on the remaining nights, with the ratings loser getting cancelled. I HATE that almost all of the shows I watch regularly have been moved over the past several years because of American Idol.

I kinda figured Gina was going home this week. Just doesn't seem fair... Pretty soon they're going to be left with 5 spectaculars and one, "Well, your hair sure is interesting..."
I can't decide if I'm a bigger Melinda fan or Jordin fan. |

NExt Wednesday will be Blake Lewis Day, in the Seattle suburb of Bothell, where he's from.
No word yet on a Sanjaya day - he's from another suburb, Federal Way, but I think he used to live in Bothell?? |

Why did Gina have to go?! I really liked her and plus she's a Chicago girl and I always root for the Chicago contestants!! :) I am frustrated that Sanjaya isn't gone, but what frustrates me more is that he wasn't even in the BOTTOME THREE!!
