I heard on the radio that Dave Chappelle was in a mental hospital. Can anyone confirm that ? Did anyone else hear that news?

Whitney Out of Rehab
 

Access Hollywood has learned that embattled pop diva Whitney Houston will return to the studio in ten days under mentor Clive Davis's supervision.

Davis told Access Hollywood that Whitney, 41, has left rehabilitation and will now complete the album she began earlier with the veteran music mogul.

Whitney entered a drug rehabilitation center in March. She was also hospitalized in March of 2004.

The singer, a multiple Grammy-winner, is best known for her rendition of "I Will Always Love You" and her role in the 1992 film "The Bodyguard." Houston and R&B singer Bobby Brown have been married since 1992 and have an 12-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina.

The couple live near Alpharetta, a suburb north of Atlanta

Whitney Houston will be heading back into the studio in the next few days to finish work on her long awaited album. She is finished with her rehab, and she will be re-teaming with her mentor, Clive Davis. He is overseeing the project, and he will be watching over her.

Dave Chappelle speaks! The popular comedian says he is not crazy, he is not smoking crack and he is not in a mental institution. In an exclusive interview with Time magazine, Chappelle talks about the collapse of his popular Comedy Central show, and what made him leave the country and take off for Africa. Chappelle says he was stressed out, and he went to South Africa for a spiritual retreat. He was not happy with the direction of the show, and he felt he had to get away from everybody to hear his own voice. He even left behind his wife and two kids in Ohio. In the interview, he admitted he saw a psychiatrist, but he was not in a mental institution. There will not be a Chappelle's Show this year, but there may be one in 2006. Chappelle was coy about his return, but he did state he did not spend any of the money given to him in his $50 million contract.

The Fox network has renewed The Bernie Mac Show for another season. There was a lot of doubt about the future of the show, which was held up last year due to Bernie's illness with a lung ailment. Bernie is currently on steroids, and he has gained a lot of weight. In a shocking move by ABC, they have decided not to renew the Damon Wayans family comedy, My Wife And Kids. I can't believe this! This was a good family comedy! I'm sure the cast of the show is in shock. The show will now be seen in syndication starting this fall.

R Kelly is back! R Kelly is taking R&B music to another level with his 5-song opera, Trapped in The Closet. The response has been incredible with the airings of parts one and two. The song is deep, and I can't wait to hear chapters 3, 4, and 5. R Kelly is the only person who could pull this song off. When you listen to it, it's absolutely riveting. You can actually picture the song in your mind. R Kelly is currently filming a short film that will be sold as a bonus DVD along with the CD. The CD, TP3-Reloaded, will be released July 5th. A video for part one will air on BET and MTV on May 30th.

Are there more disgruntled American Idol Contestants? Yes! Corey Clark has opened a can of worms with his accusations of an alleged affair with Idol Judge Paula Abdul. Now, other ex-contestants are telling their stories. There are stories of contestants who slept with the show's bosses and received preferential treatment. There has been talk about vote rigging and secret gifts. Former Idols Trenyce and Kimberly Locke have been outed as two of the contestants who were sleeping with producers or other contestants. :eek:Sounds like that Idol mansion was pretty hot, even though you have to question of the motives of the other contestants who are spilling the beans. Are they trying to stretch their fifteen minutes of fame?

A nationwide search is on for the role of "Effie" for the movie version of Dreamgirls. The Broadway musical is being made into a movie, and the role of "Effie" is pivotal. Jennifer Holiday played the part on Broadway, and she became a star with her showstopper, And I Am Telling You. Who will play the role in the movie? Will it be a newcomer? Will it be my favorite, Kelly Price, or maybe ex American Idol Contestants Jennifer Hudson or Frenchie? Beyonce and Jamie Foxx have already signed on to star. Beyonce will play the Diana Ross character "Deena" and Jamie Foxx will play the Berry Gordy-based character. Dreamgirls was loosely based on the story of Diana Ross & The Supremes. Usher is still in talks to join the cast of the movie as well as Eddie Murphy. I hope Eddie signs on because he needs to show his dramatic side. He would be a great addition to the cast. Production starts in January with a release date slated for late 2006.

Tyler Perry has lined up the hunks for his next movie, Madea's Family Reunion. Filming starts in July for the movie starring Blair Underwood, Boris Kodjoe, and Henry Simmons. Actresses Lynn Whitfield and Jennifer Lewis will also be starring. Tyler Perry will be making his directorial debut, and he will be playing three roles, Madea, Brian and Uncle Joe. In Madea's Family Reunion, the family gets together for a funeral, a wedding and a family reunion all in the same weekend. The movie is scheduled to hit theatres next February.

Chris Tucker had to learn the hard way, it doesn't pay to speed! He had to pay a fine of seven thousand dollars after he was caught speeding. He was on his way to church in South Carolina from Georgia. He says he was in a hurry to make the services and he had no idea he was going that fast.

Alicia Keys was just one of the many honorees at Oprah Winfrey's Legend Bash over the weekend. "The Mighty O" rolled out the red carpet to honor 25 pioneering women in the African American community. Some of the honorees included Maya Angelou, Coretta Scott King, Diana Ross, Tina Turner, Ruby Dee, Roberta Flack, Leontyne Price and Gladys Knight. As Alicia made her way thru the press line, she confirmed that she will be starring in a movie based on the life of Lena Horne that Oprah will be producing.

On June 10th, it's The Honeymooners on the big screen with Cedric "The Entertainer." Cedric is playing the role of Ralph Kramden, made famous on TV by Jackie Gleason. Mike Epps also stars as Ed Norton, that role was originally played by Art Carney. Gabrielle Union will play Alice Kramden, Cedric's big screen wife, and Regina Hall will play Ed's wife, Trixie.

Halle Berry's ex, Actor Michael Ealy, is set to co-star in the movie November with Friends Star Courtney Cox. They will play lovers in the movie, which is coming out in the fall.

I can't reveal all yet….., but this former TV Actress and Choreographer is ready to check out of her marriage. She's married to a former NBA Player who can't stop cheating on her. He recently had a baby with his mistress, and she is finding it hard to forgive him! Hmmmmmmmmmmm! :eek:

She became famous on the 70's TV show, The Mod Squad, but she gave up her career for love when she married Quincy Jones. Peggy Lipton played "Julie" on the hip detective show. Peggy talks about her life in a new autobiography called, Breathing Out. In the book, she talks about childhood sexual abuse and past affairs with Paul McCartney, Elvis Presley and Sammy Davis Jr.

At the movies this week, it's the final chapter in the Star Wars saga, Revenge of the Sith. The movie stars Samuel L. Jackson, Ewan MacGregor, Natalie Portman, Hayden Christensen and James Earl Jones as the voice of "Darth Vadar."

Ashanti teams up with Queen Latifah for The Muppets Wizard of Oz, on the 20th on ABC.

Wayne Casey, aka "KC" of KC & The Sunshine Band, is doing better after falling off of a six-foot stage. "KC" was performing in new shoes when he took the plunge. He injured his knee and he had to have six stitches over his right eye. He is now resting comfortably at his Miami home.

Billy Dee Williams is still having problems with his arthritic hip. Even though he underwent surgery, he is still having problems walking. He recently had to bow out of the Broadway show, The Mambo Kings, because of his hip. Actor David Alan Grier, from In Living Color fame, will be replacing him.

Singer Vivian Green is sporting a new look and a new attitude. The new mommy of a young son, Jordan, is now sporting longer hair. She looks fabulous. Her new CD, Vivian, is coming out on June 28th, and she will be in concert with Frankie Beverly and Maze on June 27th at the Mann.

I can't wait for Vivian Green's new album. She is very talented and I was impressed by the first one.

Exactly how fast was Chris Tucker going that made his fine $7,000? That is a ridiculous amount for a speeding ticket. Even if you're going 50 over the limit, you usually don't pay more than a couple hundred.

I am loving R Kelly for his new song. The suspense is just hilarious. She's right when she says that no one else could have pulled this off.

I'm glad My Wife and Kids is going off the air.

I liked "My Wife and Kids" when I caught it. I thought it showed a positive side of "us".
