My syllabus was posted yesterday. The first week's "packet" will be posted by Monday at the latest but the prof said he may post it earlier. Consider me officially overwhelmed. What made me think this was a good idea? I am not only broke at the most expensive time of year for the kids but I am so busy already... I don't know if I can do it all. Something might have to give, the question is.. what? Can't stop working or being a parent. Don't want to stop volunteering for the sorority. Don't want to give up the new man. Don't want to give up my new position as Web Coordinator for the Boy Scout Troop but I plan on delegating, not doing everything with that. Can't stop cleaning the house, although the cleaning standards may need to be lowered a little. OMG!!!!!!!! I'm nuts.

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhh I'm working on applying to ten PhD programs and I'm still on my FIRST personal statement! Please tell me they get easier after this!

First week of readings is done. I have a two page paper to write and a minimum of three discussion board forum posts to do. The online lectures were only 25 minutes total (in the form of two voice over power points). I'll take that over sitting in class for 3-4 hours a week! Hopefully work won't be too crazy this week and I'll have some time to work on the paper while at work. The boss officially gave me permission to work on school work if things are slow at work. Problem is, things have been insanely busy at work lately, so I can't rely on that.

I just got the 3rd revision of the introduction of my thesis back... I got an "A," and can now proceed with the writing of the actual thesis! ( I am completing an MA in Humanities, through Cal State Dominguez Hills)

I'm still debating if I should even go to grad school and if so, I want to go to Howard University. Mass Communication & Media Studies.

I have one more year in this Masters program at La Verne but I guess I'm a glutton for punishment. I've started researching doctorate programs and I'm pretty sure that as soon as I graduate next December, I'll go back to school.

I plan on applying at a few schools though my first choice is the Claremont Colleges to get a PhD in Linguistics.
