Back again ya'll...things have been so crazy here this past semester and we only started January 12! I haven't posted in a while, but anyway...rush updates..here we go:

SAI:

We had rush last week. The girls are so awesome and amazing....the first night of rush I couldn't go because I had a class, but the second night we had a really laid back and casual night discussing history and drinking hot chocolate...we also played a few icebreaker games and were given Pan Pipes (the newsletter) to read and look over pamphlets and stuff about the organization.

The next night of rush we all went out to dinner (about 25 of us!) to a chinese buffet...it was sooooo good! I got to meet new sisters and other pnm's. They are all so sweet! After dinner, we went to a kareoke bar and had a total blast, we all got up and sang songs and acted totally wacky! It was awesome, I haven't had that much fun in a long time with a bunch of girls!! The next morning was a photo scavenger hunt and a mixer with some local alumnaewhere we were in groups of 4 or 5 and taking wild and crazy pictures and stuff, it was a great way to bond with the group i was with and have a great time! After the scavenger hunt, a few pnm's were on our way back to the dorms when a bunch of sisters driving along asked us if we wanted to join them for lunch, of course we agreed! Well after lunch, I went back to the dorms to change into something for the mixer.

At the mixer we met a few alums and snacked on some food and just talked and relaxed and stuff. Pictures from the morning's scavenger hunt came back and we were all looking at them and they were hilarious! It was really a lot of fun.

So now, I recieved an email that bids will be given out tonight from 7:30-9pm...and they go in a group and go to your room to extend you the bid....however, I have a class from 5:45pm-8:45pm tonight :-(, I've already notified the VP of recruitment and told a few sisters about it, so I have no idea what will happen now, if they come at all, when would they come? I hope I get a bid, I loved the girls and even the pnm's were awesome. I hope I hear soon!

Seriously though, while there's a chance they won't, SAI doesn't have total and quota, so they can give out as many bids as they wish. If they liked you, you'll probably get one. :)

Pam, I'm so glad you had fun with the Gamma Rho girls! Definitely keep us posted!

If they want to give you a bid, and they now know when (and why) you won't be home, they will get your bid to you you shouldn't have to worry about that. You are still going to be home for a portion of the time they stated they would be delivering bids.

I GOT MY BID TONIGHT!!!! I just got back (with a dozen Krispie Kreme donuts from my best friend) from celebrating!!! So excited! It was so ironic what happened! I had my class..but my professor let us out an hour early so I was back in my room at about 7:45 and they came to my room around 8pm and knocked on my room and totally scared me half to death! BUT there were like 10 of the sisters and they were all surrounding my door and I was like jumping up and down and they gave me my bid card and were like we would like to extend you a bid to join SAI and I was like YAYYAYYAY and I hugged everyone and it was awesome! Pinning is Sunday, I can't wait!! YEAH SAI!!!!!
