In my specific department? None. Not only that, I'm the only African-American here and have left the issue alone entirely, but I do wear a very pretty necklace with a charm that has the letters of my organization. Not a single soul has asked me about it and that's fine with me.

Throughout the other departments I've discovered that there are several of us! At least five Deltas spread throughout three different departments and we are definitely in contact with each other. Definitely nice to have some sorors here!

Seems kinda funny to me though...why hire Greeks but turn around and condemn them?

I know! It's definitely bizarre.

This school year, I was the only AKA in a sea of Deltas. At my previous school, there were six sorors, a few Deltas, one Zeta, and one SGRho...not many men representing greek organizations. We also were the only ones still active.

A new supervisor was recently transferred to my area at work..through talking about where he was from, college, etc. i found out he is a TKE. The first greek I've worked with.

Since I am in the Army I know very few other females that were part of a NPC. I have know a few guys...Sigma Chi, Pike, Lamda Chi, and a few others....however it seems like the NHPC is represented very well in the Army...just my thoughts...

I am an Army wife. I really don't know many active-duty women as GEN Alum has always been assigned to a Combat Arms unit, but many of my fellow spouses were NPC members. Base neighbors have been from Kappa, DDD, Theta, KD, ADPi, SK, and I'm sure many more. At Ft Knox, we had such a large group that we started an informal Panhellenic Alum Ass'n.

Other than myself, there is a coworker in my department who is an Alpha, and the firm administrator (controller/HR manager) who is a Kappa Delta. And a few years ago, we had an intern who was a Delta, and an ex-employee who pledged a local Greek org (Lambda Omicron Psi). But that was it.

I just found out today that the registrar at the school where I work was a Delta Zeta at MTSU :) Another lady there was a Kappa Delta at Auburn :)

Senusret I 08-29-2007 08:27 PM

One of my new coworkers is a Delta. We are the only Greeks.

WVU alpha phi 08-30-2007 12:07 PM

My boss, VP of HR is a Kappa Kappa Gamma.
