We do an annual lecture series which is great because the alumni get involved and come back for it, and we earn a lot of bonus points with the campus administration.

At Minnesota, we still allow Sweetheart Competitions (which I think are great)!
Once a year, a woman from each sorority runs to be XYZ fraternity's token woman of the year, and the men in turn run to be ABC sorority's token man of the year. Each of these competitions are philanthropy- and house participation-based, and last about a week (Panhel and IFC try not to schedule more than one a week). Since the event needs to raise money, there's usually a big benefit event associated with each week like-

I have friends in ADPi, Tri Delt, and KD there.

yea lol..its really cute..they do it in october for breast cancer month and everyone collects yoplait lids, zeta hosts a "best chest" contest, and everyone decorates greek village in pink..literally everything is pink!

we have mr. and mrs greek every year. I guess its kind of like a beauty pageant or something . But basically the hottest guy and hottest girl win every year and then get honored during Greek week in a parade type thing. Not really that spectacular, but people really do get into it and voting. Usually its not just about looks and the person has to do some type of talent, or I guesss the talent basically helps them.

I go to a fairly small school (less than 3,000 undergrads), but each of the six sororities and five fraternities take turns putting on a philanthropy week. Each group hosts a campus wide dinner on Monday, some sort of fun event like a beauty pageant, date night, or talent contest on Thursday, and an athletic competition on Saturday.

The trouble is, everyone participates in everyone else's events, which takes up a lot of time. We're actually trying to move away from this.

we do a greek week event where everyone puts on a talent show. last year my fraternity and I did a salsa show with a sorority. two of the girls in the sorority were amazing salsa dancers and it was really funny trying to teach our guys the moves.

I have to admit though we did a pretty good job at salsa!

we (pi phi) do an annual softball tournament called "angels in the outfield". it's always a HUGE success with the frats!
