So far the word is that Prefs will begin at 4. I'll be surprised if that doesn't change due to the severe weather we're going to get soon. Maybe the worst of the storm will be gone by the time Pref parties are supposed to stop.

I found out today that my gal had max invites for Philanthropy (11) and Skit (7) and is hopeful her top 3 came through for Pref. More to follow!

Heck, it's been pouring since about 3 AM. And it's still going....and going...I'm about to lose my freaking mind over it. It's almost 930 PM and it's just started in again. Oh, and we lost a big pine tree in the back yard. Luckily it fell away from the house, otherwise my kitchen would be a lake right now.

actually the pref parties start at 8:30 tomorrow morning
many of us pnms have to meet in our groups around 7: 30.

ohh, and we found out it was cancelled after we were already dressed and ready and in our groups! but i'm pretty sure most if not all, rho gams told the pnms their party schedule. and i'm very pleased with the three that i'll be attending ; )

I wonder if the chapters got to see their invite lists on Sat before Pref was rescheduled.

I cannot imagine getting all dressed up, evening gown, heels, hairdo, makeup, jewelry, etc. that early in the morning.

I am so not a morning person.

I'm imagining the whole scenario as well. I spoke to my daughter last night and it was all I could do to not tell her to go to bed to be sharp for today. They were up late telling stories and hopefully they woke up bright eyed.

UF has the same scenario going on today! My daughter's sorority had to report to the house at 6:45 AM to get ready for the day's Pref parties! UF is doing their BIDs tonite! It will be a very long day today.

I read that the Meteorology school measured 10.5" of rain on campus yesterday.

The flooding in Tallahassee was significant as well. And Gainesville was hardly better off.

Prefs will be very tough this year. It was crammed in because they are supposed to have rush complete by first day of classes, which is tomorrow, I believe.

Finally received the phone call...my daughter is an Alpha Gamma Delta..She was just getting ready to go inside of the house..The call was extremely short..I could hear a lot of excitement in the background..That's all I can say for now, except that finally I can get some sleep tonight and I am so happy for my daughter and congrats to all!! Thanks for the support and messages. You guys have been so sweet and supportive. Wishing the best to all....

AWWW thanks. I'll let her know about all of the warm welcomes that she received from you all. I did get another phone call, she was in one of the rooms changing into her shirt and was so excited. She said that they ran through the middle of a lot of frat guys giving them high fives and yelling, that were standing on each side of them as they ran to their new home. I have no idea what quota was, sorry. She did say that all of the sororities met quota..I hope I'm passing along correct info..she was very excited, so I hope she didn't give me incorrect info. But thanks again for welcoming my daughter so warmly!!

Just in case any one was wondering, my daughter's friends who are twins..both found homes. If you remember in my earlier post, they had very different schedules with only a few houses that were the same..they ended up in the same sorority!

I see that PhiGam's rediculous comment was deleted. Well done, mods. He is only trying to stir up things with his tiers again.

I am wondering if those twins came to our house. I wasn't there last night but one of my sisters told me we got a set!!
