Bike commute to uni today, and bike commute back. It was a lovely hot sunny day in Scotland...so I'm taking full advantage!

Yesterday my flatmate and I went for a 6hr hike up through Clydebank and up to
Loch Lomond, which was quite a hike. We had ulterior motives though...we were scouting trout lochs for next weekends fly fishing trip.

sageofages 07-28-2008 05:58 PM

Biked 3.5 miles, 1.25 miles on the eliptical machines, 30 reps on the weight machines (7 stations), 30 lat ups, 15 ab lifts.

I am beat...but I am DOWN 50 pounds and 2 pant sizes :) Oh yea!

SWTXBelle 07-28-2008 07:50 PM

30 minutes of running with Wii = well, actually elliptical. Instead of just running in place, I get on the elliptical with my remote. I actually went further and burned more calories than usual on the island run!

EE-BO 07-28-2008 09:38 PM

45 minutes of racquetball followed by a 45 minute full body workout with my trainer. Good stuff. I came up with a wicked new serve today that he was not even able to return a few times.

jess_pom 07-28-2008 09:48 PM

25 minutes/2.5 miles on the treadmill and 5 minutes on the stationary bike. Would have gone 3 miles on the treadmill but people were waiting and I hate to hog the machines, plus my stomach was cramping a little.

Congratulations! That's an amazing accomplishment.

Congrats!

45 minutes on the elliptical again, and then a bit of ab work.

SOPi_Jawbreaker 07-28-2008 10:35 PM

I finally went to the gym today after almost four weeks of not going.

I swam 30 laps. I thought about doing another 10 laps but I really hate having to share a lane. I can't believe they only had three lanes. The other three L.A. Fitness gyms I've been to all had five or six lanes.

baci 07-29-2008 09:25 AM

38 quick minutes on the treadmill

jojapeach 07-29-2008 10:45 AM

20 min walk around the neighborhood, 10 pushups, and 60 ab reps including obliques. This AM was rough b/c last night was kind of rough. I'll either walk again after work or go to the gym for the stationary bike. I really enjoy that bike and the different intensity levels. I'm just not ready for spin class again just yet.

EE-BO 07-29-2008 06:16 PM

40 laps today- mostly free and drill, but I got in some good butterfly sets too. Ran to the grocery store after and got home about 10 minutes before rush hour hit. It is always a cool feeling to just barely beat that mess.

sageofages 07-30-2008 12:54 AM

Rest day from the gym. Very very sore back :(

Tinia2 07-30-2008 01:08 AM

two hours of indoor cycling.

RaggedyAnn 07-30-2008 05:29 AM

OK, so I'll put a real post this time. I've walked just over 2 miles every day this week. My walking partner has a torn maniscus, so we have cut back our distance by half. I have to get back out there to finish, but have been a bit lazy. This is a good thread for me to see. Nothing like reading something to make me feel guilty about not getting in my workout!

ThetaPrincess24 07-30-2008 11:27 AM

I speed walked for an hour and did the elliptical for 10 minutes, followed by a 20 minute ab workout (boo!).

Jill1228 07-30-2008 12:14 PM

I did a workout DVD FIRM Total Body Toner

SWTXBelle 07-30-2008 12:38 PM

Walked the dogs.
30 minutes on the elliptical doing "Island Run" on Wii.

VandalSquirrel 07-30-2008 06:37 PM

The Wii fit and the silicone condom arrived.

I'm sure I'll try it out tonight or tomorrow.

cheerfulgreek 07-30-2008 07:06 PM

I laughed really, really hard today. I had to have lost a few pounds the way I was laughing.:D

aephi alum 07-30-2008 07:30 PM

Did some ab work today.

EE-BO 07-30-2008 10:25 PM

2 mile run this evening. No breeze today, and even with the sun going down it was still HOT. I am wondering how I will do when it cools down. Hopefully this is good conditioning for me.

starang21 07-30-2008 10:56 PM

2.5 mile run at lunch time. 200 crunches.

Latina001 07-30-2008 11:15 PM

i agree. i take at least 3 hours of indoor cycling/spinning(rtm) every week.
great workout, great feeling.

LucyKKG 07-30-2008 11:37 PM

I walked to Walgreens and back...hehe...

scbelle 07-31-2008 05:22 AM

I'm a workout DVD junkie, especially now since I moved from an area that had a new, awesome gym to an area with a gym that is old and decrepit. I did Jillian Michaels' 20 minute shred video on level 2 and walked 1.2 miles with the dog. 514 calories burned today. Woohoo!

aggieAXO 07-31-2008 01:02 PM

Sprint work again today in the heat and humidity. Tomorrow is boxing.

DoctorD 07-31-2008 02:05 PM

after being sidelined with a migraine the first part of the week...

Yesterday I took my kids ice skating for an hour and a half.

Today I did 20 minutes [2 miles] on the elliptical, a half mile on the treadmill [working on picking up my pace], 5 minutes on the elliptical going backwards, and 5 minutes on the arc trainer.

Not as much cardio as I like to do, but am still feeling weak from the migraine. Still feel better physically today than yesterday, so that's a plus.

Kids go back to school next week so I will be able to [hopefully] get my gym routine at a regular time again, rather than various times during the day like I've done all summer.

starang21 07-31-2008 02:26 PM

running tonite. 200 crunches.

Coramoor 07-31-2008 02:34 PM

Overhead Press, Back Squat, Power Cleans + 20 mins of HIIT.

In and out less than 45 mins.

Sorry, that alone is enough reason for me NEVER to try it. I commend you on your bravery, though.

EE-BO 07-31-2008 07:55 PM

1 hour of racquetball followed by a 30 minute full body workout. Thankfully all of it indoors.

sageofages 07-31-2008 11:09 PM

1 mile on the eliptical, 3 miles on the bike, 30 reps on the 7 weight stations, 15 lat crunchs, 15 ab lifts.

so sore....so sore....

total body weight lost 20% YEAH...it is worth it.

Good show! I have lost 55 pounds since February and it feels great. I never really got fat- just kind of big all around- but it is awesome to be back near college weight again. If I had known how this would feel, I think I would have taken better care of myself long ago.

Still, with the present and future looking so good- who cares about the past, right?!

lillady85 07-31-2008 11:19 PM

This thread gives me such inspiration.
20 min run to the park and back. Crunches and flutterkicks.
1 hr on the elliptical plus 4 weight machines tomorrow and a 6 mile bike ride to top it all off.

ThetaDancer 07-31-2008 11:37 PM

An hour on the elliptical and some ab work. I'm not doing a very good job of having variety in my workout this week...

Jill1228 08-01-2008 12:55 AM

I did an hour yoga class

JennRN 08-01-2008 01:35 PM

Nothing. The workout I did yesterday has left my knee hurting like a biotch.
Maybe tomorrow. :(

Tinia2 08-01-2008 02:12 PM

lunch time spent about an hour on stair master. will go back tonight work on legs.

BetteDavisEyes 08-01-2008 06:24 PM

I've recently started doing the Power 90 workout. Mike has been using it for a little over a month and I have seen a massive change in him. He's dropped down to 199 lbs from being 215 and has lost inches and gained more muscles in his arms. He looks great! I'm now inspired to work my butt off and look good.
