Yeahhhh it prob was Alpha and Omega, but my mind wants me to think there was a Chi in the middle!

SoCalGirl 06-10-2008 04:45 PM

My top 3 Mole pics: Craig, Bobby, and Victoria. Reasons below:

Craig - He seems friendly and, like one of the players said in the first episode, he can mess up and everyone still cheers for him. Plus, he's from SD. I have to root for the hometown boy!

Bobby - Does he have an undisclosed health issue or is he the Mole? He brags about playing soccer in middle school but he can't run 50 feet! Plus, during the premiere, there was some point where the bags were stacked up and his was in the middle. They seemed to focus on his when the host said "the Mole".

Victoria - The finger print on the helmet during the waterfall challenge. I have my doubts though because she reminds me of Kathryn from season 1.

I was not shocked that Liz wasn't the Mole because the elderly retiree was the mole last season. BTW, I knew Bill was the Mole in the first episode when he refused to dress up in an "embarassing" outfit because he was a retired admiral. My gut reaction was that a retired admiral of his age would have gone through and conducted some wacky hazing. So it likely would not have been his first time doing something like that.

The Mole is TOTALLY Paul... he is trying to stir the pot way too much

nittanyalum 06-11-2008 01:30 PM

Ok, I caught bits and pieces of the show, and I swear, on the previews for next week, a neon green thumbprint flashed on the waistband on one of the women's shorts (they showed 3 women walking toward the camera in black jogging bras and shorts then a quick shot from the back as they passed) -- I want to say it was the woman in the middle, but I'm not 100% sure. I haven't watched the show enough to know if that's just something they do, or is it a "tell"?

TotallyWicked 06-13-2008 03:19 AM

I'm thinking it's Clay, he's been under the radar the entire time and doesn't seem to start trouble like Paul, I think Paul is just there to trick people, I don't think he is the Mole.

I thought I saw it on the back of all of their shorts - maybe I missed that in the previews :)

And SoCalGirl - I'm rooting for Craig too! It was exciting to see a SD person on the show :D

I definitely think The Mole is a guy (if you include the celebrity editions, all but one of the Moles have been women - Bill was the only guy as SoCalGirl mentioned) - so I could see Clay being the Mole, but I just don't know right now.

SoCalGirl 06-13-2008 11:58 PM

IMO, Clay is too under the radar right now. If he doesn't get more camera time in the next two episodes then I'll think there's no way he's the mole.

thesweetestone 06-14-2008 05:28 PM

I don't think that Paul is the mole. Paulie should probably stop f-ing with Nicole, she is not joke! I think that the blonde lady that rode the bike (Karen?) is the mole. I htink that the history teacher could also be the mole.

When I first saw the group, he was the person I thought was the mole, too.

ASUADPi 06-14-2008 06:20 PM

I just don't know about Bobby. One of the contestants made a point of saying something along the lines that he was either really lazy or a great mole. Something about Bobby is fishy to me. But considering I've never watched the show before, I'm not as "ituned" as some of you are.

thesweetestone 08-04-2008 12:17 PM

I think that it's only three people left. I still think that the mole is Mark the history teacher if not him then Craig.

AGDee 08-04-2008 12:50 PM

I think it's definitely Mark... or Craig... or Nicole. Yep, it's definitely one of them.

DoctorD 08-04-2008 04:21 PM

I'm thinking Craig.

I think so as well. If not him, then Nicole.

polarpi 08-04-2008 10:26 PM

I'm thinking the mole is Craig, but I could see how Mark could be the mole as well. I think Nicole's playing "mole" more than anything being overly suspicious :)

DoctorD 08-04-2008 11:00 PM

this show makes me so mad. I want to know NOW. Arrgh!

AGDee 08-05-2008 06:27 AM

I thought we were going to find out last night! I'm going with Nicole after last night. Mark and Craig just both seemed too desperate to win the challenge that ended at the bridge where Nicole had just given up. If it were really on the line for her, I can't see her playing those games and giving up like that. Just seems like there's too much on the line to give up the chance at the mole's dossier. Although, I could still make an argument for each of them to be the mole. I can't wait to see the hidden clues we supposedly got all along. I thought I was looking hard for them and I don't think I caught any, ever!

I can also see it this way - the Mole wanted to try to be first so that neither one of the other players would be able to get a leg up on the other. So in an attempt to keep their identity hidden a little bit longer, they try to make sure that they won to get the dossier. And it's a great opportunity to keep money out of the pot if the Mole got their first.

Exactly.

Ugh! So that means I'm back to.. it could be any of them.

Mark: Way overplayed his notebook especially when it was gone. Seemed to constantly be over analyzing. Who analyzes that much? Well, Steve Baldwin did during Celebrity Mole and he wasn't the mole. That's who Mark reminds me of though and I wondered if it's the role he picked.. the over analyzer, to make it look like he's NOT the mole.

Craig: Hmmm, he certainly was running a lot this week after being so "disabled" during so many challenges. He sometimes seems like he's sitting back and laughing at everyone, but not as much in this last episode. Shifty eyes...

Nicole: Seems to purposely throw challenges but maybe that's an attempt to act like the Mole. Only female left for a very long time.. seems odd. I thought Mark was answering every quiz as though Nicole was the mole and he's still there, although he could be lying about how he's answering his quizzes.

I wish I had access to their quiz answers.

I really thought it was Paul, but then when he was killed off, I now think it is Mark. He has played the game really well and I don't know most of his activities weren't overly suspicious. Nicole and Craig I think are just too obvious to be the mole. When they chose not to participate fully, they just didn't do it. Plain and simple.

Mark did that too, though. Remember the mission where they had to go through the streets in underwear asking for clothes? Mark just flat out said "I'm not doing that."

I still rank them as Craig, Nicole and Mark.

Mark also was (at least edited as) the ringleader to mutiny against the mission where Craig earned that exemption and kept money out of the pot for refusing to get to the specified location in the mode of transportation chosen for them (e.g., the camel suit for Paul & Nicole). I don't know if it was moley behavior, since it seems SO obvious for that to be the mole's sabotage, but I digress.

MC, I'm agreeing with you about Craig being the likely mole, but I think Mark would be the mole over Nicole in a heartbeat (so I'd switch the order of those two :))

LeslieAGD 08-08-2008 02:19 PM

I guessed Mark as the Mole from day one, and hubby guessed Nicole.
We'll see who "wins" in our household when the Mole is revealed...lol

DaffyKD 08-08-2008 06:19 PM

The Orange County Register had an article on The Mole. Interesting article as to why each of the player could/couldn't be the mole.

DoctorD 08-11-2008 10:19 PM

YES! I figured it out :)

SoCalGirl 08-12-2008 02:10 AM

Yeah!!! I feel so smart for figuring it out. :D

MysticCat 08-12-2008 09:37 AM

^^^^^ Exactly.

polarpi 08-12-2008 10:50 PM

Very true - I know the ratings weren't the greatest, but I really hope they bring it back (and I loved seeing the sabotage during last night's episode :))

Did anyone spot the *majority* of those hidden clues? I think the "CRG" one was the most obvious, but apparently not showing Craig's results on the quizzes was supposed to be the most obvious?

In past seasons there was a complaint that the clues were too obvious. I like that only the most die hard obsessed fans would have found almost all of the clues.

I don't see how you could, unless you recorded the show on then watched it frame by frame. I mean seriously -- tiny words in the fingerprint?

The CRG graffiti would have been a good clue if there hadn't been another episode where you could see graffiti that said "mol," with an arrow pointing to Nicole.

I thought the fact that Craig's name was never called for test results was a reasonably good clue, as was the inclusion of the ccordinates for San Diego. The best clue was the "four Is."
