I also wanted to add.... I think I would attend something that was all fraternity, but not something both frat and sorority....men act shady to each other when women are present. This is why I would support a Brother to Brother Fraternity Luncheon.

And like I mentioned earlier, this was ONE example so folks saw that it was more than just dealing with annoying people. This was about trespassing into MY home to harm ME. This had nothing to do with a man. This was now personal vendetta on me - I was not fighting for that man. She could have accomplished more by talking to me than by what she actually did. I do have issues with the other NPHC sororities due to the ethics, conduct of their memberS (note that the "s" makes it plural), like I state in my first post. I mean, in this particular example, wth was she thinking? Over a man? For real? I would have issues with my sorority too if I knew of more than one soror that did this type sh*t in her old age LOL This was ONE example of why I have issues with this particular sorority member, her sorors b/c they crazy too and HER sorority as a whole. Now, am I judging a sorority based on a few members? Maybe. But supporting their sorority would be pretty hypocritical of me right? I feel this way about the other 3 and a few of the fraternities might I also add.

I think that would be an excellent event.

This is the same for women as well, IMO.

(I also tend to prefer smaller gatherings to larger, regardless of who's attending. You get to know everyone better, and at least then if random people are taking pictures of you to post on Facebook later you know they're doing it ... :rolleyes: )

But you know what, you may surprise yourself whenever you do see her....as badly as you want to whoop her a$$...how much would it really change??? Probably nothing. Every battle is not worth fighting and based on how you handled the situation when it happened...you did the right thing. Why should you go to jail for her foolishness...girl please. I almost found myself in a situation kind of like that this past weekend because I completely snapped on my crazy roommate...I was waiting for her a$$ to even attempt to hit me because I was about to beat that trick down...luckily for her she didn't...but that girl is crazy and I just don't think she has the brain power to realize how stupid she is..lol. But no need of me getting in a whole lot of trouble for this nut because not only do I represent God and Velocity_14 everyday...as you stated...I am a walking billboard for my sorority and I take all of that very seriously so..forget that trick and all of those other nutcases and continue serving your community, your organization, and your chapter. Do what what you can do and try to see the bigger picture...

My point exactly. Plus I am confused as to whether she is talking about NPHC-sponsored events or the event of just one of the NPHC sororities. The example seems to indicate the latter, which I really don't get why it is such a big deal to not go.

I think she's talking about NPHC sponsored events at which one of the members of a NPHC affiliate is present whom she dislikes...

That is a problem with aversion/rejection and judgment. She needs to attempt more compassion...

that would be technically an NPHC event, since all the orgs tend to represent. therefore, she wont come. :(
