But this will not be like this wise cause when that Delta Line for Fall 2001 come out its gonna be off the chain!!! and they (or shall I say we) are gonna run it.

I hope I'm not out of place but when you say we, are you a Delta now?

dzjusty 02-09-2001 08:38 PM

1. Delta Gamma ( very cookie cutter, lots of nice girls, but have kind of a snobby rep, top house during last rush)

2. Alpha Phi ( a little less cookie cutter, also have a snotty rep- even more so than DG, one of the best Alpha Phi chapters in the country)

~These two are often lumped together with the same reputation~

3. Delta Zeta (smaller, lots of nice girls, w/o the snobby rep, very interfraternal, less cookie cutter)

DZ sisters never end!

LexiKD 02-11-2001 11:23 PM

I would say the "stronger" chapters would be:
Chi Omega
Delta Zeta
Alpha Delta Pi

AOX81 02-11-2001 11:36 PM

Well we only have three sororities:

Alpha Theta Chi
Phi Sigma Sigma
Delta Phi Epsilon

Sunshine19 02-11-2001 11:59 PM

The three best right now are..

Alpha Delta Pi
Chi Omega
Kappa Delta

But we're getting a new chapter of Alpha Chi Omega...i havent seen them mentioned...what does everyone have to say about them?!

TriSigmaChic 02-15-2001 10:07 PM

I've only really known one AXO girl here at ASU, and she was very sweet and very pretty and very proud to be an AXO. Their chapter is relatively small compared to some of the huge chapters (Kappa, Alpha Phi, Pi Phi) but I've heard all good things about them.

shadokat 02-15-2001 10:50 PM

Where do you go to school AOX81?

At LSU I would have to say the top 3 are:
Chi Omega
Kappa Delta
Kappa Kappa Gamma

...if I had to rank the other 7, it would be:
Tri-Delta
Phi Mu
Pi Beta Phi (they're very selective, although they were very low on my list of choices)
Delta Zeta
Delta Gamma
Kappa Alpha Theta
Zeta Tau Alpha

Although almost every sorority at LSU can be considered 'good' because the only house that doesn't make quota sometimes is ZTA. In fact, our DZ chapter got an award for making quota for 40 consecutive years.

GSSGirl 02-17-2001 01:21 AM

Alpha Kappa Alpha
Delta Sigma Theta
Gamma Sigma Sigma

PiPhiAngelUVM 02-18-2001 11:20 PM

At my school it's:
Alpha Chi, Pi Phi, and Theta

aephi77 02-08-2002 03:56 PM

1. SDT
2. Aephi
3. Sigma Kappa/AZD (tie)

ErikaXO 02-08-2002 06:52 PM

At my school (mind you this was '90-94 that I was there) it was all about Chi O, Alpha Phi and DG. The three were virtually interchangeable lookswise.....we always had the best grades though and generally the guys thought we were the nicest girls of the three. DG was a lot like us but maybe with a little snottier rep. Alpha Phi girls were usually good looking but they had a very bad reputation for being bitchy and kind of slutty. We didn't get along with them very well but I think that has changed now. All 3 of us always made quota, always had to cut a lot of girls and didn't get cut by very many.

NOW I don't know. Honestly, without bias, I would have to say that we are still up there. I think Alpha Phi is too but I don't know that DG is the same as it was. It seems to me that DZ is getting pretty strong now as well as AXiD, and Tri-Sigma is a lot stronger too. So I'm not sure.

APhiRattlerGal 02-08-2002 06:56 PM

Alpha Phi
Delta Zeta
Sigma Sigma Sigma

KSigkid 02-08-2002 07:09 PM

On my campus, ADPi, Alpha Phi, and Delta Gamma consistently get the best numbers.

BearyCuteAPhi 02-08-2002 07:35 PM

I agree!

I would have to agree that Alphi Phi is on the top of the list!!!:D

Ronnie:)

**Alpha Phi is the one to be**

Optimist Prime 02-08-2002 08:35 PM

I will say Delta Zeta. Um....then Tri-Sigma. And then um.....uh....Sigma Kappa

Betarulz! 02-08-2002 08:46 PM

Well top houses is something different than favorite houses now isn't it? Hmm...

I guess the top houses in my opinion are
Kappa Alpha Theta - have had the top Greek house GPA for a while I think, plus are known for having the hotties (even when my dad was here 30 years ago they were considered hot)

Then Chi Omega - smart, and extremely nice girls, easy to talk to.
Then a tie between Gamma Phi Beta and Alpha Phi...Aphi's are insanely gorgeous, and Gamma Phi's are beautiful and really, really sweet.

As for my favorite houses: Tie for Gamma Phi and Chi O both houses are really nice and fun.

Then Kappa Kappa Gamma - some really nice girls in that house.
Then Pi Phi - these girls know how to party!!!

hannahgirl 02-09-2002 12:49 AM

University of Akron......

Top 3 sororities:
~Delta Gamma
~Alpha Gamma Delta
~Alpha Delta Pi

All of us are great though.....we only have 5 on our campus and each are strong in something. So gotta add Kappa Kappa Gamma and Alpha Phi in there somewhere!

:( I will accept the mantra "all chapters are different on their respective campuses." Our chapter boasts homecoming queens, Miss San Diego and runner up for miss california. But that's not important. I am proud of all our chapters, since each sister chose eachother because they saw something they could hold in their heart forever in them and the beliefs of our sisterhood. But thanks for being honest.

lilsnakeyk 02-09-2002 04:37 AM

Long Beach State:

1) Sigma Kappa (I realize that I am biased, but we always pull in quota and have had president's cup 5 years running)

2) Delta Gamma

3) Tie: Delta Delta Delta and Gamma Phi Beta

pbpck 02-09-2002 04:48 AM

well..if i had to add my own...

Based on numbers, who fraternities want to mix with, reputation and campus and greek involvement...

Pi Phi
DG
Kappa

We're the only organization on campus! This includes NPHC, NPC and anything else out there:)

TrojanGirl 02-09-2002 11:50 AM

Here at University of Arkansas Litte Rock, we have only 3, but they all deserve top three honnors!

Pi Beta Phi
Delta Delta Delta
Chi Omega

As for discussion on having "hot girls" I think that looks do not make a sister or a chapter. It is all about innner beauty. Although not everyone in every group is perfect in every way, due to the small size of our greek population compared to our school size (maybe 350 people are greek in a school of about 12, 000) there is TONS of inner beauty, pride, spirit and love here at UALR. In 20 years outter beauty will fade, but those characteristics will live on with a person forever!

Delta Sigma Theta- The best steppers and leaders!!!

Maybe AKA- all the ones who were rejects from Delta just flocked to them..so they have the left overs! They have a large line!

Zeta Phi Beta- nice girls and very family oriented!!!!

Hannahgirl, I didn't realize you were from Akron!!!! I was a legacy to the Akron AGD chapter. Are the Sigma Nus still strong? I dated one in college. We had a XO chapter there but it closed a few years ago, I'm sure you know......I hate to say this about my own sorority but the Akron chapter was just pitifully weak. I would go down there to see my boyfriend and his brothers were like "YOU'RE a Chi O?????" I was always quick to say "Yes, at Kent!!!" And they were like "Ooooohhh! That explains it!"

Are you from around here originally?

Now honestly...maybe it's just me, was that really necessary?

HeavenslilAngel 02-09-2002 11:34 PM

Well at our school we only have 4 sororities Tri Sigma, Phi Mu, AOPI and my local sorority. I'd say the list falls:

1)Tri Sigma

2)Phi Mu

3) my local

4) AOPI

sundevil2000 02-09-2002 11:57 PM

At ASU I think the sororities that honestly get the biggest numbers are DELTA GAMMA, ALPHA PHI, and ADPI. Pretty much every house is doing very well except for a couple, but most houses are full.

PennStateQT 02-10-2002 12:54 AM

It is hard to narrow it down to three top sororities because the 5 strongest ones are pretty close to equal. These are the ones that really stand out from the pack though...

1. Delta Delta Delta
2. Delta Zeta
3. Kappa Alpha Theta
4. Pi Beta Phi
5. Chi Omega

ErikaXO --
The Sigma Nu's are still pretty strong....I don't know many of them but they seem to be great guys and we are trying to get to know them better. They had a situation at the beginning of last semester that gave them as a chapter a bad "rep" but since it was the doing of one individual, it has died off quickly which is good because chapters don't need to be judged because of one person. I knew that there was a XO chapter on campus but it was gone by the time I joined.

ilovemyglo 02-11-2002 03:22 PM

Well there are only two chapters on my campus that make quota every year for more than the past three years in a row...
Kappa Delta and Chi Omega. They always make quota and as far as I know have never done any sort of informal recruitment for the past five years. However, our Chi Omega chapter is very large and not seen very much. I hope that makes sense. As in I know a few Chi Omegas but they don't wear letters a lot and I don't see them carrying totes a lot. It could just be me, though. Kappa Delta is very well represented here and they are seen all over campus (the nickname is the KD Mafia cause they are in everything, but it is all in fun). I guess for the third chapter I have a problem.
AOPI has not make quota consistently here at all and their drop out rate is second only to Phi Mu on campus. They do spring recruitment but keep it hush hush. ADPI made quota this year, but they have a rep for being snobby and prissy. Phi Mu does not have a good rep and they don't make quota either. Sigma Kappa and AGD do not make quota regulary either (neither has in a number of years). However, AGD got the most improved chapter award last year and could again this year. And Sigma Kappa has the fewest members on campus.
So I don't think I can pick a third chapter on my campus, and there are seven sororities, how sad is that? Maybe ALPHAGAMDIVA or PLEDGE4LIFE can give their opinion.

Dreamerchick 02-11-2002 07:41 PM

#1.......ALPHA PHI!!!! We are at the top!!! We have a full house or house total and got the highest amount of new members last fall!!!
#2 KKG
#3 AZD

This is out of five sororities... A-Phi, KKG, AOPI, Tri Delt, and AZD

ADPiSweety 02-12-2002 01:34 AM

The top 3 on the campus of University of Nevada, Las Vegas are:
In this order~

1: Sigma Kappa~Best GPA
2: Alpha Gamma Delta~ Very athletic and always participating
3: Alpha Delta Pi~ Friendliest, most caring and always willing to help.

dzsaigirl 02-12-2002 11:08 PM

Here it probably should go:

DZ - I realize this looks biased, but it's easy to pick as top, we've made quota for 38 years in a row now.
AXO
ZTA
DG
PM
XO

Sure, I ranked them, but aside from the top 2, the others are pretty much on the same level of success. It's not really fair to rank them because each group is unique and has its own strengths. Right now there is no sorority with a negative stigma that causes people to not want to join, although it has been that way in the past. I have friends in every group and they are all great!

 That is absolutly amazing.

showstopper_1908 02-14-2002 07:38 PM

No fair

It would be no fun to play this game because there are only 2 National/International Sororities on my campus.
Alpha Kappa Alpha
and
Sigma Lambda Gamma

PiPhiERDoc 02-14-2002 08:01 PM

On our campus (and I'm rush advisor, so I always get to see the totals) Pi Phi has the largest membership, followed by Alpha Phi and Gamma Phi. All three have made quota every year for at least the last 10 years.

justamom 02-15-2002 01:04 PM

dzsaigirl-I never would have believed it! What a dramatic change.
Just goes to show a LOT can happen over time... Of course AX and and DZ were ALWAYS strong, but the top 5 were all pretty equal. I wonder if it was the "Snowball" effect refered to in another thread.

chantillylace55 03-01-2002 02:53 AM

at usd, i think the top 3 are gamma phi, alpha phi, (these two are pretty much tied for number one and are always in competition with each other) and theta.... there are only 5 of us though:) this is pretty much based on numbers, who mixes with the fraternities the most, campus involvement/visibility, and looks... :p
