In some states, you have to be 21 to even get into a bar (even if you're not drinking) unless it's a TGIFriday's type of place, and even those often have rules about people who are underage (i.e. cannot be in certain areas at certain times).

Well, you do live in a silly state that doesn't allow the sale of beer in supermarkets or convenience stores and only recently allowed select liquor stores to be open on Sundays. :p

Where the hell are you supposed buy beer? And I thought most states had laws prohibiting the sale of alcohol over a certain percentage on sundays.

You have to go to a beer distributor or a bottle shop to buy beer.

Wow, I didn't know about the fireworks thing. Yeah, that law makes perfect sense. So my college-aged brother can carry a concealed gun but can't buy fireworks or buy beer at the supermarket.

Kind of tangential to this thread hijack, from last night's Colbert Report: http://www.comedycentral.com/colbert...videoId=164009

Hilarious.

We would go to the bars all the time when I would visit friends in these cities when we weren't 21 yet.

Well, come to PA and you'll have to change your ways very fast.

He'd have to change his ways in many states.

I would never go out if I ran the risk of partying alongside people under the legal drinking age. The places I know of in various cities and states ID at the door or at the bar.

Plus, some of the places I go to restrict entrance to 25+ because they're looking for a certain type of crowd. No crazy co-eds who are happy to be able to drink legally.

Athens and Tusc def have places that accept underage fake id's.

Statesboro?
why would you even want to go to Statesboro? dry town and one bar that is byob... lame as hell. I can think of much better places like Columbia, Knoxville, or Gainseville in the respective region.
