My workplace has them blocked  Actually, I was reading an article about a week ago that said a lot more workplaces are blocking the streaming feeds this year.

For those of you who can't stream: ESPN Scoreboard
It's pretty up to date on scores, updates with who made what shot. It's the next best thing to watching them.

Apparently I made my whole bracket and forgot to pick the champion - pure genius at work over here.

And there is no way to get it picked now that the games started?

Nope - oh well. For the record, I picked North Carolina. ;)

BTW, so far 6 out of 7 of my teams are correct! I screwed up and picked Georgia over Xavier. Damn Bulldogs! :)

LOL. It looks like quite a few other people missed the final pick too so at least I don't feel so dumb. ;)

BTW, who named their bracket "Go away Tom Earp"? It cracks me up every time I log in.

pirate00 03-20-2008 07:16 PM

On Yahoo! my bracket name is "unc", of course.

KatieKate1244 03-20-2008 07:47 PM

I will be beyond tickled if Belmont beats Duke.

hahahahahahahaha! but I'm sure you won;t be surprised if they pull it off, right? :) :) :) 2 words: Virginia Commonwealth.

NutBrnHair 03-20-2008 08:18 PM

What???

Games so far: 4 out of 8?

Rank: 22nd out of 22?

So much for picking a few upsets...oh well.

pirate00 03-20-2008 09:25 PM

Dook 71, Belmont 70. Good try, Bruins! The only thing good about this win is my bracket pick was correct. I have Dook losing in the 2nd round, where they USUALLY lose. :) So far, I'm 9 for 11, thanks to the damn Trojans.

I have them picked to lose fairly early, too, along with Kansas, which always chokes in the tourney. Why should this year be any different?

That was pretty much what I was saying at the end of the game. Way too close, but I give Belmont credit for not be intimidated by playing Duke.

Yeah, my bracket is pretty busted also. I picked some upsets that Mr. ZTABullwinkle thought were off the wall. The only one I changed was Georgia upsetting Xavier. Good thing Xavier pulled that game out.

I too giggle when I see the name "Go away Tom Earp." I have my suspicions. ;)

KatieKate1244 03-21-2008 01:16 PM

I'm currently running three brackets, and I put different things for all of them. I wish I could keep them straight.

I, too, am giving Belmont a lot of credit. That was one of the best basketball games I've seen in a long time. However, I hope Duke stays spooked enough to lose Saturday ;)

BITE YOUR TONGUE! ;)

Anyone up for the Second Chance Bracket buster?

Tom Earp 03-21-2008 03:32 PM

As Usual GP is her funny self?

I still cannot understand why "The Big XII" gets screwed once again?

KU and KSU, Kansas in the same regionals and KU. beat up on Portland State, and lest we forget, KSU whipped USC! So it boils down to if they each make it to the end of the regional, they will have to play each other to move on.

I have to stick with The Jayhawks of Kansas.

It would be great if KU and NC played for the championship as Roy Williams was KU coach for many years!

There would be a big reason for KU to win that game!;)

Nope, no way, because for the first time since this bracket pool began, I'M #1!!! It might not for last long, but oh boy, life is sweet for the next hour or two. :D

ForeverRoses 03-21-2008 04:02 PM

My husband called me a little while ago screaming. I couldn't figre out what he was saying until I heard "Toppers" something or other. So I guessed that Western Kentucky beat Drake. Then he screamed louder- he's a western alum. I guess he can watch the games at work-- I'll have to satisfy myself with surfing greek chat! (the streaming website it blocked)

AOIIalum 03-21-2008 04:25 PM

Don't worry, FR, you'll get to see it. I have no doubt that they'll be showing that last shot for the next year!

Go Toppers!

nittanyalum 03-21-2008 06:13 PM

Who'd have thought both W. Kentucky and San Diego were going to make it to the 2nd round?

Yeah, that one messed me up good. But, I gotta say I'm proud of the WCC for getting three teams in to the tournament for the first time ever! GO SAN DIEGO - you're the only one left now that Gonzaga bit it. Saint Mary's had a good game, too.

I did pick Western Kentucky. They've been good for several years now...always underrated.

KatieKate1244 03-21-2008 07:02 PM

Damn you, Gonzaga. Damn you!

deadbear80 03-21-2008 07:17 PM

There goes my chances this year now that Drake's gone :(.

I thought they'd be my diamond in the ruff!

I got San Diego though :)

Only something like 5% of the people in the Yahoo! Tournament Challenge picked San Diego. So you should feel SPECIAL :)

UNC: 113 The Mount:74 Did you see Surry Wood??? WOW!

I don't think the Big 12 got screwed at all. I think that both KSU and KU got lucky to both get to play in Omaha, so close to home, so that their fans could easily travel to see them. There are six Big 12 teams in the tourney (five of which made it through the first round) so obviously there will be some doubling up of teams in a few regions. In order for KSU and KU to play each other they both need to get to the Elite Eight. Do you really think that's likely?

honeychile 03-21-2008 11:26 PM

Did I hear correctly, that Vanderbilt lost?

Yes they did, and I'm quite disappointed that they too effed up my brackets.

pirate00 03-22-2008 08:42 AM

Wow. My bracket is officialy busted. I am, however, proud of 'Nova. It's good to have some of these Philly jokers not crying on my shoulder about having no "Big 5" teams make it past the 1st round. Of course I don't see them making it past the Sweet 16. Catholic school or not, they don't have a prayer. :)

Also looking forward to my Lady Tar Heels winning the NCAA Women's Tourney :) We only have one national championship (1994 def. La. Tech), and I want another one! I'm greedy like that, besides doesn't Tennesee have enough of them?

I remember that game like it was yesterday. That game should have been ours. But nooooooooooo, that girl just haddddddddddd to shot a 3 pointer to win the game. ( I'm a La Tech alum):D

GO LSU( I do agree that Tennesee has to many of them) This year the title belongs in Baton Rouge:p

Point well taken, but today will be a big factor in where and who is going from all of the upsets.

God, what a wild year for the round ball teams!

GO, KU-KSU!

Sister Havana 03-22-2008 02:44 PM

I'm #20! I'm #20! (But the GC bracket was my outlandish bracket anyway. ;) )

IU completes a spectacular end-of-the-year tank job with the loss to Arkansas. I really should have picked them to go out in the first round. My heart would not let me.

AOIIalum 03-22-2008 04:37 PM

Thank you Belmont and THANK YOU WEST VIRGINIA!!!!

I signed up for the 2nd chance bracket. My brackets are way passed busted. Not even super glue can repair them now. (darn SEC. I had high hopes for UK and they let me down:p)

On the girls side, it's only day one and already my brackers are starting to crack a little. (Darn Hartfort)

KatieKate1244 03-22-2008 04:47 PM

http://mbower.files.wordpress.com/2006/08/logo_wvu.gif

And people laughed at me.

GO 'EERS!
