Watch the South Park episode. When they say "this is what Scientologists really believe" they're NOT LYING.

Crazy shit.

cutiepatootie 01-16-2008 09:40 PM

ksw is "keep scientlogy working" (i think) it was posted from the msg board under the video. OK that was some creepy footage of him and this insane cult.

Thetagirl218 01-17-2008 12:54 AM

Ok so I got through 5.5 minutes before I almost barfed out of boredom......

In case anyone didn't know their "church/flagship" is in Clearwater, FL, less than a half an hour where I grew up. Basically the church owns all of downtown, and there are crazy people walking around in white shirts with ties....it is very freaky, and I say this having been exposed to it at a young age...

preciousjeni 01-17-2008 01:39 AM

Was this an interview or a pitch? It looked like an interview and sounded odd because we're not hearing the questions. LOL!

BetteDavisEyes 01-17-2008 02:19 AM

Scientology videos. The gift that keeps on giving.

CSI: Church of Scientology International letter to remove video from website.

Taualumna 01-17-2008 08:43 AM

We need to set up a task force to save Suri, Jaden, J.Lo's unborn child and any other Hollywood kid under 12 whose parents are Scientologists or rumoured to be.

Oh, this ain't even the weird part. We haven't even talked about Xenu and the Galactic Confederacy, or thetans. (Just say "no" to going to Venus after you die.)

Like I said before, Tom Cruise was awarded the Freedom Medal of Valor at an International Association of Scientologists event held in the U.K. in October, 2004. This was the video that was shown to the audience to introduce him, kind of the way they do a video at the Oscars about whoever is getting the Lifetime Achievement Award. If you can make it all the way to the end of the video, you can hear audience applause and see TC being introduced and coming on stage to receive the award.

 Wow, now I am REALLY disturbed. More than I ever knew (or wanted to know). How in crap are all these (supposedly intelligent) people falling for this??!? He was a SCIENCE FICTION WRITER, people!! Who "existed on drugs and alcohol" at one point it says, the effects of which are quite obvious.

George Lucas should start his own, competing, intergalactic religion. I'd join his.

DSTCHAOS 01-17-2008 12:36 PM

L Ron Hubbard saved the world. You all are just too SP to realize it.

nittanyalum 01-17-2008 12:45 PM

Wups, sorry, Chaos, didn't know you were intergalactically "saved". Please don't place me near a volcano and drop a hydrogen bomb in it.

I'm right there with you. I'd rather worship the Force than aliens.;)

When I'm waving down at you from Venus, you will remember the error of your ways and pray for a space shuttle.

SWTXBelle 01-17-2008 01:55 PM

Why did Jimmy Buffet just pop into my head?? I don't know . . .:)

They can even rehabilitate criminals! I'd love to see them try to rehabilitate Richard Ramirez or Charles Manson.

Charlie Manson was a Scientologist. Part of his Helter Skelter philosophy was taken from Scientology.

SWTXBelle 01-17-2008 09:00 PM

And suddenly, it all makes sense.

AXi1257 01-17-2008 11:24 PM

Ok- I watched that... was that making sense or do you have to be drunk to get it... yeah, that's it. I should try that.

SoCalGirl 01-17-2008 11:58 PM

There are some Star Wars fans that tried to get Jedi (or whatever the official name is) recognized as an acutal religion.

cutiepatootie 01-20-2008 05:59 PM

I agree i truly believe you do need to be drunk in order to understand one ounce of what he is saying. I watched it twice and still not sure what the heck he was saying. Hope to god he doesnt tell katie to eat the pudding like those cult members in san diego!

AXi1257 01-20-2008 09:17 PM

I was thinking about those cult members that all killed themselves too!! Scientology seems to be a cult not a religion. Freaky stuff.

elusive47 01-20-2008 09:25 PM

Why do I still think that Scientologists are crazy people who don't want to take their meds? Why didn't this video do anything to change my mind?

BetteDavisEyes 01-22-2008 06:54 PM

Check out this Jerry O'Connell parody of the Tom Cruise video. Freaking funny!

They can do thier "thing" and either we have world peace or we are saved from another "Battleship Earth". Its a win-win either way.

Sort of a new take on Team America: World Police.

As a follow-up, there are 4 more short videos here. The fourth one, with Cruise's salute "to LRH" made my day. The third one is great, too.
