I also remember the McKids clothing line that mcdonalds created in partnership with sears in the 80's.

Who had a pair of high-top atheltic shoes? Or the converse "cheerleading" shoes where you could change the colors in it? Who owned a crimping iron for their hair?

Oh and The Ghostbusters!!!

I wore high-tops! Didn't need a crimping iron -- too much natural crimp.

BTW, co-sign on "Luke and Laura" on GH, too -- and the "Laura" song (I still love that!)

Do you remember when Elizabeth Taylor did her cameo on GH as one of the Cassidines? She put a curse on Luke and Laura.

High tops, yep. And Facts of Life "When the boys you used hate you date..." They were the same age as me on the show so they graduated from high school around the same time that I did in reality. I remember bawling my eyes out during that episode as it hit me that my friends and I would be scattering all over the place soon.

Two of the things we all tried to accomplish: Being able to sing all the words to Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start the Fire" and identifying every artist in "We Are the World"
I could do that latter, but never got the former completely right.

Are you sad because you can't find them or because they're not fashionable?... 'cause they've got them over here. I can send you one. :p

To go along with the accessory craze, I remember the shirt slides to create a "t-shirt tail". They had them in all colors, plastic and metal... they were totally tubular, man.

summer_gphib 01-14-2008 10:58 AM

Not to mention hair scrunchies. They had to match your outfit.

And colored socks! I had to match my socks to my shirt. I also loved anything Hypercolor. I wish they would bring hypercolor back. Of course I had they hypercolor socks to match all my tee's.

ThetaPrincess24 01-14-2008 11:28 AM

Benetton brand shirts as well as the duffle bag used as a bookbag was popular.
