I want to slap her, too. I had to look up "codependency" to make sure it's the word I wanted to use to describe their relationship.
Candy Finnigan! I love her. |

She needs to feel pathetic so everyone can smother her and her family needs her to be pathetic so they can have a target for their shortcomings. The bulimic is next. My stomach is turning already. :( |
I saw an episode with Crystal Meth....wow That mess took him from a full ride at a prestigous university to living in random houses with other addicts and stealing money straight out of his parents' accounts. I love shows like this! Snapped on Oxygen is another guilty pleasure of mine and so is Locked Down on MSNBC. The criminal mind is just fascinating to me.

The anorexic cheerleader is on right now... Kim.
wait. typo? at 16 she was 10lbs? |
No comment on last night's episode with Jessie? She was the sorority girl who was kicked out for eating all the food at the sorority house. According to the black screen...

She took binge eating the the next level. Food meant for 70 girls? Crap. |
Tonight's episode was really sad (the tanning salon owner who was an alcoholic).
He was in complete denial, but it's still sad that he never listened (and paid the price for it). For those who saw it, am I the only one who found his relationship with the manager girl really odd? She'd only been working for him less than a year but brought him lunch everyday, and bathed him when he was too drunk to do it himself (and she was married)! |
He was in SUCH denial.
They said she was in love with him. She admitted that she loved him but tried to act like he was a great friend. Whatever. Maybe I'm just into friends that need so much maintenance. I wanted to cuss him out for needing her to cut the jalapeno peppers and bathe him. Are you kidding me, dude? He was soooo cocky during the intervention meeting "I don't need help...I have myself...I've helped YOU." A mug full of vodka and lying about drinking...yeah you've got your life in control. Then he dismissed her help but said she could still work for him. LOL. |
I was asleep. :(

I was wondering why you weren't posting. ;) |
lol.....I was mad at myself for being so tired, too.
|
That is the first Intervention that I can recall with that end result. (I don't want to spoilt it for those who haven't seen it yet.)
|
What the hell are they smoking!?!?!?!
ETA: Never mind.....I am so naive. |
The black guy in the mixed nuts commercial sho was purty. :o
|
What have I missed so far?
I better not forget to turn back to MTV by 10:00. |
I really can't tell you..... my friend in med school called so i missed everything :(
|
You suck. BOOOOOOOO. :(
I caught the last 15 minutes during the actual intervention. By then I couldn't catch on to what the addiction was. Now I'm watching another A&E show about addictions. Oxycotin(sp) is the showcased drug today. Interesting. ETA: The show is "Intervion: In-Depth." |
Tonight's ep was a brother-sister combo.
The sister was an American Idol hopeful who was a binge drinker. He was a musical drunk with a cocaine habit. They had a lot of family issues. Their family was pretty musical, though. The mother abandoned the fam at one time. And the sister takes care of the American Idol hopeful/younger sister like she's bedridden and can't do for herself. |
There seems to be a mini-marathon on right now for the next three hours!
|
NEW SEASON STARTS JUNE 16!!!!!
13 new episodes! |
Tonight is a druggie and alchy U.S. soldier.
He was self-medicating before the military because his mom abandoned him and took his twin sisters. But the military exacerbated his issues. |
I've never seen an episode and I don't know if I ever will, but I just don't know how it's even possible for these people to go through this and let the whole world in on it.
|
This episode makes me cry a little.
I like this intervention specialist, but not as much as Candy Finnegan. |
Quote:
The episode with the soldier? Ya, I cried too-especially when he was talking about the death of his seargant and asking "why" over and over. It was very :( |

And, I'm glad tonight's episode was a soldier. So many people are so glad that their family/friend/spouse/whatever didn't die in the war. Little do they realize, the real war is just ahead--and it's a war to win their lives back after the battle. No one comes back from a war just as they were when they left. My step dad was in the Vietnam war and he refuses to talk about it. He doesn't sleep well at all--even all these years later. He like, half-sleeps, still hearing every noise. My mom says he sleeps like he's waiting to be ambushed. |
Reruns last night! :(
The one with the little boy whose mom sleeps all the time comes on tonight, right? |
YES!
and Don't be fooled, the Intervention DVD they have out is only four episodes from the first season. |
You know what? Something about this entire episode bothers me. I think it's fake.
|
I guess I missed it when I was at the gym. :(
Oh well...on to the Psychic Kids thread. :D |
Are these all reruns tonight?
I watched the one about the crackhead boyfriend earlier and then the one about the meth alchy "daddy's little girl." Now I'm watching the one with the alchy father and they live in Bahhhston. |
The one on now, the heroin addict from Boston is a new episode.
|
I thought he was an alchy. Maybe his wife was the reformed alchy.

I love intervention! I really think they should show it in school health classes.
|
You're slacking, Senusret! Do better!
This dirty ass woman needs a bathing intervention, too. She disgusts me with that aerosal(or whatever?) can. I'm glad animal control and the police have come by. |
The officer with the moustache looks like an extra from Reno 911.
Did her skinny, spray canned ass think she was going to resist arrest? Wow. |
This intervention w/ Allison the inhalant girl is CRAZY!!!
The stuff the family did to try and get her into treatment could have gone horribly wrong! |

That girl was so crazy, and sick, and sad at the same time.
It's like her half-sister said, "she wants to kill herself and wants to make sure she does it as loudly as possible so everyone knows how bad she was hurting." I seriously thought the cops were going to hurt her because she's like 90 lbs and trying to resist two grown men. I'm really glad the family followed through because she was badly in need of help. |
