I am sure all you mature GCers will be glad to know that those sweatshirts are back with a vengeance, we sell them at the Limited.

Jill1228 12-18-2003 01:53 PM

I am an Alumnae Initiate but I am 30 something. Will be 37 in 10 days

DeltAlum 12-18-2003 02:05 PM

Allow me to wish all of you "youngsters" a Happy Holiday.

Funny, but my 30's didn't have much of an effect on me. The 80's and 90's just seemed to flow by.

Now the 60's!!!

AKA_Monet 12-18-2003 10:38 PM

Graduated High School in 1986...

Pledged AKA in 1989...

Graduated College in 1990...

Wow, did I have big hair...

I got a serious question.....

Should I be worried over the fact that I get turned on by older women, such as women in their 30s. I'm being serious. More and more I find myself looking at the women who are in their early to late/mid 30s. I often wonder what what the sex would be like with them and how nice their boobs look without a shirt on. And I can't figure out why I get turned on by them. I don't know if its the fact that I know those women are in their sexual prime right now or if it stems from me banging a professor in Tampa who was 30 when I was 20. I mean sure, I got used for sex by her...but damn if that woman didnt teach me all kinds of stuff. Have any of you women heard of or noticed guys around the age of 24/25 checking you out or hitting on you, not knowing whether or not you're married. I don't know how I went from always checking out 18,19,20 yr olds to checking out women in the 30-36 yr old range. As of now I think its just something guys around my age go through as we get older. At the same time I know I'm one of those guys whos always ahead of the rest of the guys my age in the head.

Lost and Curious,

Craig

They came in a variety of colours.

AHHHH!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVED jelly shoes!!! Seriously, I was all about them when I was like four or five. My mom hated them and wanted me to wear leather though!!

Sell them? We cut them ourselves! And.. well, 20 years and two kids later, those shirts just wouldn't work for me anymore!

Is anyone going to answer my question from the page before? I've been steady waiting for a reply. I want an answer!

Peaches-n-Cream 12-20-2003 03:24 PM

Craig, I don't have an answer for you. I am just surprised when 23 year old guys hit on me. It is a nice boost to my ego. :)

aggieAXO 12-20-2003 03:32 PM

I was buying a skateboard today (for a 12 yr old, not me!)and I was describing to an older gentleman the type I had as a young child in the late seventies. There were two teenagers behind me and I could here them whisper "the seventies, she must be old" :(

I have accepted being in my thirties now and actually have grown to like it-I don't worry about the little things anymore.

CM,
I'm 33 and have had guys who were 22 and also 20 hit on me. I can pass for about 24-28, depending on the outfit and what I am wearing (I sometimes wear this fake hairpiece out to the bar that takes about 10 years off....)

I don't have an answer for you, but I do appreciate being "appreciated!" ;)

I know. Isn't it great to be appreciated?! ;) lol!

Sister Havana 12-25-2003 03:02 AM

I'm 30 now! I pledged Alpha Phi Omega in Fall 1993 and can't believe it's been 10 years.

I wore jelly shoes (mine were purple!) and read ALL those teen romance series. I was all about Sweet Valley High and Sweet Dreams and things.

valkyrie 12-25-2003 02:57 PM

Re: Re: Thirtysomethings come forth!

Craig, it's completely normal for a young stallion such as yourself to be turned on by 30something women. Let's face it, by the time a woman reaches her thirties, chances are that she is more confident, interesting and sexually experienced, not to mention that she probably has more sexual desire than a younger woman.

And believe me, there are plenty of 30something women who are all about the younger guys.

Anyway, am I the only 30something who DETESTS everything having to do with the 80s? That's one decade I will not miss at all!

honeychile 12-25-2003 03:13 PM

um, what if we don't mention our age - ever?

Jill1228 12-25-2003 06:02 PM

Guilty as charged! :D Not to mention the Judy Blume and Sweet Valley High books

FirstAndFinest 06-08-2005 07:19 AM

I'm here! Graduated HS in 87. Still cringe when I think of all the hairspray - and time - it took to get my hair just right.

Whoa, talk about flashback! I read this book when I was in the hospital in 1987. It wasn't bad, from what I remember (but then, I was like 11 or so at the time, so what did I know?)

I join the 30 club at the next birthday. I can't wait! :D

trojangal 06-08-2005 02:27 PM

Beanblossom1 08-20-2005 10:54 PM

How bout the posters on your wall as a teen. I think the wall in my rooms were floor to ceiling with Duran Duran!

Funny, Sistermadly and I along with 2 other Alpha Phi sisters went to the Duran Duran concert in Vancouver this past March...

I think we screamed as much as we did when we saw them in the 80s if not more...

oh yes and Dancing in the aisles

I think I need to crank up some Duran Duran...

Which bands were you nuts over in the 80s when you were a teen?

Yeah for 1987, and two years until my 20th reunion. Now THAT is a thought that ages me........

(soon to be 36...)

cutiepatootie 08-21-2005 09:05 PM

Yep graduated HS in 1987 too and the thopught of my HS reunion sends panic throughout my entire body

aggieAXO 08-22-2005 12:02 AM

I loved WHAM! My brothers kept saying George was gay but I didn't believe them. Also Duran Duran, Madonna, DMode.

Sister Havana 08-22-2005 09:54 AM

I loved Wham! too! I was convinced I was going to marry George Michael. If I didn't marry Simon LeBon, of course. :D
