Sisters,

As Convention draws nearer, I thought perhaps we should throw around some ideas of where/when to meet. How about before or after the Confirmed Conventioneers Dinner on Friday....or maybe for Saturday morning breakfast?

I know for sure we'll be seeing pbear19 on Saturday afternoon. ;) If nothing else, we can meet before or after the Pink Carnation Banquet.

Ideas?

I don't know if you'd remember this, because initiation is so overwhelming at times, especially at convention, but I actually sat next to you during your initiation! I was a guide for my mom, and you were right in front of her. :) She can't make it this year, unfortunately.

Aww...it's a bummer your mom can't come. :( I do remember meeting you; but, unfortunately, I don't remember you (or really anyone!) during the initiation itself. It is overwhelming and all I can remember was clinging to my Big Sister!

3 weeks to go! :D

I found out tonight that I should be arriving on Friday sometime around 1:00 or 2:00 in the afternoon. I am not signed up for the workshops that afternoon, but I believe I am working a shift at some point at our boutique table.

So I should be available for any of the times Kelly suggested, although if my boutique shift is later on Friday it might be hard to meet before dinner. I'll post back or edit when I find out for sure about that.

Edit - I'm pretty sure I'll be working our boutique table from 2:30-3:30. So if by that time you haven't yet bought a pin that looks like this: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...9/100_0346.jpg, you can stop by then. :) I think we've got them in silver now, too.

I'll be there from Tuesday night on but won't be doing much Friday or Saturday (only officially attending part time). And of course, Cele and I will be marching in the confirmed conventioneers parade for the first time. :D

I will probably also be at our boutique table for a few shifts..........

Yes, I'm coming! I fly up tomorrow morning with Epsilon Lambda's MVP. Another advisory board member and I went to Hobby Lobby tonight and got all sorts of cute stuff for our Confirmed Conventioneers hats!

And I totally splurged and bought a Lilly Pulitzer silk dress for awards dinner.

All in all, there will be a total of at least 6 actives and alums coming from Bama.

Seriously, I really need a new digital camera. I'm really tempted to go to Wal-mart right now to buy one.

Go to Circuit City - ask what's on open box! I got a new one this year for $75ish by doing that.

That was really fantastic. :D I'm sorry I didn't get to meet most of you, but it was a blast chatting with Kelly! Since I didn't get there until Friday afternoon I missed everything up to that point, but Friday night and Saturday were lovely. I met so many people that I only knew by their good reputations previously. And there were 12 alumnae from my chapter there, as well as 3 collegians, so being there with so many women that I already knew made it even more special. :) Other than forgetting my camera at home, it was a perfect trip!

ETA - Our chapter won the Alumnae Panhellenic Cooperation Award! :D

I'm not sure the protocol on posting a pic that includes so many other people without their permission online, so I'm waiting to do so. According to Gamma Phi's own rules, you need permission from each person.

Thank you!! :D I am incredibly humbled still by the experience of having it at convention, just being in company of so many women of such admirable strength and character. Suffice to say that yesterday back at work was a tad anticlimactic. :p
