I just didn't understand last night's challenge. You might as well have them dress Rodeo Clowns.

What do you mean?

Most of the designers didn't know how to fit men's clothes, let alone make them. For the most part, the proportions were all off. Even the winner (Jack) didn't follow the challenge of designing 3 pieces.

Instead of us trying to determine who was the best designer it was a matter of who fell on their face the least.

PeppyGPhiB 11-30-2007 03:35 AM

Were they supposed to create three pieces? I thought Tiki just told them to create an outfit for him to wear on the Today show. I didn't think he told them how many pieces it had to be.

LeslieAGD 11-30-2007 07:30 AM

The challenge did not specify a number of pieces.

Kit and Victorya were my favorites. I didn't really like Jack's outfit much. I thought the striped shirt with the pin-striped pants looked terrible on TV.

I thought Tiki said something about it when they were judging. I'll catch the rerun this weekend

If I remember correctly, Nina was disappointed that Jack only made two pieces, and Tiki said it was better to have two well constructed pieces than three sloppy ones.

I stand corrected. I was ready for bed that night and dozing during the commercials.

Marie 12-04-2007 08:05 PM

So far, I am really happy with who they sent home. I thought that the items that they created were really unacceptable. Honestly, I'm not sure why they struggled so much with the last challenge. I mean even if you are used to dressing women, things like sewing a proper crotch in a pair of slacks or a collar on a shirt seems universal. I mean, have they never made slacks or blouses for women? I would think that the measurements would be different, but it shouldn't be the sloppy atrocities that many of these designers put together. Those clothes looked like something a student would make.

Tonight's show:

NOOOOOOOO! I did not want Chris to go home! I wanted Victorya to go - she annoyed me this episode. I thought for sure Ricky would be gone since he's been in the bottom three most weeks so far - but I loved his dress Week 1 and I like him.

I kind of guessed it all of the way through, but agree with you on her.

windinthewillow 12-06-2007 10:10 AM

I was sad to see who they picked go home too. I thought the other group's collection was far worse. (I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet)

LeslieAGD 12-06-2007 12:20 PM

I was very surprised by the result. I thought they should have dumped Victorya.
Her attitude hindered her team, plus Ricky did her fit: the only thing on which she was complimented.

I did really like Jillian's outfit and collection the best, so I am glad her group won.

Marie 12-13-2007 10:24 AM

What happened with that guy's face, last night? I wasn't giving the show my full attention, so I missed what was going on that caused him to go home?

As for the person sent home...another good choice. It was shady of him to buy all new fabric when the challenge was to remix the existing outfit using the existing fabric. However, even w/the new fabric he still made something that looked like it belonged on a nun. Very disappointing.

Jack is HIV Positive and knew he had a staph infection of his skin. He needed to leave because his doctor said he had to undergo an aggressive treatment to kill it off.

Ditto. I wanted to stab a sketching pencil in her eye because she irritated me so much. I agree with speaking up but damn girl, shut the **** up!

Thats what he said he had:eek:???? I turned to it right after he said that and missed it...then I tried to watch the first few minutes of the repeat and still missed it. Wow....that is all I can think of to say right now...

Bravo has tons of reruns. I missed the end, so I'll pick it up tonight when I get home.

LeslieAGD 12-13-2007 04:23 PM

I was sad to see Jack go, but glad they brought back Chris.

Steven's outfit was awful, but it wasn't really fair that they criticized him for not using the fabric and barely said a word to Jillian, who used even less of her client's fabric.

tnxbutterfly 12-13-2007 07:38 PM

I'm just glad that I didn't have to see Ricky crying this week:D

He was crying when his model/client was telling him she wanted him to win, but at least it wasn't out of sadness this time. I have agreed with all the judges' choices so far, and I'm impressed by the talent of the designers this season. :)

Benzgirl 12-22-2007 01:47 PM

No episodes until after the first of the year :(
I'm going through withdrawl

AKAShannon 12-22-2007 02:35 PM

Season 3 has been the best to date.

Season 4 really a strange mixed of designers. This is going to be interesting as well!

Benzgirl 12-22-2007 02:54 PM

I think that this year they have more "pros", opposed to people who dabble in dress-making. We are seeing people who have already been designers for different companies or in their own company.

Although, I'm still trying to figure out the "happy planet" that Alissa is from.

xshelbellx 12-28-2007 11:56 PM

The wait for new episodes is almost over!!! I'm excited. I pretty much died the last two Wednesdays...I was super bummed the 19th, because it was going to be my study break during finals...and then I found out it was a repeat...

I'm Team Kit though. I love her.

Benzgirl 01-24-2008 11:41 AM

Victoriya is finally "Out". She annoyed me.

Those left are Chris, Christian, Rami, Sweet Pea, Jillian and Ricky

cuteASAbug 01-24-2008 11:55 AM

I'm torn between Rami and Jillian.

I agree! Me too! Christian is now starting to grate on my nerves. It cracked me up when Chris said that Christian needed to be given his bottle and put to bed.

Benzgirl 01-24-2008 12:01 PM

I think the judges are starting to view Rami like they did Uli last year. Same stuff over and over. I liked Nina's comment that denim was the opposite of jersey so he had to do something different.

Poor Jillian. She is always having her panic attacks.

I do think that Christian's outfit last night kicked butt, but you would need to be at least 5'10" and less than 110 pounds to pull it off. The comments last night about him acting like a baby were priceless.

Glad Chris is still on the show. He is so entertaining.

I do like Sweet Pea, but I think Ricky is nearing the end.

Talking to himself was funny but I laugh because I do it to. Like what he was doing, talking himself through something but I usually mutter so other people cant hear me and call me crazy...:p

I agree about Ricky even though he's my fave.

DITTO! I hate Christian...he is beyond annoying and his voice grates on my nerves.

I am glad that Ricky had a good week and finally got some recognition. He's talented, but maybe not the best for this competition.
I also really liked Sweet Pea's outfit, and I loved Rami's (thank goodness he didn't have fabric to drape!).

ZTABullwinkle 01-24-2008 02:17 PM

I have a feeling that because not many people like Christian, we are going to see him in the finale. He is getting the "bitch" edit, it seems.

I love Chris. His one liners crack me up. I get the impression that Ricky's dress only looks good if you are 6 foot tall, with no boobs, and weigh next to nothing. I loved Sweet P's dress though. It looked slimming.

cuteASAbug 01-24-2008 02:22 PM

Christian reminds me too much of Jeffrey from last season.

KDAngel 01-24-2008 02:28 PM

I hated Jeffrey last season, but I loooove Christian. Granted he did annoy me last night, but I think he's an amazing designer.

Rami's great too, but yes, all his stuff looks the same. Even if you look at his stuff online -- all the same drapey jersey crap. I'm over it.

Def impressed with Ricky last night. And Jillian can really do some great things too. Def like her as well.

NinjaPoodle 01-24-2008 02:39 PM

The thing with Christian, clearly he is talented but his bitch attitude is not cool.

a.e.B.O.T. 01-24-2008 03:13 PM

Christian has a lot of talent, and he knows it, and a lot of people have let him know it. So, with a talent like that, at his age, an ego problem is totally natural. I don't think Christian will make it to the finale, because there were pictures of him in New York City with two other rejects (the aids guy and the albino guy) post the filming, pre-final. Of course still possible that he is in the finale, but if you are focusing on your final collection (which shows in Bryant park on Feb 9th i believe) then trips the apple dont see practical.

I am rooting for everyone except Romni, but my finale three perdiction is Jillian Romni and Christian. Chris, Sweet P, and Ricky are great and I like them, but they have been more inconsistent, less confident and just seem to be a step or two below the rest. Of course, if Christian doesn't make it, which the photos are fooling me into believing, i think it will be chris or ricky. Sweet p just seems to be an underdog.

Velocity_14 01-24-2008 04:43 PM

I can't stand Romni and that was confirmed by his "ball hog" attitude on last week---something about him is just not right and he makes the same thing every week...he was actually lucky that they had to use denim last night because he probably would have draped it if he could have.

Yeah, I think Christian has crazy talent but he needs to pump his brakes just a bit a chill out because he is still good enough to be out...He just whines too dayum much...but I still like him though...lol;)

I'm glad Victoriya is out as well. Poor Ricky, poor poor Ricky. If he makes to Fashion week, is he going to bre able to hold it together without breaking down in tears. Is Jillian going to be able to hold it together if she makes it to the Final 3.

I'm just underwhelmed by this season. Seasons 1 and 2 were the best.

IMO, Season Two was the most entertaining and had some of the most talented designers.

I had high hopes for this season's bunch but with Jack leaving, Kit being voted off, Rami loosely draping every stinking outfit, and Christian's whiny ass still there, I've become disappointed. Thank goodness for Chris as comic relief!
