You may already know this, but Sheldon and Leonard were named for Sheldon Leonard, an actor in over 100 films and TV episodes (including It's a Wonderful Life, Guys and Dolls, I Love Lucy and Cheers) and producer of many shows, including The Danny Thomas Show, The Andy Griffith Show, The Dick Van Dyke Show, I Spy, My World and Welcome to It and Gomer Pyle, USMC.

I love BBT. I actually get the math jokes and understand the formulas...

I love this show!! CBS hadn't done it win previous seasons, but BBT episodes are now available to watch online on CBSs site the next day. I'm not sure how long each episode is up though.

Yes, I did know this. The cats are named specifically for the characters on BBT, though, because we thought their personalities matched pretty well (Sheldon hides when new people come in the house, Leonard is better at dealing with that, they're both kinda weird but Leonard much less so). But I do love Sheldon Leonard as well.

I LOVE BIG BANG THEORY!!!

Last Christmas, my husband got me the first 3 seasons on DVD. I just gotta get the 4th season now....

I love how Penny now has girlfriends to chat with. Last Halloween, a sorority sister of mine and her husband dressed up as Sheldon and Amy.

I adore TBBT!

I always wondered was "Soft Kitty" a real song or a song they made up for the show?

I never know anymore. I used to believe everything on TV was fake until that one Friends episode that showed Pottery Barn. I thought Pottery Barn was a fake store until many years after the show was cancelled and I walked into the mall and saw the store. You should have seen the look on my face.

I have to say, ASTalumna06, you might have not gotten the full experience watching it in flight and without most of the back story. Try to find season 1 somewhere and give it another shot. There was one season (I can't remember which) that was decidedly less funny than the others and if you caught one of those episodes without knowing any of the characters, I could see you not getting it.

Ok, so now I'm on the flight back to NJ. On the way here, they just played a random episode, but now I have my own tv screen with options. I'm going to give this show one more chance.

Here are the episodes I have to choose from. Which one of these will have me laughing the most and convince me to watch again and again? (Quick, before my flight takes off!)

The Creepy Candy Coating Corollary
The Large Hadron Collision
The Justice League Recombination
The Bus Pants Utilization
The Benefactor Factor

The Justice League Recombination is one of my favorite episodes of all time. I'd go with that or The Creepy Candy Coating Corollary.

Watching back to back episodes on TBS. I am reminded how much I love the theme song.

The entire song by Barenaked Ladies:

Ok, so I watched these two, along with The Bus Pants Utilization. I still don't get it. I didn't laugh once.

You all enjoy your show! I'm out.

:)

Don't worry. We still like you.

We're just smarter than you I guess. :p

My favorite line last night: "A cat can have her kittens in the oven, but that doesn't make them biscuits."

Love! ^^^^

This week's episode was hilarious. I waited for "Soft Kitty" to make an appearance. I wasn't disappointed. Last night, I wasn't feeling well and asked hubby to sing "Soft Kitty" to me and he looked at me like I had three heads, lol.

:) ASTalumna06 just listened to the hype, kind of hyped herself up, and the show didn't live up to the hype. It happens all of the time when people are singing the praise of something and you finally see it and are like "oh...that's all?"

I'm glad you're feeling better but I took the bolded completely different than intended.

Oh, I know. I experienced the same thing with "Modern Family."

But it's Friday and I wanted to give someone a hard time, so I just asked myself, "What would Sheldon say?" And the answer is "I'm smarter than you." :p

By all means, give ASTalumna06 a hard time and do the WWSD thing. :) I was just dismissing ASTalumna06 as antsy and unable to grasp the awesomeness of TBBT. :p

I worked last night so I had to catch up on last nights episode this morning at the desk. I laughed so hard a cube neighbor took note. One of the funniest episodes to date.

The New Year's Eve costume party/competition episode is on now. They won first prize. LOL. Sheldon tried to give his first prize speech during the countdown to the New Year. LOL.

Oh man, can I just say how much I loved last night's episode? I am NOT a fan of Leonard/Priya, and all of the Halloween pranks were hysterical!

DrPhil 12-13-2011 07:19 PM

I'm watching the episode when Raj became an asshole because his discovery appeared in People magazine. They just showed this scene: :)

Bumping to post this link to the Big Bang Theory flash mob. Apparently, this was Kaley Cuoco's idea. So great!

This version includes the official video released by CBS of the beginning and end, along with the middle part as recorded by someone in the audience.

Tulip86 11-19-2012 11:04 AM

Omg. Idied.

DubaiSis 11-20-2012 01:53 PM

That's awesome. I have to get my hands on their filming schedule so we can go watch one.
