my prayer for Nailah and her family....

Dear God, please make a way when there seems to be no way, please be a light when all seems dim...in you we trust and know that all things are possible...in Jesus' name...Amen....

I'm also praying for Soror DG, her family and friends for Nailah's safe return.

I watched them talking about her sister on Gretah Vansestrhen(sp) show last night.

I pray that her sister is found and this issue is resolved.

Oh no! I will be praying that she is found.

My prayers are with you and your family.

I will keep DG and her family/friends in my prayers, and pray that Nailah is found alive and well.

Cops Ignore Complaint Calls...

I know they found the car... But violence against women is just getting out of hand... Makes me feel strongly about my 2nd Amendment Rights...

Nailah Franklin spent last weekend visiting her boyfriend in Milwaukee and attending a wedding in Lake Geneva before returning to Chicago Sunday night.

Her boyfriend, Andre Wright, said she arrived back home at 8 p.m. and they spoke twice that night. On Monday evening, Wright said, Franklin, 28, was relaxing at home as they chatted on the telephone about their day.

"She was fine," Wright said. "She was her normal, cheerful self."

Police looking for missing woman Video

Franklin's boyfriend was the last of her family and friends to have seen the Eli Lilly and Co. pharmaceutical representative, who has been missing since Tuesday.

Chicago police are trying to speak with many people, including a man they believe made threatening calls to Franklin within the last two weeks. A different woman filed two orders of protection against the man Sept. 12 and 18, according to a source and court records.

Franklin filed a police report last week regarding the calls. Detectives encouraged her to also file an order of protection against the man, but she didn't, said Sgt. Virginia Zic-Schlomas, head of the Special Victims Unit at the Harrison District police station.

Franklin casually dated the man before she met her current boyfriend in June, family members said. "We don't know if the [threatening calls have] anything to do with this," her sister Lehia Franklin A. Cox said.

Wright, who first met Franklin this summer at an art gallery event in Chicago, said Franklin never mentioned the man until the phone calls started. He said the man called multiple times and she did not call him back.

Two friends last spoke to her Tuesday, and three people -- her boss, boyfriend and youngest sister -- received a vague text message that night stating she was at dinner and would call them later, her family said.

She never called.

Wednesday morning, Franklin missed an important meeting with her boss in suburban Chicago and, soon after, her family reported her missing. Family and friends say Franklin is a happy person with a thriving career and lots of friends. They suspect foul play because she would never just drop off the radar, they said.

"This is something she would never, ever, ever do," Cox said. "She would never miss work and not be in contact with her girlfriends or boyfriend."

Her company-issued vehicle, company laptop and personal laptop are also missing, according to police, who have not named any suspects but said they have "good leads." They are checking Franklin's cell phone and credit card records, as well as police-owned street surveillance and cameras inside her condominium complex at University Village Lofts in the 1500 block of South Sangamon Street.

Before the threatening phone calls, family and friends said they had never heard Franklin express concerns for her safety.

Wright arrived in Chicago Friday morning to help dozens of volunteers distribute about 10,000 fliers in the area around University Village.

Police have said Wright is cooperating and is not believed to be involved in the disappearance.

Franklin's missing company-issued vehicle is a black, 2005 Chevrolet Impala with Illinois license plate 1957855.

Omigoodness, I saw this on the news today!! My prayers go out to Discogoddess and her family!

I joined the facebook group dedicated to the search for her. Hope she's found safe.

I remember Discogoddess. How horrible!! My thoughts and prayers are with her family...

I've seen reports of this on MSNBC all weekend so I hope the national coverage is doing this case some good. Sadly, they were reporting that they found her car in a lake in Hammond but that has been it.:(

I got a bulletin last night from Dane Cook on myspace about this. I'm glad it's getting such attention. My thoughts are still with everyone affected.

I have been steadily praying for Nailah's safe return to her family and friends.

Star Jones talked about this today and she had DG on the show.

I am praying for this young woman to be safely returned to her family and friends. Unfortunately, I know the agony of having someone you love missing, not knowing their fate (my children were abducted 6 years ago on Christmas Eve, and were returned unharmed a few hours later). But God is Good--ALL THE TIME!! I know he's watching over her, and He's going to see her through. He did it for me, and I KNOW He'll do it for her. He will take care of His own. I'm praying for her and her family.:(

This story is really getting a lot of attention...a family member was on Michael Baisden yesterday and should call back today with any updates. I hope they find out something soon...it is such a horrible feeling when someone you love is missing.

Our big news today is that Nailah's family announced a $10,000 reward for information leading to her whereabouts and launched a web site: www.bringnailahfranklinhome.com . Look for an updated flyer, event info and new content on the site in the next day or so.

On the investigation side, the FBI has joined the Chicago Police Department to find Nailah, and they continue to process her car and personal effects found over the weekend, along with the materials taken from her condo by the forensics unit. Detectives are interviewing people, following leads and tips and generally working hard to get information.

Nailah's family and friends are working just as hard to spread the word about her disappearance, via flyers, posters, emails, media outreach and so on. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for all your help, prayers and positive energy. We need it.

I am so sorry to learn of this news.

This is really scary. I just pray this woman is found alive and well. We all need to be prayed up in this crazy world we live in.

I first heard about this unfortunate situation on Fox News. My prayers are with her and her family.

I keep her in my daily prayers as well. I can't imagine and my hurt truly break for all families with missing children/family members.

A body has been found. However, it has not been confirmed that it is Soror DG's sister. A press conference has been scheduled for 4PM CT. :(

Pray Without Ceasing

I am touching and aggreing with EVERYONE for the safe return of Nailah and for the comfort of her family.

I read the email, and my co-workers are following the story as well. I didn't get to come back in here to see if there was any more news.

They found a body, I think it was today, by some trees in Calumet City. May that person's soul rest in peace.
