I saw some cute owl Christmas ornaments at Michael's. They're made out of wood and look like little forest creatures. (Well, that's what they are! Lol)

Sorry for the crash, but do any of you ladies know any non girly owl items?

I see some from time to time. The Michael's website isn't loading right now, or else I'd try to find those Christmas ornaments. Hmm...I can't think of the other non-girly owl thing I saw recently.

Well let me know. We do share a mascot after all.

There's the owl I saw! Go to Michaels.com, then click Christmas then ornaments. It was under "Celebrate It (tm) Themed Ornament Collections."

World Market usually has owls similar to that as well. I haven't looked yet this year, but I've seen them in years past.

alum 12-19-2009 10:46 AM

I saw a bunch of owls made out of natural substances at World Market.

These Nick and Nora flannel pjs are much cuter IRL and can be found at Target for dirt-cheap.

One of the advisers for my undergrad chapter has those! They are SUPER cute!

I saw these and thought of you all. They come in 3 colors.

For some reason. I can't get the image to load. So click away to a fabric with blue owls as a motif.

I'm not sure if the Christmas displays differ Macy's to Macy's (I doubt it), but the one near me has an ENTIRE TREE decorated in an owl theme. Any and every owl ornament you could ever imagine. I wanted to take the whole tree home with me!

LucyKKG 11-08-2010 03:17 PM

^^ Oooh! Maybe I should go lurk around Macy's now...

thetygerlily 11-24-2010 03:18 PM

This set is adorable- blue & owls for baby's first place setting.

If anyone is crafty, you could try these:
http://moonstitches.typepad.com/moon...style-owl.html

I made two sets for Christmas gifts. You can see mine on my blog:
http://warmaspie.wordpress.com/2011/...oliday-part-i/

The sets that I made spell out "JOY," but you could spell out "KAPPA" or your Greek letters.

They were really easy to make, but I think mine look grumpy.:p

Target has a blue owl purse hanger! I don't see it online but bought one in the store tonight.

Here's a quick picture of the blue owl purse hanger:

FleurGirl 02-19-2011 07:57 PM

^ Have you used one of those before? They look like they're great but I'm usually lugging a laptop/binders/research papers around and I don't know how sturdy they are.

thetygerlily 02-19-2011 08:32 PM

Yes, I have a few of them. This style normally holds 20 pounds, but I haven't tested the limits. I normally have a notebook, water bottle, Kindle, granola bars, and a large wallet. I've tried to be better lately about not overloading it!

I don't use it with my laptop bag- depending on how heavy it is it'd probably be okay, but I wouldn't want to push it that far.

Pardon the swerve, but I noticed today that Target actually has a bunch of Owl items - pillows, lamps, bedspreads. I just went online to see if there were pictures and I saw that they also have an entire owl bathroom ensemble!!

Aww, some of the owls are even blue! Those are cute, I haven't run across those yet... but may have to investigate. You know, just in case.
