^^^ See, that quote right there is a result of miscommunication. I responded to cuteASAbug's comeback with:

I actually meant that her comeback was nice. When I thought we had someone to ignore, I was referring to omegaland with his dumb remark about white people and flip flops. That's one of the dumbest things I've read in some time on GC. Flip flops are universal and comfortable as all get out. Some folks pay more than others, but that's what they can do.

Some folks like controversy, but that's on them. I like flip flops, and so do millions of others. No racism on my part.

I can read, you just need to structure your sentences a little better. It truly looked like you were attacking CuteASAbug.

You're the only person who read my sentence that way (unless others chose silence). After all, why would I want to put CuteASAbug on ignore when she's been here for some time and she's not mistaken for TomEarp or other "troubled" persons?

Again, pointing to literary analysis or at least basic use of context clues, I'll assume you can't read just as I can also assume you can't construct a sentence well because your first "sentence" is a run-on with the comma instead of a semi-colon. (Former English teacher... )

I'm done with this before it turns into an English debate.

Flip flops are cool and all, but I'm not ready to spend double digits for shoes I might wear in the shower. I've seen some suede flip flops that were cute, but I guess I'm not gonna hear anyone on expensive flip flops considering I'm not into names like that.

I love flip flops. In the summer, they're practically the only things I wear. I don't think I would get suede ones though, since I hate suede footwear and bags. I needed to replace a brown pair, so I went to J. Crew yesterday. Walked out with four pairs. Admitting you have a problem is the first step. I haven't gotten to it yet.

When cuteASAbug needs to replace something, she replaces it with 4 somethings. Which makes for interesting times when she breaks up with a guy. (Just kidding.:p)

So I just got my first pair of Vineyard Vines flip flops and they are the most amazingly comfortable thing ever. I thought that my J. Crew ones were great but they don't hold a candle to Vineyard Vines, not to mention how adorable these ones are. I definitely recommend them.

Oh, don't worry, there are contextual clues that apparently you missed.

I'm so disappointed with my Rainbows. I finally bought a pair, but they've given me so many blisters, and for some strange reason, are making the bottoms of my feet burn. I know you have to break them in, but nothing is seeming to make them get any more comfortable. Damn, I wish I didn't spend that $45 on them.

I've had my Rainbows for over 3 years now. They seriously are the most comfortable flip flop--I do remember getting a few blisters when I first wore them until they broke in.
As for the people that said they didn't like them--I have always gotten a number of compliments on mine whenever I travel outside NC (where it seems everyone owns a pair)--I have the skinny tan leather ones.
Initially $40 seemed pretty steep for flip flops, but as often as I wear them, it makes sense.

Yeah it does seem like everyone here has at least one pair of Rainbows, and everyone seems to love them, and it doesnt matter if you live near the beach (Me) or near the mountains, Rainbows are popular coast to coast here in NC :D

I agree, they do seem to be wildly popular here! :D
Although it took me a couple years to get into the trend..... I'm glad I did b/c they are insanely comfortable, although it did take me quite some time to do so.
