|
I'M DYING HERE!!
It's bid day for UTSA - where are my Texan Gamma Phis with the news???
|
:DI just got off the phone with Taylor Estes, from Sorority Extension. Let us welcome 60 new members of Gamma Phi Beta to UTSA!!! WOOO HOOO, total was 55,however, Panhellenic allowed us to take 60. Over 300 women came out for our extension. My hats off to our extension team for an awesome job!!!:D:D:D Pink carnations to all!
|
That is BEYOND great! Wow - yeah for our extension team!
Things are looking real good for Zeta in 2 years - 300 showing up is evidence of a growing interest in greeks there! Pictures! We need pictures here and in the "Bid Day Pics" thread! |
That is FANTASTIC!! It's great to know things went so well.
According to my latest info, the TCU colony has COBed up to 120!!:) |
UTSA week was awesome and EXHAUSTING :)
I made it out for the information session, philanthropy and Bid day and it was amazing. I have pictures I'll try to post a little later this afternoon. It was fun teaching them songs and they were so fired up!!! |

UTSA was so great! I cannot tell you how much fun it was....how many amazing women we talked to......how fun it was to be on the extension team and get to know the other sisters there. I was there for the info sessions and conducted interviews on Tues and Weds. My throat was so sore after the first day!! I wanted to stay for the rest of the week, but I had to get back to work.
Zeta lambda (A&M-Corpus Christi) sent several women up for philanthropy night and a few from Zeta Rho (A&M) came too. I heard it was amazing. Around 60 ZL women came for Pref and I heard it was the most emotional pref ceremony - the chapter and pnms were all crying! I asked the ZL women what they thought of the the newest members and they just love them too! It will be great having these two chapters so close (about 2 1/2 hours) so they can get together and share the sisterhood! All Gamma Phi Betas should be proud of the work that everyone on the extension team did! The UTSA Student Activities staff also really great and helpful. |
UTSA Picture!
This came in my email today and I thought y'all might enjoy it, too! Sorry it's so big...

Georgia on my mind . . .
So - who has the scoop regarding KSU? We need to shake the peach trees and get an inside source for our next colony!

I don't think anything is happening right now, but two of our Leadership Consultants went to campus a few days ago and did tabling. There are two Gamma Phi at Kennesaw groups on Facebook, and they both have a lot of girls. Lots of interest! I'm very excited!! |
BUMP
Do we know when our two Texas colonies will be installed?
|
per an email from our RC, the installation dates are as follows:
TCU – February 2, 2008 UTSA – April 5, 2008 KSU – April 26, 2008 |

Neat! UTSA is getting installed on my birthday :) |
Bump - part II
Any KSU news???
And who is going to the UTSA installation? (wish I were . . .) |

I'm not sure when KSU starts however, I do know the CLC's just got there! So it may start soon. RE: UTSA, let me know when you hear anything!:)

Thanks, AOPiRose!

The presentations are usually announced publicly once we are accepted. Other than that, it's not something we publicly disclose.
|
I would love to see us at Mississippi State. :D
|
There's no bad place for a Gamma Phi Beta chapter! :)
|
I'd love to see another colony in Georgia!!!
|
I have a very good feeling about Georgia Tech! It's supposed to be known by Wednesday or so who is presenting.
|
I'm sad . . .we're not presenting at GA Tech.
BUT - our colonies are doing so great. I would LOVE to see some pics from TCU and KSU. Any Gamma Phi GCers have photos? |
i have a pic of KSU, but don't know how to upload it. It's asking for a URL. Any help?
|
How is the colonization going at Kennesaw State? How many new members are there? Is there an address were I could send a letter of congratulations to them? Thanks so much!

That's great news! It sounds like all of our extension teams have been really excelling with our recent colonies. I always love to hear that Gamma Phi is spreading (particularly in the South).
I happen to also sell sorority merchandise online and had a GPhi order last week go to Kennesaw, GA. I wrote a little note congratulations on the invoice in case it was a woman affiliated with the new colony, I was just so pleased! |
KSU Colony
The KSU Colony is off to a great start! The new members are truly phenomonal women!
notes of congratulations can be sent to: Rachel Christiansen |
