2 new apps which are completely useless are bumper sticker and my aquarium.... i mean... USELESS. but they amuse me.

bumper sticker- you can upload your own pictures... that's pretty fun lol

I'm really irritated with the Blackjack application.

There's no split option, and the odds are horrible. The dealer NEVER busts, and anytime you hit anything over a 12 you bust.

The Greek Pride App now has a triva game. It's ok, except some people threw in some random questions like on what campus or in what year was a spesfic CHAPTER of an org at/founded.

Like I know what year the Alpha Lambda chapter of Kappa Delta was founded off the top of my head. I bet 75% of initiated KD's couldn't tell you that...

I wish I could add the greek pride app, sometimes things like that (and websites for apparel, etc) that only use national orgs... it makes me sad... like as much as I love my sorority, I wish i could find someone from another chapter.... :(

I have the greek pride application. I came across a Nu Sigma Chi crest when I was playing the Greek Pride Player Game. Not sure if it was your org or if there's another Nu Sigma Chi somewhere out there. But this is the crest that was in the game http://www.nusigmachi.com/.

On my Profile, all you see is the Greek Community (gotta represent! :D ) and the original Gifts app. (where you have to buy to give)
But I have some more applications hidden :D like the Bumper Sticker (I like quotes & pictures), Free Gifts, and Graffiti (which used to be on my profile but I hid it cuz it took up a lot of room. hahaha)

One of my friends just got Scrabble a couple months ago and we've been playing Scrabble when we hang out at her place. Well, a few days ago, we both added the Scrabulous application. We were playing it all day at work today. Heehee!! :p

I play Scabulous with cuteASAbug. I think we're on about game 25 or so.

I kept my home page to the old layout after seeing the new one for the first time and am very :mad: that they're forcing us to use the new one soon.

I don't like it - I think it makes it less user friendly.

NOT a fan. One of the things I liked about Facebook was that everything was all on one nice, neat (well for some) page. I won't bother looking at fun bumper stickers and other stuff if I have to click elsewhere. Things like BS and Flair were fun amusement while I was already there - not something I'll go out of my way to find.

Boo.

I don't like it but I think I just need to get used to it. I hated it when Facebook was redesigned in 2006, but I eventually got used to that. As for this new Facebook, it took me awhile to figure out where my applications got moved to. I don't like that it's on a separate tab than my main profile, but having my application on its own tab is allowing me to display more applications without expanding my page really long.

Not a fan of the new one.

As a non Facebook person, my question is: why do they keep doing all these things that seem to irritate the majority of the users with little notice? Haven't they heard of focus groups and market research? It just seems like an update of Lily Tomlin's character who said "we don't care, we don't have to - we're the phone company."

Okay, at first I didn't like it, but now that I think about it- it's more organized and clean-cut.

Now you don't have to scroll through dozens of useless apps to write on someone's wall, the feeds are more organized, etc. It'll take some time to get used to but just wait.

I hate it. I can't find anything and the way I found new cool apps was to happen upon them while scrolling down to write on someone's wall, etc. Has anybody figured out a way for others to be able to see their Pieces of Flair bulletin board? I have Flair on the left hand side of my Wall page but it shows them like one at a time, with a button to scroll through them. What is the point of being able to "arrange my flair" if nobody can see it?????? Infuriating.

If anything, it's just a matter of getting used to it. I know I was the same way when Facebook decided to add newsfeeds to their homepage. Facebook Beta of 2003 was the BEST, though. There were no such things as applications, it was cleaner, and easier to navigate.

I've already switched over to the new Facebook so that I could get used to it before they forced everyone to switch. I do like being able to view profiles without 239402830492834 applications in my face.

Move your pieces of flair out of your "wall" tab and into your "boxes" tab. It's also the place to find applications that you had in your profile. I was going nuts trying to find my Scrabble and iLike until I noticed that my profile was now divided into tabs.

As for new apps, if your friends are anything like mine, you'll continue getting those annoying notifications that so-and-so wants you to add such-and-such application.

The news feed I can ignore, but I swear if anyone sends me another invite to get an application they are going down!

Apparently there is an application that lets you go back to the old FB. I hate apps, so I probably won't be adding it, but a few of my friends say it works.

Maybe this has already been answered, I kinda looked. Is there any possible way to be invisible to people on FB when you're online? I've started avoiding FB because every time I go on it someone starts up an instant chat with me. It's not that I don't want to chat with friends but sometimes I just want to return my messages and mess around for a while without someone bothering me.

^^^ Yes. There is a button which says "Go Offline" in the same general area as the little annoying chat thingy. You want your green button to be red.

After careful consideration - I actually kind of like it. I'm getting used to the new layout, and I'm liking the navigation better than the old one.

I know someone who works for Facebook, and you wouldn't believe the hate mail she gets from people over the new layout. Granted, some people are upset, but some of the emails are pretty nasty.
