wow... and no, you should never admit you play it.
wow, that is :D |
lavalier is on 99.9999 of the time. Aside from my engagement ring, it is my most work piece of jewelry.
I have a plate frame on my car (that my dad had to modify so it didn't hide my PA tags!). I'm down quite a few pairs of letters because I'm now alum and I handed a bunch down...my wardrobe has decreased SIGNIFICANTLY! Man I need to go shopping. |
I rarely wear letters; once in a while I wear a sweatshirt if I'm running out to pick up food or something, and I wear t-shirts when I'm working out or working around the yard.
I don't think it's necessary to wear letters everyday, as a matter a fact, I only wear them when the occasion warrants it. Most people know what I am, already anyway. I do have a tag on my car though.
I don't wear them daily, but I do have 2 lavaliers (one traditional with a lyre charm and one contemporary). I also have a necklace with 3 rings on it that have words inscribed that are near and dear to every AXO. I usually go running in some of my party shirts. I also have a license plate frame and my husband surprised me last year with AXO-significant tags for my car.
I don't care at all if girls flash their letters everywhere, but guys who do it come off as major douchebags to me.
I could care less about showing off my letters everyday.......when you get outside of the college bubble, nobody really gives a shit if you went greek. |

LOL! Now, just my license plate frame. |
Crest on my car, a party shirt here and there, and gameday shirt in the fall. I wear sorority shirts more often because they are free and I have a lot of them.
I wear a chain or shirts with KKG letters on it but if it is a day i have on no letters then i usually have on a symbol like a fleur-de-lis ring

I'd have to disagree seeing as how my last boss was greek (EX) and it really got us talking about school and our chapters during the interview. I got the jobby job. ;) |
Yeah, I mean, sure.......being Greek will help you with connections....i've made plenty from it. In the business world though, I don't think it is important at all. I don't think anyone really cares that my dad was an SAE, or that my grandfather was an SAE. They care about how good of an attorney dad is and how good of a doctor granddad is.
Sometimes it is important, though - had mediation with my ex, whose attorney is his Sigma Chi fraternity buddy - told my Sigma Nu attorney that the mediator could NOT be a Sigma Chi! LOL - would've been nice if he were married to a Gamma Phi . . .
the only para i have is a jacket and living in south louisiana, there's not much occasion to wear it right now :( i'm only about a month old, and we're a newer sorority, so there's not as much to be bought. i'm still waiting for my t-shirt and tiki to come in the mail...
