I remember the missing story. I haven't gone through that old thread or any other LLL threads here on GC, but I do remember that.

Although it's cute to be playing the Tarzan and Jane thing, it solidified her as somewhat of a wierdo. |

I think the little boy's last name being Lopez, was just a coincidence. Isn't Lopez very common hispanic last name? I got a narcissistic vibe from the documentary also. |

Did i hear differently, for some reason I heard it was storming when she got into the accident (coulda just been my imagination) Lopez is a VERY common Spanish surname..even if she were to say it was spelled "Lopes" she was in Honduras, plenty spell it that way. yeah, i kinda felt it was narcissistic as well, like ok, this kid died...try to talk more about him rather than yourself |

It's on right now.
Apparently VH1's online schedule is inaccurate. |
I watched this the other day. It made her seem a little unstable. Something in her eyes didnt seem quite 'right'. She was describing her upbringing as if she was abused or something. With the exception of her father giving her liquor she had a relatively normal childhood. I think it just left more questions than answers.
|
I missed it...saw a clip online thought & didn't really get it...because I too thought it was storming the day of her accident...
|
I watched that end again and it was creepy.

Was she driving? I can't remember. I was very shocked in at the end. Such a sad life.

For anyone who missed it VH1 will show it again Thursday May 31st @4/3c PM and Tuesday June 5th @6c PM. At least that's what VH1.com said.

I finally got to watch this and I do agree that it was weird. I just didn't even know what to say afterward.
Why in the world did she still have that boys shoes?:eek::eek::eek: The end when they were in the car was very weird because there didn't appear to be anything that would make her swerve like that. My friend thinks that if a spirit was really following her, it's possible that she may have seen something to make her swerve. I don't know, I'm confused. I knew that she set Andre's house on fire but for some reason I didn't realize it was that serious. She burned that thing down to the ground. I would be interested in seeing what VH1 has to say about this documentary and why they choose to do it. |
i dont think that was the actual accident either...remember how the 4 girls were packed on that second row seat with no belts? there is no way that car got jacked up like it was and not one of them was killed...one of them would almost have to have gotten thrown from the car.
|
I think the craziest thing was the fact that Lisa was the only one who was wearing a seat belt.

From my understanding, this was not originally done by VH1 but rather another filmmaker. I do know that the documentary aired in Atlanta at the Atlanta Film Festival this past April on opening night. I'm still not sure of its purpose or why they decided to do it 5 years after her death. It's just a little unsettling as far as timing and overall content of the documentary itself. As others has said, it seems a bit too perfectly executed. |

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought Arizona was crazy. After reading her first post the other I was like WHAT?!?!?!?! Is "mai" supposed to be the same as "my" and "ai" the same as "I"?:confused::confused::confused::confused: :confused::confused: |

Hey, ladies, sorry for the crash, but as it's the 6th anniversary of Lisa's passing, I was looking for old threads about her. I'm about to watch this documentary again and was intrigued by the thread. I know it's old, but some things piqued my interest (before Arizona ruined it ).
I happened to be in Atlanta the day this aired at the film festival (one year ago, today, actually). It had already been shown at several festivals at the time, but for the 5th anniversary, the family wanted to bring it to Atlanta, the place she called "home." And the film was attended by Lisa's brother and sister (Ronald and Raina) and I was blessed enough to get to meet them afterward and talk to them. I just wanted to say that the speculation about suicide is definitely not true. The people in the car said she swerved to avoid something on the road, but no one saw exactly what it was. She wouldn't have tried to take her own life at the expense of all her friends who were in the car. The family actually has a pending lawsuit against Mitsubishi because, at that speed, the car never should have flipped over. And yes, that actually was the end footage just before the crash; it was not raining and there was no storm. The whole thing was edited by a filmaker in conjunction with her family. Her mother, brother, and sister approved everything before it was shown and agreed to show the last bit rather than edit it out. Again, please excuse the crash.:) I just couldn't help but notice the things I know weren't true (there's more I saw, the stuff about her childhood and why the house burned, etc.) and wanted to say something, especially today. Ron (her brother) set so much straight when the crowd asked questions and when I talked to him, I just wanted to speak up, hope you don't mind the resurface. |
