Hey, thought I'd mention that Sigma Chi installed Santa Clara, Lambda Gamma; UC-Merced, Lambda Delta, and New Haven, Lambda Epsilon last year. Also reinstalled Gettysburg, Theta; in addition to what has already been mentioned. Also, it just reinstalled Maryland, Gamma Chi last month.

But, I hear FGCU wants total control over greek expansion. Forget that. I'm gonna start contacting students at FGCU about FIJI and we're just gonna go straight to nationals and colonize without FGCU's approval. Somebody told me about how kappa sigma did the exact same thing down there. I'm thinking about doing the exact same for FIJI.

Best of luck with your endeavors. Phi Gamma Delta is an excellent fraternity.

Bryan436 02-22-2010 03:24 PM

"""Somebody told me about how kappa sigma did the exact same thing down there"""

they did, but they have a semi-bad rep here (FGCU) for doing it.

I am a little confused. I remember when UT-Martin and University of Tampa were chartered, their petitions and the call for votes was on the HQ website. I do not remember seeing anything for either Mizzou or George Washington. Has something changed in the process of installing new chapters?

re charters do not require chpter vote only EC

LaneSig 10-29-2010 09:21 AM

The colony at the University of Ottawa will be chartered Nov. 19-20. They will be the Lambda Theta chapter. Congratulations to the new members of Sigma Chi.

Um.

They're already using the Sigma Chi crest on the SFU Greek Life website. That appears to be jumping the gun a bit.

This just doesn't strike me as a "Sigma Chi" type of campus, Shuster or not. He went to Pitt, not SFU, and with his pork record anything he "sponsors" kind of makes me look askance. Oh and he hasn't been a congressman for a while, his son was elected to his seat when he resigned. I know he's your bro but it is what it is.

LaneSig 01-24-2011 10:03 PM

The interest group at Carnegie-Mellon is now a colony. They have chosen the name Sigma Chi Alpha.

LaneSig 03-23-2011 07:22 PM
