well, junie, i can tell you this---

when you are going thru recruitment, noone is going to be looking at what high school you went to,(except to see if anyone in the chapter also attended your school) but they WILL be looking at your gpa.

in other words, you will not have any slack cut for you because you attended "hard high school." it's all about recs.(well, at least in the south),gpa, activities, volunteering and how you present yourself during recruitment.

And they will probably notice if you have a contentious and superior attitude about your experience as compared to everyone else's.

Take people's advice or don't, but it doesn't seem to do you any good to try to argue with people.

Most people don't find college easier than high school. Your school may be exceptional, but it doesn't change what's true for most. And GLOs are going to probably use evaluations of GPA that reflect what's true for most.

Make sure you have recs lined up for all the groups on your future campus that mention how difficult your high school is.

Listen Juniyah, your thread is rapidly turning into a train wreck. If you honestly want more advice about sorority recruitment via GreekChat, I think you'd be best served to quit fueling the college vs. HS debate. People are starting to get annoyed. It's a really pointless debate and you're only pissing people off who are actually in college or are college graduates.

I'm not fueling any debate, everyone is taking this way to far and being really bitchy about everything. This thread was perfectly fine until everyone started being really rude and actually made it into a debate (when it wasn't supposed to be).

juniyah, no one is trying to be bitchy. people are just put off by your attitude about college. it is uncalled for to call otw an idiot. i am not saying that i know exactly what went on between you two. i just dont see how it was necessary. quite frankly, i think that this thread is kind of pointless. yes i understand that you are scared of rushing. we were all nervous before recruitment. it is just the attitude that you have that is getting under everyone's skin. like everyone has already said, just relax and look at the countless recruitment threads here. there is a huge chance that you will get all of your questions answered.

how is it my fault that all of you are annoyed? i asked a question and i wanted an answer, not bitchy comments from bitchy people who THNK that they're right and know everything...which they obviously don't.

OWT...you're an idoit (her words not mine)!!!!;)

OWT what is the score now?

Juniyah, your problem here is that although you know more about your high school than we do, we know a LOT more about college than you. And until you've been in both, you can't compare them.

And if you don't want people to be bitchy, don't be a bitch right back at them. It doesn't help.
