Some BIG awards news from our chapters (from FB):
Epsilon Rho at Minnesota State (Mankato) was named Chapter of the Year! Epsilon Tau at St. Leo University was named Oustanding Sorority of the Year! Eta Upsilon (Lynchburg College) was awarded Best New Member Programming as well as Chapter of the Year! Delta Theta at UNC-Pembroke was awarded the Commitment to the Community Award! Delta Psi (St. Joe's University) was awarded Chapter of the Year as well as President of the Year and New Member of the Year. Congratulations to everyone! |

Gamma Psi chapter at Morehead State University won Greek Week 2010! Zeta Psi (College of NJ) chapter's President was named Oustanding Sorority President 2010. Beta Alpha (Northern Illinois) was named Chapter of the Year and was also the only chapter to be named a 4 Star Chapter on campus this year. Their Recruitment Advisor was also named Advisor of the Year. Alpha Chi (Murray State) chapter was awarded the Best Sisterhood and Outstanding Community Service awards for the year! A chapter member was also named Ideal Greek Woman 2010! |

Eta Phi has been doing great, winning awards left and right! They're close to being at TOTAL and have voted in CPC to extend that number to 50, which they'll reach by Spring semester.

Gamma Pi (Nicholls State) won Homecoming!
In addition, a sister was named 2010 Homecoming Queen! Four other sisters were part of the Homecoming Court as well! Zeta Theta (Idaho State) also won Homecoming 2010 on their campus! |

Alpha Pi (Clarion University) is taking the lead along with Clarion University Alumni, family, friends and the other Clarion University sororities to raise over $2100.00 and purchase over 120 new winter coats for Operation Warm in Clarion County. On December 9, 2010 the last of the coats were delivered to Clarion-Limestone Elementary School. The coats from Operation Warm are a tremendous help in meeting the needs of families in Clarion County. This is a true community effort as students and alumni from Clarion University raised the funds to purchase and deliver Operation Warm winter coats to Clarion County children. |
Greek Life blog The Odyssey recently did a nice story on our Delta Delta (UNC-Chapel Hill) chapter's annual Professor Dinner. The event invites professors over to the sorority house for dinner and an opportunity to get to know the chapter members outside of classes.
In addition, Alpha Beta (Kent State) is Accredited with Honors this year! I haven't heard of many other Accred. statuses but congrats to everyone named Accredited or Accredited with Honors recently! I'll add more if I hear of them. |

An Eta Chi chapter senior was tapped for the Mizzou 39 award. Awarded by the Mizzou Alumni Association, the Mizzou 39 award is presented to 39 seniors who have excelled in the areas of high academic achievement, leadership and service to the university.
An Eta Chi freshman was also selected as one of Omicron Delta Kappa's Top 14 freshmen at Mizzou. |

Not only was Zeta Kappa named Greek Organization of the Year, but one of its members was named Greek Woman of the Year. :)

Brittany Sullivan (Theta Alpha) is this year's Miss Triad NC USA.
She will compete at Miss North Carolina USA in November! This is very exciting for NC Sigmas as there is the possibility of having a Sigma sister compete in Miss USA if she advances! |
An Alpha Beta chapter sister has partnered with another university student to found a chapter of To Write Love on Her Arms at KSU (an organization aimed at raising awareness of depression on college campuses.)

My chapter is initiating 17 amazing women on this Sunday, which is a HUGE deal at my small town school :) We just elected our E board all of which are ladies from my pledge class. We continue to have the highest GPA out of Greek's on campus and have won best house award the past four years <3 Beta Pi Chapter
