MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. - Rap megastar Eminem and his high school sweetheart divorced for a second time Tuesday, less than a year after they remarried.

Eminem and Kim Mathers agreed to divide property under terms of a private settlement and to share custody of their 10-year-old daughter, Hailie Jade Scott. They told a judge they understood the divorce was final.

The couple "conducted themselves with dignity and respect," Circuit Judge Antonio P. Viviano said. "All in all, they are a very fine couple to deal with."

Eminem, 34, declined to comment after the brief hearing as two men whisked him into a black Cadillac Escalade. Mathers, 31, did not speak to reporters.

Eminem and Mathers remarried Jan. 14. He filed for divorce April 5. They first married in 1999 in a secret ceremony in Missouri, and divorced in 2001.

Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, has won nine Grammy Awards, including best rap album, for "The Slim Shady LP," "The Marshall Mathers LP" and "The Eminem Show." He won an Oscar for the song "Lose Yourself" from "8 Mile," the semi-autobiographical 2002 film in which he starred.

I mean once she heard any of his songs ever she must have known it wasn't going to work.

The movie Dreamgirls is finally here! Now you can be the judge. Is the movie based on the 1982 Broadway musical worth all the hype? Dreamgirls the movie stars Jamie Foxx, Beyonce Knowles, Eddie Murphy, Jennifer Hudson, Danny Glover and Anika Noni Rose. The original Broadway production starred Sheryl Lee Ralph, Jennifer Holliday and Loretta Devine. The Broadway musical went on to win many awards, including a Tony for Best Musical. It made stars out of Ralph and Jennifer Holliday. The movie is already nominated for seven awards by the Broadcast Film Critics. The nominations include Best Acting Ensemble, Best Supporting Actor (Eddie Murphy) and Best Supporting Actress (Jennifer Hudson). It’s also going to be a dreamy night at The 64th Annual Golden Globe Awards. The movie has been nominated for Best Musical/Comedy. Jennifer Hudson has been nominated for Best Supporting Actress and Eddie Murphy for Best Supporting Actor. Beyonce got two nods, one for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy and for the song Listen. The awards air January 15th on NBC. In other Golden Globe news, Will Smith has been nominated for his work in the movie The Pursuit of Happyness, and Mary J. The reality TV bug has hit “The Mighty O.” She is currently preparing two reality shows for the network. Oprah’s Big Give is about ten people who are given money and resources to help others. The other show is Your Money Or Your Life. It’s a show about different family problems. Every week Oprah is doing something, and now noted trash Biographer Kitty Kelley is looking for some dirt. Kelley has written scandalous bios on Elizabeth Taylor, Frank Sinatra, and Former First Ladies Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis (Jackie O) and Nancy Reagan. Kelley’s book on Oprah is due out in 2008.

Actor Taye Diggs is suffering from foot in mouth disease. Diggs has some explaining to do after a recent interview with Rolling Out magazine. Diggs career is in the toilet. In the past year, he has had two failed TV shows, UPN’s Kevin Hill and ABC’s Daybreak. Diggs career started out on a high note with Broadway’s Rent, then the movies How Stella Got Her Groove Back with Angela Bassett; The Best Man with Nia Long; and Brown Sugar with Sanaa Lathan. Diggs is married to Broadway Star Idina Menzel. Menzel is White, and they have been married for a while. In the interview with Rolling Out magazine, Diggs got upset when he was asked about his wife. Diggs said he felt offended by the question. He stated if people have a problem with him being married to a White woman, then they should go see a movie with Omar Epps, Denzel Washington, or some of the brothers who have chosen to spend the rest of their lives with the Sisters (OUCH!) Does this man care about his career? Where was his publicist to shut him up? He may have been upset about the line of questioning, and he may be tired of defending his decision to marry a White woman. But, you don’t make a statement like that. Does Diggs have a problem with the Sisters? Is he about to join Wesley Snipes in the What Happened to My Career?! category.

Actress Maia Campbell needs help. The former co-star of In the House has resorted to posing nude to support her drug habit. Campbell is the daughter of the late Author BeBe Moore Campbell. The celebrated author died a few weeks ago. Despite her mother and her success, Maia Campbell is a troubled young woman. The nude photos which have surfaced on the internet are stank nasty. Will her family be able to help her before she kills herself?

Before his untimely death, Singer Gerald Levert was working on a book with his dad, Eddie Levert. The book, entitled I Got Your Back, is coming out on June 12th. The book will detail the special bond they shared as African American men, father and son, Brothers and best friends. A new album of Gerald’s work is also coming out in February. In other Gerald Levert news, Singer Keith Sweat has recorded a song in memory of his late friend. The song, My Friend, was recorded by Sweat right after Gerald’s memorial service in Cleveland. One of the highlights of Gerald’s career was recording with Keith Sweat and Johnny Gill as part of the group LSG. Singer Kandie Burress, a former girlfriend of Gerald’s, has also recorded a song for her former love. Burress is a former member of the group Xscape, and she is a Grammy award-winning songwriter. Burress has recorded the song It’s You.

The Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin is planning a musical production based on her life. The material will be taken from her 1999 autobiography, From These Roots.

Actress Victoria Rowell has played the role of “Drucilla” on the soap opera The Young and The Restless for the past 13 years, but the role she is most proud to pay is that of author. Rowell’s latest book is called The Women Who Raised Me, which details her life being raised by foster parents.

A February 7th court date has been set for Nicole Richie. Richie was arrested last week for driving under the influence and driving the wrong way on the California freeway. Lionel Richie has hired a high powered attorney for his daughter, and she is willing to accept responsibility for her actions. Richie has been getting advice from many of her celebrity friends, including Quincy Jones, who is her godfather, and Actress Vivica A. Fox.

Tyler Perry’s latest movie, Daddy’s Little Girl, opens in theatres on February 14th (Valentine’s Day). The movie is a love story about a blue collar worker with three daughters who falls in love with a rich, high powered attorney. The movie stars Gabrielle Union, Idris Elba and Louis Gossett, Jr. The soundtrack to the movie comes out next month, and it features songs by Brian McKnight, Beyonce, R Kelly, Anthony Hamilton, Yolanda Adams, Musiq and, for the first time ever, The Houston Family (Whitney, Cissy and Dionne Warwick).

Smokey Robinson, Country Star Dolly Parton and Director Steven Spielberg are among those being celebrated with The Kennedy Center Honors. The show airs on December 26th on CBS.

Actor Mike Evans has died. Evans first played “Lionel Jefferson” on the 70’s Norman Lear TV classic All In The Family and then on the hit spinoff The Jeffersons. He also co-created another Norman Lear classic, Good Times.

Singer Walter Ward has also died. He was the lead singer of the group The Olympics. The Olympics were best known for their hit Mine Exclusively.

Comedian Katt Williams has pleaded no contest to gun charges. A few weeks ago, the 35-year old Actor/Comedian tried to board a plane with a gun. Williams will have to pay restitution, and he now has three years probation.

The life story of Rick James is coming to the big screen. Filming should start next summer. There’s no word on who will play Rick James, or his protégé, Teena Marie.

Another big screen life story is that of Richard Pryor. The movie will be based on the memoir written by his daughter, Rain Pryor. Mike Epps will star as the comic genius.

American Idol returns to Fox on January 16th. Sources say a midseason shocker is expected to happen. What will be the Idol shocker?

Singer Angela Bofill continues to make progress following a stroke she suffered earlier this year. In January, the singer was felled by a stroke that left her paralyzed on her left side. Bofill didn’t have any medical insurance. She has been undergoing rehab, and she is learning to talk again.

Actress Kim Fields (“Tootie” on The Facts of Life and “Regine” on Living Single) is expecting her first child. The 37-year old actress has been dating Broadway Actor Christopher Morgan, and she says they are excited about their first child.

Star Jones-Reynolds says she’s a changed woman. Back in June, Jones-Reynolds abruptly left the TV show, The View. She left because she knew she was being fired. Jones-Reynolds says she is learning from her mistakes. She admits she enjoyed celebrity more than she should have. She says she believed the hype. Jones-Reynolds is currently putting together a show for TV One and doing work as a radio talk show host.

Former American Idol Winner Ruben Studdard has lost close to 100 pounds through diet and exercise, and now the 28-year old velvet teddy bear wants the state of Alabama to lose weight with him. Alabama is his home state, and he wants the state to lose 10 million pounds. He’s urging the 25 percent of people who are overweight in Alabama to lose 10 pounds each.

Patti LaBelle has the number one gospel album in the country, The Gospel According to Patti LaBelle. She’s happy with the success of the album, but she’s disappointed she had to cancel her church tour. LaBelle said the concert promoters made a lot of false promises, and she couldn’t afford to mess up her reputation with other people’s foolishness.

The daughter would end up playing a role that was overshadowed by a supporting character. In the end, the supporting character and lesser known singer would win all the critical and popular praise. When the parents realized their precious daughter was being overshadowed, they tried to get the movie re-edited. This was their daughter’s chance at winning an Oscar, and now it was all being ruined by the lesser known Singer. The parents are also having problems with their youngest daughter, who has been pushed aside as they push the oldest child’s career. The younger daughter has been acting out and hanging with rappers. She’s not even 19, but she is already a divorcee with a young child.(The Knowles')

The Original Lionel Jefferson of The Jeffersons dies
 

Mike Evans, 57, an actor best known for his role as Lionel Jefferson in the TV sitcoms "All in the Family" and "The Jeffersons," died of throat cancer Dec. 14 at his mother's home in Twentynine Palms, his niece Dr. Chrystal Evans said.

With writing partner Eric Monte, Evans went on to create and write for "Good Times," one of the first TV sitcoms that featured a primarily African American cast.



Michael Jonas Evans was born Nov. 3, 1949, in Salisbury, N.C., to a dentist father, Theodore Evans Sr., and his schoolteacher wife, Annie Sue Evans.

The family moved to Los Angeles when Mike was a child. He graduated from Los Angeles High School and studied acting at Los Angeles City College before landing the role of Lionel Jefferson in Norman Lear's iconic 1970s situation comedy "All in the Family."

Evans kept the role of Lionel when "The Jeffersons" was launched in 1975 as a spinoff featuring bigoted Archie Bunker's black neighbors in Queens who "move on up to the East Side" of Manhattan and an upscale life.

Evans was replaced by Damon Evans (no relation) for four years, then he returned to the series from 1979 to 1981.

He also acted in the 1976 TV miniseries "Rich Man, Poor Man" and made guest appearances on the TV series "Love, American Style" and "The Streets of San Francisco." His last role was in a 2000 episode of "Walker, Texas Ranger."

In recent years he had invested in real estate in the Inland Empire.

ATLANTA, Georgia (CNN) -- James Brown, the legendary R&B belter, a singer and songwriter who created a foundation for funk and provided the roots of rap, a man of many nicknames but a talent that can only be described as one of a kind, is dead.

Brown died early Monday at Atlanta's Emory Crawford Long Hospital of congestive heart failure, his agent said. He was 73.

Brown was in Atlanta for a dental appointment when he fell ill and was admitted to the hospital over the weekend for treatment of "severe pneumonia," said his agent, Frank Copsidas.

"It appears what happened is that he did die of a heart attack as a result of his pneumonia," Copsidas told CNN Radio.

Where was his wife? Tomi Rae Hyne, the 36-year old mother of his five-year old son, was not with Brown. She has been in his life for the past ten years, but at the end she was not with him. Hyne claimed she was Brown’s wife, but she wasn’t. Brown never got over the embarrassment of finding out the woman he thought he married was already married to another man. Hyne did divorce her first hubby, but when she and Brown remarried, it was not legal. So, she is not his wife. According to attorneys for Brown’s estate, Hyne was just a guest in his house, and she has a house down the street. The Brown Family has waited a long time to get rid of Hyne, and now they have. She has been barred from the Georgia home. Hyne claims she has no money and nowhere to go. The fight is on the estate of James Brown, who leaves behind two daughters and another son. An older son, Teddy, died several years ago. Hynes does have an ace in the hole with her five-year old son. But, she is not Brown’s legal wife, and she has no claims to his money. Hopefully, whoever is in charge won’t punish the young child because of the mistakes of the mother. James Brown was undoubtedly the most influential performer on the music scene. Funk, Soul, Disco, Hip Hop, they all owe a great debt to the Godfather of Soul. Despite his enormous success, he led a wild life that included stints in jail, drug abuse, family feuds and domestic violence. When his life story comes to the big screen, it will be a fascinating tale of the greatest showman in music history.

Despite the fact that he publicly dumped her while she is pregnant, Mel B wants Eddie Murphy back. Sources say the former Spice Girl has turned to voodoo to woo Murphy back to her. Apparently, Mel is willing to forgive Murphy for the public humiliation. She just wants her man back. Mel B has had meetings with a voodoo priestess and she has been drinking concoctions hoping he will return to her. She has also been rubbing cigars into her arm, and stuffing her underwear along with his in a jar. Maybe this is the reason they call her Scary Spice! Mel B is at the end of her rope, and she doesn’t want to raise another child alone. She already has a seven-year old daughter. Mel B believes she is perfect for Eddie Murphy, but he is easily influenced by his friends who want to drink and get high all day. Murphy feels betrayed by Mel B, and he doesn’t believe that the child she is carrying is his. Mel B says she got pregnant by Murphy the first time they slept together. Why would a man who already has six kids sleep with a woman for the first time with no protection?!! Murphy says he doesn’t believe the child could be his because he has proof that Mel was also seeing another man. He wants a DNA test. If the baby turns out to be his, it could cost Murphy between $15- 30 million. That’s no voodoo. That’s a payday for Mel B!

JB's death happened so fast the children may have not had the time to get to him, but I understand what you're saying. He was admitted Saturday evening and by early Monday morning he was gone. The children might have been there and had left by the time it happened. They probaby also felt that his condition wasn't that serious. Also, why weren't more stars at his funeral (for those who saw it on CNN and BET)? :confused:

Happy New Year! Welcome to 2007 and another exciting year of the 4-1-1, and remember, if you miss a week, please go to our archives and check us out.

The Godfather of Soul may be dead, but the band will play on. The James Brown Band consists of eleven members: three guitarists, two bass players, two drummers, three horn players and a percussionist. The band members say they are carrying out Brown’s wishes, which stated the show must go on. They will all take part in sharing singing duties. On the family front, Brown’s daughters, Yamma and Deanna, are taking charge of The James Brown Estate. Move over Tomi Rae Hynie! She’s the woman who claimed to be Brown’s wife, but has been proven to be a fraud. She was never married to Brown because she was already married to another man. Tomi Rae has been pleading with the family to accept her, but her pleas have fallen on deaf ears. Financial arrangements will be made for her five-year son, James Brown, Jr. The family has made it clear: Tomi Rae! You are not a Brown, and you are not welcome here! Tomi Rae is devastated, and friends fear she will fall back into the trap of addiction. At the time of Brown’s death, she was finishing up rehab for an addiction to prescription drugs. What is next for the woman who believed she was Mrs. James Brown? The Brown Children feel Tomi Rae embarrassed and humiliated their dad in his later years. They claim she knew she was married to someone else when she took vows with their father, but all she saw was dollars signs and took advantage of Brown. The Brown children have vowed to keep Tomi Rae out of The James Brown Estate.

The King of Pop Michael Jackson paid homage to James Brown at his funeral. Jackson said Brown was his greatest inspiration as a child. The crowd went wild when Jackson appeared at the funeral. After spending time overseas, Jackson has returned to the U.S. Word has it he’s planning to do a Las Vegas style show in the near future. Since his 2005 acquittal on child molestation charges, Jackson has been estranged from his family, even his mom, Katherine. A lot of people are blaming the estrangement on the nanny, Grace Rwarmba. Nanny Grace is Michael’s point person, his personal manager and advisor. Neither he nor his three kids make a move without her. Now that he is back in the states, will he reunite with his family, his mom?

The Reverend Al Sharpton often referred to James Brown as a father figure in his life. Sharpton is often teased about his long processed hair. He said he wears it like that as a tribute to Brown, and he said he would cut his hair once the Godfather passed on. Well, Sharpton has changed his mind. He will not be cutting his hair. He says he will continue to wear it in this style as a tribute to the man who was like a father to him.

The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls is now officially open in South Africa. Winfrey brought along her Hollywood friends as she made the grand announcement in South Africa. On hand for the festivities were Sidney Poitier, Mariah Carey, Tina Turner, Mary J. Blige, Chris Tucker, Spike Lee, Chris Rock and his wife Malaak, best friend Gayle King and Nelson Mandela. Oprah spent over $40 million to build the academy, which has been five years in the making. The 28 building complex will house young teen women in South Africa. Oprah says this academy is the fulfillment of her work on earth. Oprah is planning to build another school in South Africa. This one will be for boys and girls. Despite her good deeds, Oprah has been criticized for building the school outside of the United States. For the record, Oprah has given millions of dollars to educate needy children in the U.S. through The Oprah Winfrey Scholars Program. In a recent interview with Newsweek magazine, Oprah revealed that the young girls in South Africa were really grateful for the opportunity to learn. They wanted more than just sneakers, I pods and clothes. They knew they needed a good education to succeed. She says inner city kids don’t appreciate the value of a free education, and that’s why she went to Africa.

Juanita Jordan is living life as a single woman. After 17 years, it’s over between Michael and Juanita Jordan. Their three children are teenagers, and now, Juanita is ready to carve out a life that is free from cheating and stress. For years, Juanita Jordan put up with her husband’s cheating, the groupies, the lying and the gambling. In 2002, she filed for divorce, but Michael convinced her to give him another chance. Well, the cheating continued, and Juanita realized the man she loved was not going to change. The basketball great loved fooling around, and they decided last year to end it once and for all. Friends say she is looking to start a career in real estate, and she’s been using her maiden name, Vanoy.

Friends and family of Whitney Houston are working overtime to keep Whitney away from estranged hubby Bobby Brown. Bobby has been trying to get to Whitney via their daughter, Bobbi Kris. Bobby is angry that he no longer has a hold on Whitney. Whitney is making an effort to turn her life around, and she realizes that she can only do it if Bobby isn’t around. Whitney was devastated when she found out that Bobby had been unfaithful to her. Plus, she feels Bobby’s family used and betrayed her. Bobby needs Whitney. His life is a mess without her. He doesn’t have any money or a job, and his career is in shambles.

Lou Rawls, Junior is suing Marvin Gaye, The Third. Lou, Jr. claims he was attacked by dogs owned by Marvin, III. He is seeking an unspecified amount of money to cover his stress and hospital costs.

Has Tyra Banks filmed a sex video? Spokespeople for the Supermodel/Talk Show Host have not commented on published reports that Banks is starring in a home made sex movie. The tape features a man with an Italian accent seducing a woman who looks and sounds like Tyra. Is it Tyra?

Former Heavyweight Boxer Mike Tyson admits he’s a coke addict, and he needs help. Last week, Tyson was arrested in Scottsdale, Arizona for driving under the influence. Cops stopped Tyson after he almost ran over a Sheriff with his car. Tyson was leaving a nightclub when the trouble started. When the cops arrested him, he admitted he was doing cocaine and he said he needs help. Tyson is no stranger to rehab. Last year, he entered a rehab program, but he stayed less than a week.

Queen Latifah will be hosting The People’s Choice Awards, January 9th on CBS. Queen Latifah has been putting on a brave face despite published reports of a rocky relationship with Fear Factor Winner Jeannette Jenkins. Latifah and Jenkins are very close, but there have been reports of the two fighting. Queen Latifah has always stated she doesn’t care what people think of her sexuality, but she’s never admitted that she is a lesbian.

Tiger Woods and his wife, Elin Nordegren, are expecting their first child this summer.

The new Gerald Levert CD, In My Songs, arrives in stores February 13th.

Prince is the half time performer at this year’s Superbowl. The big game is February 4th. Prince is scheduled to a tribute to James Brown during the show. Prince will also be showcasing his talents as a photographer as he enters into the magazine business. The magazine, called 3121, will feature interviews with musicians and exclusive photos taken by Prince.

The complete first season of Martin is available on DVD. The set features outtakes, bloopers and never before seen footage of Martin Lawrence and the cast.

The 1976 classic Sparkle is also coming out on DVD. The movie starred Irene Cara, Lonette McKee and Phillip Michael Thomas. The DVD comes out on the 9th.

The latest Samuel L. Jackson movie, Snakes On A Plane, is out on DVD.

At the movies this week, it’s Cedric The Entertainer in the comedy, Code Name- The Cleaner. Lucy Lui co-stars.

Mariah Carey has a March date with Playboy magazine. She won’t be nude, but she is appearing on the cover.

The latest David E. Talbert stage musical, Love In The Nick of Tyme, is coming to Trenton, New Jersey. The musical stars Morris Chestnut, Singer Trenyce (American Idol) and Singer Avant. The musical is happening January 30-31st at the Patriots Theatre War Memorial. Singer Vivian Green is doing the music.

The Flavor of Love spinoff, I Love New York starring Tiffany Patterson, premieres January 8th on VH1. New York (Patterson) and her mom get to choose from over 20 men as New York searches for love. New York deserves this show after getting turned down twice from Flavor Flav.

Jill Scott has a new album coming out this summer. The CD will be called The Real Thing.

Actor Russell Hornsby is heading up the cast to the ABC Family Channel series, Lincoln Heights. The show premieres January 8th at 8pm.

American Idol returns to Fox on January 16th. Sources say a midseason shocker is expected to happen. What will be the Idol shocker?

“Jack Bauer” returns with 24 on Fox on January 14th. Regina King joins Kiefer Sutherland for the new season.

did anyone catch this article? it came out in a late December, 2006 issue. i've not seen anyone discuss it. it really made BC look criminal, shall we say, and his wife a bit pathetic as well. the article states that BC has drugged and molested women for years. several of these women were paid off, some of those even had long-standing relationships w/him. a woman stated that she never went to the authorities b/c she felt no one would believe her over someone as wealthy as Bill Cosby. as for Camille Cosby, i say pathetic b/c i can't imagine hearing these things about my husband and staying by his side for all these years. cheating is bad enough to tolerate but (assuming the allegations are true) predatory behavior?:confused:
now, of course these are allegations by a bunch of women (at least five) so we don't know for sure. but this article was in People and not the Globe, for ex.

I read that article last month, and was like whoa toward Camille as well....on the real..I think BC did it all that they are saying. I know exactly where the house is located in my part of town, and trust me when I say you can see anything from the road.
