Not exactly sex ed but I'm almost certain she got it from being a kissing whore.

Nope - Colie is teaching the world about mono. Jen is teaching opposite Alex in a class called "man whores - how to find them" - part 2 of her series is "How to jump into bed with your roomie less than 24 hours after meeting him, and knowing that he's already been in bed with another roomie" -- should be quite interesting.

Brooke is teaching "Whiny Bitch 101"
Davis is teaching "Who Am I Really [because I sure the hell don't know]"
Ty is teaching "Multiple Personalities & How to Remember Who is Who"
Stephen is teaching "How to Sit Back & Watch the Action"
Colie (as soon as she recovers) is teaching "How to Stalk Someone You Just Met"

valkyrie 01-03-2007 12:49 AM

I'm REALLY bummed that I didn't meet any of these people when they were here. I think I'll go hang out at Monarck tonight and pine for what might have been.

Thanks. This cast is so underwhelming that I struggle to remember their names.

I'm with you on that - I just knew it cause I had it on re-runs :D I'm an MTV junkie - the TV pretty much stays on MTV during the day.

Remind me again of WHY they were congratulating Brooke for her little pity party in the woods last night? They kept saying it was so brave for her do something like that - um hello, you should get points taken away for being a whiny brat. And besides that, they are all in safety harnesses -- not like she could have fallen to her death or something

Oh man she was out of control with the screaming and horrifying faces she was making. OMG screaming and being a freak isn't going to make the water warmer, you stupid, stupid girl -- although I did love whatever she said about not being able to look at herself for five days OMGENDOFTHEWORLD. Also, I liked the previews for the next episode, which involves her "wiping herself in the middle of camp." OMG was she raised by wolves (NO OFFENSE TO WOLVES).

Also, I want to give her and especially Jenn a makeunder. Jenn's eyebrows are NEVER OKAY and seriously, just chill on the eye makeup, okay?

Our kitchen & living room are side-by-side so I was on the wall side of the kitchen working on my scrapbook (the same wall that the TV sits on in the LR) - DH was in there and I finally said "who the hell is giving birth on RW?" He laughed & said that she sounded worse than I did in my labor (LOL - I slept through my labor) -- it was the most awful noise.

I missed the part of wiping herself in camp - what happened?

I will also gladly help PAY for the makeunder for those two :D

That was just a preview for next week. The guy from Outward Bound asked her what she was doing. Pretty much they made it seem like she could get fired, but I don't know if anyone's ever been fired while "working" on the Real World.

Yes, remember Montana from Boston (?) was fired for giving the kids wine at an event...LOL

That was the funniest thing because she was so dumb for doing it.

There have been other seasons where the cast and cast members threatened to be fired. I liked it better when they didn't have the same job and being a cast member was just like having a room mate who you saw when you got home for work (like they did it in Season 1). That's the REAL WORLD.

I agree. MTV just wants to create as much drama as possible though.

Totally agree!

I also think that they go out of their way to find alcoholics or "alcoholics in training." I enjoyed RW more when it had a better mix of people.

I especially liked the New Orleans cast -- particularly watching the transformation of Julie-- the girl who was brought up in a strict Church of Latter Day Saints upbringing.

Watching sloppy drunks make fools of themselves doesn't interest me.

HAHA...it totally interests me, but I agree that some of the other casts had some more depth to them.

Yeah the first few seasons dealt with REAL issues because people didn't completely quit their lives to join the cast. Not saying these newer casts don't have family issues and so forth. It just used to be about so much more than who's a racist, who's gay, who's a kissing whore, who's an alcoholic, etc.

But that's also when RW and MTV had an older demographic of viewers. MTV's shows have changed to reach a different viewership. I miss being able to catch the first few seasons of RW on syndication. They used to come on Fox in the afternoon a few years ago.

It will never be the Real World it was in the first few years. Nothing is more real than Puck or Pedro and everything those shows. I almost wish another station like Lifetime would have a Real Life or something and bring back the days of Heather B, Julie, Pedro, and all the others members that I miss and actually LEARNED from.

They were less manufactured. They were great.

Puck was one of the original assholes and he was gross. He's married with kids and stuff now.

This year's cast is a little lack luster. But I'm convinced that Stephen (I hope that's the black guy that's not Tyrie) is gay. Why does Brooke have boy shorts on to go hiking on the next episode? "I thought they looked like shorts" That's classic

Tyrie.....sigh......mmm mmm mmm

Yes, Stephen is latently gay. I think that's why he's so against homosexuality.

AXO Alum 01-11-2007 11:41 AM

woo-hoo -- another 30 minute pity party for Brooke. boo

Yeah well she's prissy and seems to be very sheltered. I had faith in her in the beginning but obviously she's used to getting things her way and doesn't seem to have any skills in dealing with authority. It had to be awkward for the Outward Bound Instructor to call her out on "wiping herself" in the middle of camp...take a darn flashlight and walk a couple of yards. No one wants to see that. Oh and about her getting lost and not being able to find the nail place...ever heard of mapquest? public transportation? an actual map?

geez...

What's NOT going on with her? She is absolutely horrible. She couldn't rappel down the mountain (boo hoo hoo), she couldn't wear her boy shorts UNDERWEAR to hike in, she couldn't wash dishes (heaven forbid), she couldn't poop in the woods, she had to use a handy wipe to clean her vagina (she said it - right there on camera) & decided the best place to do so was right in the middle of the tents where her boss saw her & had to come discuss her professionalism with her (to which she said on camera that he was RUDE to point that out to her) -- he tried to tell her that she would be doing this with TEENAGERS and that she needed to be professional. She said something to the effect that she "knows" better when other people are around, but apparently, from the sound of it, she didn't care much about how the people she was with at the time felt about it.

Then when they got home, she fell out on the floor kicking around and acting the fool. Finally Alex called her out on her behavior & I thought for like .258 seconds she was going to pull the "depression/anxiety/meds" card, but she didn't (at least not what we saw). Sooo - that about wraps up the 30 minute show.

Oh - Colie couldn't go on the hike since her boss felt it would be too much on her recovery from mono, so she stayed at the camp with "Adam" another counselor. You didn't see anything on camera, but on the way home, she told the people in the car that they cuddled & that she gave him her number. She also said that she told him that if he didn't call her, she would definitely find him  -- So, Colie is going to proceed with her class on "How to stalk a guy you just met" and we should be getting all the lessons from her in the following weeks.

/recap

So Stephen plays a kissing game in the pool AFTER getting off the phone with his girlfriend. Who he hasn't spoken to in 5 days.

He says he doesn't feel bad for kissing the girls because it's not cheating--it's a kissing game.

AXO Alum 01-25-2007 10:23 AM

First off, that show yesterday was zzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZzzzzzzzZZZzzzzzzz

If that is what the "real world" is like, then I'm glad I don't live in it

Mr. AXO was laughing at Brooke & the heels with the leg brace. She is SO full of it - I really wish they would kick her off just for being stupid.

And I hope that the roommates now sitting wherever they are in the world watching these air are all fired up at the 3 losers for going back to the house for no reason other than they think they are above going to work. I don't mind the outdoors thing, but no, I don't make it a point to go hike/camp/etc for days and days. But if my job said to go, especially if this was televised for the world to see, then you bet I'd be there. I wonder if Stephen just wanted some extra time to be with Davis

valkyrie 02-01-2007 02:40 AM

That stupid whore went to my hair salon. Gross.

RoyalEmpress33 02-01-2007 11:10 AM

I didn't see the episode from last night but this season seems okay. I like this one the most out of last few, but Brooke is extremely irritating. It seems like she's always complaining about something and she has some psychological issues that need to be worked on. I hope she get's kicked off, though I doubt it'll happen. I've never met anyone that had a problem with EVERYTHING. Everyone else on the cast is cool, but Colie is my favorite. She seems to be the one in the house with the most sense.

Oooooh that Miami episode with the shower incident is still one of my favorite episodes of the RW, just for the part when Flora tries to crawl in the tiny bathroom window and her boobs break the window.

The RW used to be such a good show. Just take a look at the difference in the people from that first link to the one that's from the "back to NY" season. Total difference in intelligence and maturity.

They started going for more sex appeal and less "real". I think the first season was far more interesting than the last few seasons. It was the cast moving to a new area and having to find their own jobs, own cars... it was their own lives. I wish it'd go back to that. Unfortunately America is so sex driven that I'm not sure RW1 would survive 2007.
