Fun Fact: Last time I checked, this wasn't a forum for sorority recruiting. And last time I checked, I'm pretty sure sorority HQs wouldn't appreciate somebody, ESPECIALLY someone who is NOT one of their members, to try to recruit people and help people AI on an internet board, even when they haven't met the person in real life. So stop trying to make yourself sound like the most innocent person on here. You've already been proven to be pretty guilty, and you're going against many NPC sorority sisters' wishes. Do yourself a favor and just stop posting. |

*alarm* My dear, first of all, you put me in the wrong category already. I'm a PNAI, not an AI.....if you can't distinguish that, or if your stalking skills are not high enough, then please stop playing detective. Also, mind you, you are violating us. Yes, you can easily search through the forms and see what we have said (and hence that's why I didn't ask to delete my original post but remain silent on this issue). But what we're talking about here is that you are singling us out and trying to play the blame game saying "Hey, you guys are AI and suppose to be on my side!!" Sorry dear, we WISHED we could be on your side, but the truth is, through your actions, you were in some way disgusted a good amount of people here. It's more towards your actions my dear, not to general AIs. So until you see the damage you have caused here, step back and look around you. I assume you're an AI and in a sorority already. So why not do something for your sorority and stop lurking around on the forums playing police? Do something GOOD for your org and stop making a bad name for yourself for CAT'S SAKE!! add: and to be honest, just to touch on my current situation, I'm not actively pursuing AI at the moment because I want to suceed in my career. And also realize there's so much more to life than AI...so yeah...I rest my case. The reason I still stay on the forums because it's fun :p To quote from an old tv episode on Borat: At some sort of animal protection rally in england: A " You should not kill pigs!!" B "Yeah, killing pigs is wrong!!" Borat " but we kill pigs" A "why do you kill pigs?!" Borat "because it's FUN!" |

8-11-2003, 01:28 PM SmartBlondeGPhB Moderator Advice to PNAMs from an involved alumna I (and others) have said this before but I feel it needs some extra emphasis and I would like to add one comment to all PNAM's. I can understand your hesitancy to reveal who you are pursuing to the whole board, however........... There are a number of us on this board who are very involved in our GLO's locally and internationally. If you are having trouble getting in touch with a certain GLO that you really desire, please contact us privately and let us help. We have quick and easy ways to get you the information you need without revealing any information about you. We can also contact the AC and inquire on your behalf and can be as discreet as you desire. I'm sure I echo the sentiments of others on the board, but I hate to see the PNAMs having so much trouble with simply making contact. |

cutie_cat_4ever Registered User Hi! I'm new here and was really excited to learn the opportunities for AI. I'm a recent graduate from a state school in a city that wasn't so huge on frats/sororities. In fact, we didn't even have houses for them, how sad! (That's because half of the school body were commuters, just like me) I'm transferred into this school when I was a junior and was totally new to the idea of sororities. I remember during orientation, there was a period where we get to meet some of the orgs and greeks on campus. I was approached by the one group, got interested and started the rush process. The only thing that sucked about commuter universities is that you always have to watch the time, if you need to take the train that is. And the rush process became really rough for me. To put the story short, I didn't receive a bid and later on learned from one of the ladies that the reason why I didn't get one was because I was a commuter and I needed to be able to commit lots of time into the sorority. After that, I was hesitant to rush again next semester fear of being rejected for the same reason. I ended up being involved as a Student Orientation leader, student ambassadors, professional societies in my major and a honor society. Despite being involved in school, trying to manage my grades, I also held two part time jobs outside. So I understand what their concern was. But at the end, for two years, I've been feeling something is missing in me. I always wanted to be a part of a sorority. When I found out that AI exists, I was so thrilled. I hope my age is not a problem (I'm only 23, though I look 17, hehe, I guess it's an asian thing) I'm thinking about going for a sorority that I know a few ladies there and they have a chapter at our school. They are really lovely ladies who work hard and being active in school while having a great time (I regretted for discovering late and not being able to rush. I was gonna go for my masters and prepare to rush for them, but plans changed because my school screwed up with my graduate assitantship...booo) And I will contact my friend for more details. =) I know this is a bit off subject. I *think* (please correct me if I'm wrong) is that there's no asian sororities in NPC, right? I was also trying to look into some asian sororities that have AI that I could also look into, but end up with nothing. (sorry that it isn't NPC related, but I was just curious) I hope with now having more time, I can do something that I always wanted to do and help to make a change to our society. And I'm always up for meeting new people and such. So I guess, that's my intro. I hope it's not too boring =) and it's nice to meet you all and kudos to those who created this board =) |

I just love how they go on and on about how EVERY PNAI is trying to achieve an unfulfilled college dream of joining a sorority, yet so many that bash in the AI forum are AI's themselves. I guess being an AI and then turning around and bashing AI's (while not telling othes that you were really an AI) is the NEW wave of the future! Gotta love those old posts when they first joined GC. |

Hey, wanted to let you know that they are running the old reruns of "Alf" on Nick at Nite! |
I've read a lot of what's gone on without posting...but I feel like it's time to put in my $.02:
While I ended up in the right house when I rushed, there was another house I thought I wanted more (and was dropped from there before prefs). While I was happy to accept my bid, I harbored a small feeling of want for that other chapter. On Bid Day they lined us up to go into the sorority suites--and in the line for that other chapter were some of the rudest, snottiest, and meanest girls I had met in college thus far (2 of whom lived on my freshman floor)...and in that moment I realized "Thank G-D they're not my sisters!". I feel that way now too--to post private information on a public board is the most below-the-belt tactic I've ever seen in order to get attention. If so many people on this board upset you, yes, you have the right to be here, but maybe this isn't the right place for you. Props to OTW, ariesrising, and the other girls for nicely putting you in your place--if you're really older than I am (and it seems so) then I surely expect more you--be a lady. And grow up. Realize that not everyone shares your opinion--and that's fine--you can have your own--but shoving it down people's throats in a wholly unacceptable way doesn't earn friend points. There's a reason you feel attacked--you're the one attacking--all people are doing is holding up a mirror and letting things bounce back. You're like that little bug that won't just lay down and die after being squashed--haven't you had enough yet? /end hijack and rant |

I wouldn't put everyone in the "lady' catagory when OTW's myspace reads like an advertisement for porn. You are right, I don't know these people, but in cases like OTW, a quick review of her myspace will tell the world she swallows. That's more info than I want to know about the majority of people in general. |

I am now officially taking bets on the following:
Are RTL and BA the same person or just butt buddies? Things to take into consideration: They know the same information, they exhibit the same behaviors, they both have their online green lights turned off. Odds will be based on how many people vote each way. Oh yeah, and the idea that someone can't change their mind based on new information (such as the crazy actions of a member of this forum) is inane. |
They do tend to frequent GC at the same time.
Also, neither one can keep up with a conversation and end up double/triple posting to respond to everyone, because they're not savvy enough to multi-quote (even though John specifically ADDED that feature, as to not have to do it manually anymore). |
