They are back on repeats!! So sad... no new crazy people to laugh at. :( However, they are now showing the episodes again with everyone's favorite Bridezilla Marsha! ;)

KSUViolet06 10-23-2006 08:09 PM

I love this show. I've watched it since season 1.

It amazes me how many of these couples are spending money that they DON'T HAVE.

Like the girl Regina who got married in a castle earlier this season, if you have to take out a second martgage to pay for your wedding, you can't afford it.

I love how Archie and Marsha were on Dr. Phil and Lisa the wedding planner totally put their business out about them not being able to afford to pay her.

With the show back on repeats now they are re-airing the ones with Marsha. My boyfriend likes this show too but her can't stand watching the ones with Marsha. And that Regina chick was just awful!

To be Archie's sister, she sure as heck never stood up for him!! She threw him under the bus.....

Yeah she was a nutjob - her hubby is a retired MLB player so I'm sure they could totally afford everything.

I think she spent the crap out of his money b/c while she was getting custom this, custom that he got his wedding tux from Mens Warehouse. Not to diss on that store but her dress was custom. He should at least have been able to get a custom Armani! But instead he gets Mens Warehouse???

RU OX Alum 10-25-2006 09:35 AM

they probably agreed to pick out for themselves what to wear, to not fight about it...he picked men's warehouse

He put himself in front of the bus. He's a GROWN man. He should be able to stand up for himself. Based on the way Marsha was talking to him and by his responses, in my opinion, this man has no self worth or self esteem.. Total pushover. Did you listen to the manner in which she spoke and yelled at him? Not to advocate violence but she would have had a FOOT up in her A**. People argue, disagree..thats part of a healthy relationship but she took it to another level. It was also how she spoke to other people. To me this woman has control issues (as a lot of the women on this program do) I liked Lisa. She spoke up and put Marsha in her place.

The other one I thought was hysterical was the trailer trash 29 year old mom of 3. I laughed when the venue owner didnt let her use the place for the rehersal dinner.

One of my other faves was Antonella the hair dresser from Jersey.

Oh I totally agree Archie's got some issues to let her talk to him like that all the time. I'm just shocked that his sister didn't really stand up for him.

And Antonella is my FAVORITE!!! :D I always thought of her as more high-strung and not really a true bridezilla.

hannahgirl 10-25-2006 10:18 PM

I am now officially addicted to this show!!!! Help! :p

GeekyPenguin 10-25-2006 11:52 PM

My favorite is the one who threatens to kill her new MIL.

I felt bad for the one whose flower vendor didn't show up - Dawn? I would go CRAZY if that happened.

I think her name was Melaina. She was a real bitch. Her groom was really quiet too and he just LET her say this stuff.

This is the same one who got royally pissed when the band started to do the Jewish chair dance because she didn't want it (even though her groom is Jewish and from Israel).

My fave was probably Bart and Shelayna. They were kind of redneck-y. The groom's brother showed up to one of the events drunk.

I loved Antonella!! Wasn't she snapping on that lady!! To be honest I would have had the same reaction and I don't think that would make me a bridezilla!!!

Bart was funny in the store. He pissed her off and laughed about it. I was like "GOOO BART!":p

ETA: My fave quote from her "BART! Kick it up into high gear!"

Did you hear her speech? Inappropriate.*SMH* "Sorry for the delay with the wedding starting late but that will be dealt with.." (not word for word but close) WTF?!? Tacky, tacky, tacky...

Awww man!!!! This sucks that I'm not getting married anytime soon. I would sooooo sign up to be on that show!!! I would fully expect to be cheered on and badmouthed by my fellow GC'ers! :D

Maybe I could curse out my MIL or something to really get us talking! :D

Jill1228 10-27-2006 04:28 PM

Ok, i am going to have to start DVR-ing this show!

I remember when i got married I told my girls "if I ever start acting bridezilla, feel free to kick my ass!"

I only had a few bridezilla moments (well Mr. 1228 thinks I had more than that)...not NEARLY as bad as these heffas though

if you want to read about bridezillas, check out www.etiquettehell.com

Holy shite!

DSTCHAOS 10-27-2006 06:00 PM

:)

I watch this show whenever I stumble upon it. It's usually entertaining. Some of the Bridezillas are worse than others. Some of them are just bitches who happen to be getting married. Others are kinda humorous and they seem to just be stressed out.

Is there ever a such thing as Groomzillas or are men just not as caring or emotional about this whole wedding thing? I know there's this place Up North that does a one-day sale on wedding gowns and the women rush in, in a frenzy, sometimes hurting each other. Just another thing to make women look crazy or uncontrollably emotional, for whatever reasons. :D

Instead of encouraging women to bond with their inner Bridezilla so that they can be filmed (and look like an idiot), folks should be encouraging them to fight their inner Bridezilla, relax, and enjoy their upcoming nuptials and lifetime commitment ahead.

:) But that wouldn't make for good reality TV.

Yeah, it's called Filene's Basement in NYC and they have an annual bridal sale. I've never been & don't wanna go but have seen it on the boob-tube. Utter madness.

This is a show? It'd be a good one.

I've seen some mean brides -- some worse bride's maids. My wife was a bride's maid (or is it matron? I don't keep up with this stuff) recently. One of her co-bride's maids appointed herself the "Honorary Maid of Honor." Actually told the bride's mother to get that printed on the programs (which happened).

She then proceeds to tell me that I can't sit at the head table with my wife. What a jackass. We no longer socialize with her.

This (Irish?) woman is doing a book (or a movie?) on it. She went to get her dress and was intrigued by the experience. During her visit a lady had her arm broken. It's straight Pandabearmonium.

I'd rather spend the extra $300 bucks on a dress for the convenience of not having to do a "battle of the brides-to-be."

You sound like me...LOL. I always have to ask people which is which. I think it's the Matron of Honor that's the married one. Don't quote me on that.

Special occasions and life changing events like weddings bring the crazeeeeee out of some people.

Yes this is actually a show! :) It makes for really funny reality tv. I have yet to see a really psycho bridesmaid. A couple have come close though.

And a married head bridesmaid is called the matron of honor. The single head bridesmaid is the maid of honor.

Kevin 10-28-2006 09:32 PM

Why isn't a married bridesmaid called a bridesmatron?

Doesn't maid seem to indicate that the individual is somehow 'available'?

Well to some extent I guess that she is. A married Maid of Honor is a Matron of Honor. However, bride's matron just doesn't flow as well, so maybe we simply aren't using it.

Can't WAIT!!!!:D:D:D

I feel like such a weirdo for loving these kind of shows.

BTW...I think that was last season. Does anybody remember this couple...It was a black couple they were in their mid 30s (I guess) and the groom's name was Archie. He was such a cry baby and his wife was a bona fide BITCH. I loved that episode....it was sooooo funny.

Sorry if this ws already mentioned, I didn't read the whole thread.

oh my gosh...not only do i remember that couple, i watched the Bridezilla marathon later on just to catch that episode and record it! there is no way i would have married her. my man is very calm and laid back but if i had done him like that? he would have flipped the script on me...lets just hope they never have kids!
